About: I have grown up with 3+ dogs in a household. Currently I am the primary caretaker for all three of my dogs and have one current senior pup as well! I have trained all my dogs and am attentive to their needs and behavior as well. I am current college student who has free afternoons and weekends. I would be able to let dogs out in between classes as well or walk them. At home, I consider taking care of my personal dogs apart of my daily routine as well. I have a fenced in yard and crates for all dogs as well as a baby gate that can separate the dogs at any time. At home I am consistently loving on the dogs and taking them outside to run around the yard as well as taking them on walks or drives.

About: Ive taken care of dogs and cats my entire life. I adore my pets and any dog/cat I meet. I love taking my dog on a walk and making sure she’s bathed frequently. Pet care fits into my daily routine because I prioritize consistency with feeding, bathroom breaks, and walks. I understand how important routine is for animals, so I make sure their needs are met on time every day. I also plan ahead and arrive early to ensure I have enough time to get them settled, give them attention, and stick to their regular schedule without rushing. Whether in my own home or a client’s, I care for pets by following a consistent routine to each animal’s specific needs. This includes feeding them on schedule, making sure they have fresh water, and providing regular bathroom breaks.

About: I’ve been petsitting for my friends and neighbours since I was 12, including administering medication, cleaning messes, housekeeping, and most all other common tasks and chores. If there’s a task you need of me that I don’t have experience in, I’d be glad to learn. As of right now I’m still in school, but after graduation (end of May, roughly) I’ll be available nearly 24/7. It’ll be ideal for me not to be scheduled for boarding on Fridays, but I will, of course, if your schedule calls for it! I absolutely value the trust of my clients and the safety of their pets, and will always do everything I can for them to feel they can leave their home and the pets inside it safe and secure with me.

About: When I was younger I had my own business taking care of pets and house sitting. I’ve always had dogs in my family since I was born and sleep with them every night. I grow up with my pets and see them at all their lows and can handle any situation they throw at me. As of right now, I’m free from 1-3:30 and anytime after 5 from Monday - Thursday. Friday I’m caught up in football until the season ends. On the weekends I’m free all the time. I have a fenced yard and a perfect pet friend to stay by their side. My whole family enjoys dogs and they’re treated like family here.

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats since I was nine years old! I have pretty good understanding of how to best care for dogs and cats from small to big. I’ve also always been the “can you wash the dogs” person in my family, so if you need your dog to get a wash when I go see them, I can definitely do that too! Since I just graduated from college, I do have a more open day time schedule during the week, and my weekends have opened up a lot more. There will absolutely be no trouble with taking care of your doggos and cats week days from 11am-4pm and weekends from 12-5pm! At my house I do have a fenced in backyard, and a big neighborhood to walk the dogs through so they get thorough walk time! I also can crate your dog before I leave so they don’t run wild in the house, if you needed that!

About: Growing up in the country, I had access to all kinds of animals. I had a pet pig, chicken, and dogs. To me, pets aren't pets, they are members of our family. I have been apart of Rover for almost 2 years and still love it. I love meeting new owners and their babies! I'm also always taking on new clients! I am comfortable and have experience in giving your baby medications and injections. I work for Hendricks and my hours are Monday to Thursday 745am to 5pm, and Fridays 745am to 12pm. I only get a 30 minute lunch, which makes it difficult to do a drop in during the day. While I am not available to keep your "kiddo" at my own home, I am happy to stay where your "child" is most comfortable, their own home. If they are anything like my daughter was (a 12 year old basset hound) home was her place.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
