“This was my first time leaving my fur baby with anyone and leaving her in Shekenia’s care was the best decision I could’ve made! I honestly don’t see myself leaving my dog with anyone else other than Shekenia because she’s just that dang good! I received daily updates and photos which I loveddd! I knew from the moment we met to do the drop off that I made the right choice. Her energy was everything and I knew my baby would be in great hands! 10/10 recommend!! Shekenia is the BEST!”

“Valerie is amazing with our fur babies. She is and has always has been our 1st choice for 4+ years. On this recent visit, our elderly fur baby was not feeling well. Valerie was quick to notify us (we were out of the country)...and after a visit to the vet, he returned to Valerie. She took EXCELLENT care of our baby!!”
“I have a problem pup that I didn’t initially know was going to be a problem. Paige did a wonderful job working with my skittish female shepherd, keep her safe and loved until I got back home! She even checked up on my chickens for me while I was gone! 10/10 would recommend.”

“Our goldendoodle Luca had his second week-long stay with Scott and Heather recently and he was so excited when he got to their house! I love that he gets lots of playtime and exercise with other dogs inside and outside as well as plenty of cuddling with the family. We received several daily video and photo updates and I could tell Luca was having as much fun on his vacation as we were! When my dog follows Scott everywhere he goes, I can tell he’s being well taken care of. Scott and Heather will be our first choice when we need to board our fur baby!”

“My wife and have been using dog sitters to help us with our significant travel schedule for over 20 years. We have had some good ones, some not-so-good ones, and a couple of very good ones. Presently we have a 9 pound Havanese and a 23 pound mini Irish Doodle. We chose Mitzi (and her family) for our recent two week trip to Long Island. Granted that this was our first time using her, but our experience with Mitzi was as good or better than any other sitter we have ever used. She listens well and has great attention to detail. Her house and large enclosed yard are perfect, and she and her husband both work from home. She loved our dogs as if they were her own (she has four), and they loved her and her entire family. She communicated with pics and video at least two or three times a day to help us stay connected with our dogs and assure us everything was well. Our dogs came home happy and exhausted from so much paly and run time. While nothing unusual happened during their stay at Mitzi's, I am convinced that I could depend on her to do whatever is necessary for them in love. We plan to use Mitzi as long as she is available.”

“I was new to Rover and now I don’t know how I’ve gone without it. Sonia and her husband are sweet and took great care of my fur baby, even providing me with tips as this is my first dog and they have lots of experience”

“Charlie had an amazing time and felt right at home at Luke’s house. His huge backyard offered the perfect space for him to run around and play in. It was also a plus Luke’s dog was there to play around and wrestle with. Luke is great and very tentative to whatever your dog’s needs are no matter how big or small. Will definitely book again in the future!”

“Ashley and family were great! If I could give her 10 stars I would. We planned a weekend in Rocky Mount and booked boarding for our dog at a local boarding place. We dropped her off and before we left they let us know she was too anxious and would not be able to tolerate the whole weekend there. We tried one other boarding facility and they had a similar set up so I knew she wouldn't be able to stay there either. I found Ashley on rover and messaged her about booking for the weekend last minute. Our dog is very anxious around other dogs which becomes aggression because she gets so worked up. Ashley was able to keep her for the weekend and keep her separated from their other dogs in the home. I was very relieved to know she was safe and taken care and that the other dogs in the home were safe too. When we arrive Harley went right in with them and was happy when we picked her up! They were very understanding and accommodated us so we did not have to cancel our trip last minute. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I will definitely be booking with Ashley any time we are in the area.”

“Danielle was amazing! Incredible communication and pictures every day! Highly recommend! I definitely would book again with Danielle. Thank you so much for taking care of Buzz 😊”

“Matt is wonderful! Very communicative, flexible and accommodating, gives quality frequent updates, and took great care of Piper and the stuff we sent with her. We will definitely book with Matt again.”

“Kelly and Jacob were great. They took care of my hyper 3month old Lab puppy for the weekend. My dog seemed to feel safe with them as he was cuddling up with the kids on the couch. Kelly was great about sending pictures of my puppy during his stay and made me not have to worry about if he was okay.”

“Leaving our Ollie with Kerri for the 7 days we were out of town was the BEST decision we could have possibly made. She is super easy to communicate with. She has studied animal behaviors so I knew that no matter how many dogs she had (it was the 4th of July week-busy!) she would make the right decisions with how to handle our girl. She would send pictures and videos so we could see our girl. Kerri is very professional yet extremely easy to talk to and oh so friendly. Just use her-she’s the best. We didn’t know if Ollie would want to come back home to us bc she had so much fun at Kerri’s! Ha!”

“Outstanding care for our senior dog Roxie! Martine & Ronald went above & beyond with our fragile girl. We were so lucky to find them. They treated our dog like their own & showered her with attention & affection. Highly recommend for all pet needs! Thank you so much!”

“Sloane was fantastic in caring for our dog. We appreciated her thoughtfulness, especially appreciated her coordination with us as we juggled his care while we stay focused on a family member’s health. We can’t imagine better dog sitting.”

“Luis was wonderful. He communicated every step of the way. He was kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. I made a mistake and he was more than gracious about it. This was my first experience with Rover and I was extremely nervous. However, I will definitely be looking to work with him again.”

“So happy Onyx stayed with this lovely family. Marissa was warm and inviting. She shared pictures of Onyx with us while he was there. I have no complaints and will definitely use them again! If they are available. ☺️”

“Polly loved staying at Jerry's and having lots of doggy friends around 24/7. Great communication with Jerry and enjoyed the videos that he sent. Love that dogs can go into and out of the yard as they please. Loved that I didn't have to worry about Polly while I went out of town. Highly recommend!”

“Great communication, regular updates on Nikki. Did everything she could when some separation anxiety resulted in our dog not eating for the first few days. You won't regret boarding with Adriana. I know I'll be back.”

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
