About: My mom has been dog sitter for years, so I have seen every color hair on the couches and floors. I do have 1 senior shih tzu, and a 3 year old shorkie that has an excessive amount of energy. I recently had a part time job that fit perfectly with my school schedule. This year my school schedule is a little unique and after awhile I felt over worked. I chose to work with animals because I like their presence, and it doesn’t feel like a job. I have 4 animals that live in my house. 2 cats, and 2 dogs. I treat your home with respect and clean up after any mess the dog has made while you were away. About: I have prior experience working as a member of the kennel staff at a pet boarding facility for roughly 4 years. I worked with all types of breeds, temperaments, and sizes, so I feel extremely comfortable with a large majority of dogs and cats. Duties of this job included walking, facilitating group play times, cleaning, feedings, socialization, and administering medications. Additionally, I served as a volunteer for the Guide Dog Foundation for 2 years while in school at UGA. I helped train dogs and socialize dogs by bringing them to class with me. I also took them on walks, the dog park, and coordinated play times with other guide dogs in training. I worked with dogs from 3 months old to 1 and a half years old. I love all animals and would love to take care of your pets! I’m currently unemployed as I’m preparing to start Physician Assistant school this summer. I’m free at most hours Monday-Friday and select weekends. This will be my main commitment prior to starting school. I currently have three dogs, a shih tzu and two labs. We have a large fenced in front yard and back yard in which I take the dogs out to play multiple times a day. I also enjoy taking my dogs for walks at local trails and parks. About our home & yard: We have four dogs ourselves (Maui, Momo, Samson, and Coco) ranging from 10 to 50 lbs. Our little pack is very friendly and loves making new friends to run with in our fully fenced 0.3 acre back yard. I work from home running my own business and treat your pet like my own during their stay. Our dogs are with me in the home throughout the day. We take breaks at least every 2 hours to potty and play fetch (spending more time out in the yard on nice days, always supervised play) and go for evening walks. We include unlimited belly rubs and ear scratches at no additional charge! :) I am happy to make accommodations based on your pet's normal routine, such as a midday walk, to help your pup feel acclimated. I enjoy sending photos and updates of your pet's adventures because I know how much I love receiving these from our pet sitters when we are away! We also understand that sometimes pets are happier in their own space. I am available to make drop in visits and provide walks. Based on availability I can home sit as well and will follow your pet's normal routine to ensure they are as comfortable as possible while you are away. While I would not recommend boarding your feline companions in our home (for their own comfort), I am happy to complete drop-in visits or house sitting for your cats. I've had five amazing feline pets and have a special place in my heart for the kitties as well! Why I love pet sitting: I have been an animal lover my whole life, especially cats and dogs. They always put a smile on my face with their unique and loving personalities. As a pet mom I understand the challenges that come with finding pet sitters you can trust who are also affordable.
