About: I am always the first to be called when a friend needs doggy daycare or house sitting with dogs, cats, and often other animals. I’ve fostered and found homes for rescues internationally and domestically. I’ve worked for a doggy daycare where I was responsible for 50-70 dogs with a crew of 2-4 people. I also spent a few months off and on taking care of 10-22 huskies while part of the herd were sled racing. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and enjoy seeing all of their unique personalities. I’ve loved animals since I was small. We always had cats when I was little, as well as ducks, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, my turtle boy China B, parakeets, and a Senegal parrot foster. I was surprised with a rescue dog when I was 10, Hemingway. It was an amazing experience and I helped train Hemmy to be a service dog for my grandmother who was visually impaired. Winter rates are now $250/day for basic overnights, includes 3 pets. Will adjust include extra rates accordingly to animals and household needs. I’m self employed and have the flexibility to set my daily schedule around your animals needs and regular routine. Lots of scritches, play time and love are part of my commitment to your pets. I am available for short and long walks (depending on your animals needs and ability), playtime, companionship, love and affection, meals and snacks as well as monitoring medication if needed.

Our cats need extra care; they are 15 years old, finicky eaters, and one needs insulin shots twice a day (for diabetes) and a pain pill once a day (for arthritis). Chuck took great care of, and quickly bonded with, both of them. He also took great care of our home. All while sending us frequent updates and pictures. When we got home our cats were calm and happy--proof that Chuck had given them lots of loving attention, managed to get them to eat regularly, and ably handled the medical needs of our more ailing kitty. About: I have had and cared for dogs of all shapes and sizes my whole life. I have left a 20 year career in the medical field to pursue my dream of spending as much time as possible with fur babies (mine and yours!) I am trustworthy and understand fully how much your pets mean to you as I have two pups of my own. They will be safe and loved under my care. I am currently in the process of taking a dog walking and behavioral course through IAP College to further educate myself on caring for dogs. Whether I am walking, visiting or spending the night with your pup they will be my only commitment and they will have my undivided attention. I believe it is best for dogs to remain in their own home when their families are away if possible. I feel that it eases their stress to be able to stay in their own environment with their regular routine. My goal is to keep things as close to their normal routine as possible.

I am a teacher, so come summer time I will have a large amount of availability to walk or pet sit! As of right now, I work M-F 7:45-2:45 but could arrange to let your dog out for a potty break around 11:30. I am very attentive and always make sure to keep your pet’s safety a number 1 priority. Monitoring them when in the house/on walks is a must and keeping in contact with you about any possible issues that may come up are always important.
