“Kylie is absolutely wonderful! She’s reliable, trustworthy, and truly cares about my dog. Every walk leaves my pup happy and tired, and Kylie always takes the time to send photos, which gives me so much peace of mind. It’s clear she goes above and beyond to make sure my dog feels loved and well cared for. I feel so lucky to have found her—highly recommend Kylie to anyone looking for a fantastic dog walker!”

“This was my first experience using Rover, and Sandy went above and beyond. She provided consistent updates, shared photos, and gave our dog so much love and attention while we were out of town. She’s communicative, punctual, and incredibly reliable, we felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in such great hands. Highly recommend!”

“Sierra is punctual with her drop in visits. She is patient with our puppy who is still learning to not jump on people and to not attack the food bowl as soon as it’s filled with food.”

“Tuongvi and Reinaldi are amazing! We had them come visit the girls ahead of a house sitting arrangement and the girls just love them. I know that we can now go on vacation without having to worry and that our girls will be in excellent hands.”

About: I’ve had my beautiful dog buttercup for about 10 years now and my cat Donnie for about 4 years. I’ve had multiple jobs housesitting for multi animal houses and can’t wait to add your loved ones to my experience. I have no professional obligations currently. The only task I have throughout the day is to drop my partner off to work at 5 AM and pick him up at 3 PM. Open to all care needs. My love for animals makes me very detail oriented when it comes to care. I have cared for my dog through spinal issues and my cat through a urinary blockage.
About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I shared my life with a Cavalier named Bengy, who was our family companion for 10 wonderful years. After he passed, I knew I wanted to continue building meaningful connections with pets. I also have three cats of my own, so I understand the care, attention, and patience both dogs and cats need. Over the years, more than 50+ families have trusted me to care for their pets and homes, including overnight stays. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities—including pets with special needs. I’m experienced in giving medication, including pills hidden in treats or pill pockets, and making sure pets feel comfortable while taking them. I’m also happy to help with light cleaning or household care during visits. I have a flexible schedule, and I’m very active—I go to the gym every day, so I have plenty of energy to get dogs moving and keep them engaged on walks or playtime. I offer Dog Walking, Drop-In visits, and overnight pet sitting with attentiveness, patience, and lots of love. Safety is my top priority—I’m mindful of gates, doors, other pets, and any routines that help your pets feel comfortable. I truly love building bonds with pets and getting to know their unique personalities. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a happy, relaxed pup or a content cat while their family is away. I look forward to meeting your furry friends and giving them the care, attention, and energy they deserve! I’m currently unemployed and doing freelance work as a caregiver to both children and pets! I have a very flexible and open schedule and ready to assist as needed. Safety is my top priority. I hold myself to a bar in providing the safest care your animal can receive. I have an understanding of gates, animal behavior, and dangers that can be presented to your animal. Your animal is in safe hands!

About: I have been around and owned a number of different animals all throughout my life. I have a very soft spot in my heart for dogs and kitties. I used to find stray dogs as a kid and do my best to find them a loving home. Pets make everything better! I am currently a student doing all my schoolwork online from the comfort of my home. I run a couple errands during the day but they don’t keep me away from home for long. I also have a 15 year old daughter who does homeschooling and also loves pets just as much as her mom. There’s usually always someone home to care for the animals. I have a very well fenced in backyard. I have a big front yard also that I take the pets out in but on a leash of course. I also have an elderly small female dog. I have a male young cat, he’s inside and outside so he’s not always around
“Kyla was incredible, she did a check up on my puppy and made sure he got a little food and played with him so he could get some exercise. she left a great detailed summary and tons of photos showing my puppy having the time of his life. Super appreciative for her and could tell my pup had the time of his life with her!”

“Larisa went above and beyond! I booked with her pretty last minute, and she was incredibly flexible and accommodating. She kept me updated throughout the entire stay and even took my dogs to the dog park, which was such a thoughtful extra and not something I had asked or expected her to do. I felt completely at ease knowing they were in great hands. I will absolutely be booking with Larisa again!”

Im currently working on an online business where all I need is wifi and my laptop. Im also a college student looking to make some extra cash to pay off tuition. About: I have been around dogs and cats since I was born! Love animals and always have. If I could have any dog in the world it would be a Saint Bernard. They are just so big and huge, but for now I have a cute little mutt who is 13 and still energetic and healthy! I’ve had dogs jump on me, so I can handle big dogs. Rover has been recommended to me and I can’t wait to join in all the pet sitting fun!! I have a fenced yard that is a pretty good size for running around! My house is a little small inside, but it’s like a cute cottage. We keep our air conditioning cool and there’s comfortable spots for your pet to lay/sit on! We keep our house clean and picked up. You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:

- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
