“We're so grateful for Noah! We had a short notice need for a sitter for our two Australian Shepherds and Noah saved us. We were very pleased with the service and care for our pups and will ask Noah for help again.”

“Amber took great care of our pups and house over the weekend. Many photo updates and happy pups when we got home. I would absolutely recommend and look forward to working with her again soon!”

About: I have had pets of my own for the past 38 years, since I was 12 years old. I also have a degree in biology and chemistry and have worked in animal hospitals and zoos. My husband, Scott, has had pets all his life. We treat our pets with the love and care that family members deserve, and we take our responsibility to them very seriously. Currently, we have a 2 year old black lab who absolutely loves all other animals, and a 14 year old cat who mostly sleeps in quiet, dark places. Our dog, Rosie, is always looking for new friends and is very submissive with them. She just wants to play and snuggle! Our children are grown and help with the care of them. Our house is full of pet lovers! We are very active and love to go for hikes, and we always keep dogs on their leash on the trails. We're happy to take your doggy to the dog park, as well, if you request it. You can have total peace of mind while your pup stays with us! I currently work part time and Scott, my husband, is a teacher and has summers off. I'm home a lot during the entire year, and we're both home on weekends. We have a fenced in backyard for running around and playing fetch. We have a large house and a fenced in yard where our dog, Rosie, loves to run around or playing fetch with us. We regularly go for walks in the neighborhood and hikes in the woods or on the beach. We love to take Rosie to the dog park, but will skip it if you're not comfortable with it. Scott is a teacher and has weekends and all summer free. Stephanie works part time, mostly from home and is at home most of the time during the week and is also available weekends. We have a large fenced yard and a wonderful Labrador retriever to keep your fur baby happy! We love giving dogs love and attention! We also love to take walks if that is something your dog enjoys.

“Vesta took great care of our and cats at our home. She sent photos of all of them and kept us updated when she arrived and left. It was awesome that she came to meet them before the booking so we knew they’d be comfortable with her. Pepperoni thanks you for the couch snuggles, Vesta!”

About: Animals have always had a special place in my heart. I’m naturally nurturing and currently in school pursuing a career in nursing, so caring for others comes naturally to me. Since I was young, I’ve had a strong connection with animals and enjoy building bonds with pets of all ages and personalities. I’ve trained my pets and I currently have a cat and a dog of my own. My dream is to one day have a farm filled with animals! Spending time with pets is something I truly love. I would be honored to care for your furry family members and provide them with plenty of love, attention, and companionship while you're away. I am available Monday through Sunday various times and for overnight stays if needed. I am in the TC area until the end of August. I am happy to work with a family and all your needs for care. I always keep a pet's safety and care as my number one priority. My kitty and dog are my world, and I would treat other animals the same way I treat my own. I would be sure to keep them fed. loved and nurtured while they are in my care.
“Mika (my cat) was well cared for while I was away for several days. Kris sent photos and it was clear that MIka was smitten. I think that Kris is her new favorite person. I appreciated the care that Kris provided Mika, as well as my home. It was great coming back to a happy cat and a clean house!”

“This is the second time Michelle has stayed with our two pups and we came home to two happy, well-cared for pets and a spotless home. It is very nice to have a dependable sitter and sets my mind at ease while away from home!”

“Jordan stayed with our 2 dogs while we were on vacation for a few days. She was so kind and updated me many times with how they were doing and pictures for us to see. She even tidied up and did laundry for us which blew me away! I felt great leaving our dogs with her and would request her again! 🙂”

“Carissa was absolutely great! She was on time, communicated and responded quickly, and left the house in immaculate shape. Her love of dogs was obvious and our dog was content and healthy when we returned. I would highly recommend Carissa and would happily use her services again.”

“Marcus was great with my German Shepherd, Dax. He came out for a meet and greet and spent an hour with us before booking to make sure it was a good match for all of us. He played fetch, took him for walks and otherwise played with him and to get him his needed exercise. If the need arises, we will def. be using Marcus again and would recommend his services.”

About: As a dog owner and sitter, I have had years of experience with dogs of different ages. I have learned to work with their different traits, routines, and personalities when caring for numerous dogs. Returning and new clients have appreciated my photo updates with their pup and can rely on me communicating clearly. As a college student I often have the mornings and evenings open as I tend to have classes in the evening. My schedule frequently changes so I often communicate when I am busy. But I usually have pet owners communicate a time they would like me to pet sit and I try to clear up my schedule. I also can work with last minute requests as well as I know life can be hectic. I ensure safety, communication, and a comfortable environment for your furry friends. When caring for pets in their home, I ensure to follow routines that pet parents write out for me, along with giving them picture updates of their pets.
“Sydney did a fantastic job watching our two dogs, Sadie and Ginger, during our trip out of town. She sent us consistent updates -- with photos -- and was very flexible in making her schedule mesh with our own needs. We will use Sydney again!”

“Ryan was great! Our senior dog recently lost her litter mate sister and gets very anxious when left alone. Ryan watched her for us 3 times over a weekend at our rental and our dog took to her right away. Ryan was very accommodating, punctual, helpful. When we’re back in the area she’s our first choice. Highly recommended!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Buckley on Rover is $49.95 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 136 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Buckley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Buckley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Buckley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Buckley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Buckley. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
