“Royce was the best!!!!!! She brought homemade dog treats, walked our dog in the cold, and even looked after our cats. We loved getting the daily updates from her while we were out of town. She definitely looked after our pets like they were her own. We will be using her again. Thank you Royce!!!!”

“Logan is always so reliable and treats our pup with the love she deserves when we’re gone. Heidi loves him and is always eager to see him. The report cards and photos are always good information and make us happy.”

“Kristen did such an amazing job caring for our dogs while we were away. Our plans changed slightly and she was very accommodating and responsive to help however needed, which we appreciated so much. Will use her anytime we can and highly recommend, thank you!”

About: Hey y'all, I’m Erica, and I have loved animals my whole life. As a kid, I had pets and would rescue any broken thing in my path, and as an adult, I have fostered, trained, and rehomed many kitties and puppies. I started working for Rover a few years ago and really enjoy being that safe, relaxing place where your pets can feel like they're home. Boarding is my specialty, offering a peaceful country retreat where pets can enjoy plenty of love, attention, and room to unwind. I also offer day-care, drop-in visits and walks for pets who prefer to stay in their own space but still need care, company, and exercise. I’ve spent lots of time with professional trainers and am always learning new ways to keep pets happy, well-behaved, and thriving. Whether your pet needs a relaxing getaway, a midday walk, or a check-in while you’re away, they’ll be in great hands. I welcome friendly pets who enjoy a relaxed and loving space. Let’s make their stay a great one! I work remotely as a writer and have a flexible schedule. At home, I have two cats, Gremlin and Salem, and two friendly dogs, Bambi and Buddy. This setup allows me to provide plenty of attention and care to the pets I board or visit. I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality—whether they’re laid-back loungers or always on the move! I’m happy to care for pets of all ages and activity levels, whether in their own home or mine, depending on what suits them best. My home provides a safe and comfortable environment with a fenced-in yard and ample space to run, play, or simply relax by the lake.
About: Since a young age I've been caring for animals of all sizes. Whether it was finding a small homeless kitten and nursing it back to health at 7 years old, to starting my own dog walking service at 8, to currently working in an animal hospital caring for patients. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. My family has always known this was the field for me and I wouldn't change a thing. Even the most difficult animals deserve love, attention, and comfort. Big or small, I love them all. :) My current schedule varies between hours and days. Feel free with any questions or concerns you may have! Thank you so much for your time! i hope to hear from you shortly! I part time at a dental office, so this gives me more time to spend with your furbabies and sending updates on their staycation at home! Any updates to my schedule and I will immediately notify you. I have a fenced in large yard. My pets are crate trained but also enjoy company of friends! If your pet needs a more socially limited time, I am happy to accommodate that as well.
“Chealsea did a great job walking our two dogs this weekend. One dog is high energy and the other is blind. Chealsea had no problem with them. In addition, she was flexible when we needed to add another check in last minute as well as make a time change for the walk. I would recommend her and plan on using her again.”

“We really loved Elizabeth! The dogs, as well! One of my dogs, who is not affectionate with his kisses gave her a few licks! I am pretty sure she is the first person to get licks on the first visit. I know my dogs are in good hands with her!”

“I have large guardian breeds, and finding someone I trust with them isn't something I take lightly. Kate has consistently exceeded every expectation. She's calm, confident, responsible, and has a natural ability to connect with dogs that can be intimidating to most people. What truly sets her apart is her proactive communication. I never have to wonder how things are going because she's already sent an update, photo, or thoughtful note before the question even crosses my mind. She treats communication the same way she treats pet care—with attention, professionalism, and genuine care. Kate has that rare combination of reliability and intuition. She notices the little things, anticipates needs, and makes both pets and owners feel completely at ease. Whether it's managing routines, handling strong personalities, or simply showing up consistently and dependably, she does it all with grace. My dogs don't hand out trust easily, and neither do I. Kate earned both. If Rover had a Hall of Fame, she'd be in it.”

I’m patient with shy or anxious pets and let them go at their own pace and make sure every pet feels happy, secure, and cared for while you’re away. Pet care is a big part of my daily routine and something I love to do. I work remotely two days a week, and my schedule is very flexible and easily adjusted. I make sure each pet gets consistent attention, feeding, and playtime, and I’m happy to follow their routine to keep them happy and comfortable. I make safety and comfort my top priorities while caring for pets in their own home. I always prioritize their safety and comfort, keep the home clean and secure, and make sure pets are never put in an unsafe or stressful situation while in my care.
“Michael did a great job! My dog’s love him! When I’m away, Duke only eats for him. He gives them baths also. Sometimes I’m gone working 3-4 days a week. I know that they are in good hands. That’s always a relief for me. My 3 dogs are so happy to see him. He has been watching them for 4 years now!! Thank you!”
“Jessica is amazing. My dogs love her. She has stayed with them a couple times before but today I had a last minute request for her to do a drop in and she made it work! The best of the best”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Burnet. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
