When we got to Ashley's home, we were greeted by Ashley and Cheyenne. To our surprise, PJ was so happy to see them! He jumped out of the car, went to them, and never turned around to say goodbye - our feelings were hurt, but that was the reassurance we needed to enjoy our time visiting with family for the day and night - we were not worried at all! Ashley even took the time to send us pictures of PJ interacting with the entire family (people and fur family members) and gave us the feedback we need regarding PJ's behavior with others. We will definitely be visiting with Ashley whenever we are in Rocky Mount. I actually wish we lived in the same town so we could have play dates and family outings together. About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, up to three at a time. Over the years I’ve taken in many rescues and fostered dogs from time to time — big or small, young or old it doesn’t matter to me. I’ve also had cats throughout my life. Simply put, I’m an animal lover. Right now I have two dogs of my own, River and Bruiser (an 85lb beauceron and a 35lb true mutt, both rescues, who have traveled cross country with me. They hike, camp and swim but mostly love cuddles. I’m experienced giving medications when needed — oral meds, ear drops, you name it — and I’ve helped several dogs recover post-surgery. I’ve worked with dogs of all ages, behaviors and sizes. I’m active and outgoing, so I love taking dogs for long walks. I work from home, so as long as there’s Wi-Fi, I’m happy to house-sit and hang out with your dogs or cats while I work. I’m also available for quick drop-in visits — walks, feeding, water, play, fetch, whatever’s needed. Flexible scheduling works fine for me. I work from home full time so I’m here with them all day. We typically go for three walks a day in addition to play time in the yard and most importantly lots of belly rubs and cuddles. I have a fenced yard where we play fetch, take the sun and play in the sprinklers. Dogs have free reign and are allowed on couches and beds.

About: I have always had animals in my home growing up. Currently I own 4 cats but have had small rodents such as hamsters and guinea pigs as well. I worked in pet care for Petsmart and worked there for 2 and a half years before beginning my teaching career. As someone who has had rodents and taken care of reptiles at Petsmart, don’t hesitate to contact me if you have exotics! I have taken care of and watched my parents animals which consisted of 6 cats, one had to have insulin twice a day. “Jeremy and Lauren were amazing! Their home is set up to be so accommodating for the love of dogs! Their back yard is fully fenced and perfect for playing, running and staying cool in the shade! Our dog is typically nervous and shy around others so we were very anxious about boarding. But she was so happy, she played with their dogs and was truly loved by Jeremy and Lauren! What a perfect relief for this nervous dog mom! We will definitely be setting up vacations with Jeremy and Lauren again and again! They are fantastic!”
