“Shayna stayed at our home for 5 days while we were gone on vacation. We’ve been nervous to leave our two herding breed dogs with a pet sitter as they don’t warm up to strangers quickly. But this was not the case with Shayna. She was so calm and relaxed meeting them that they quickly relaxed with her. Shayna is very professional and conscientious and she was great about communicating on medications for our dog with Addison’s. This made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our trip! The house was clean and well cared for and we are so happy to have found a pet sitter that our dogs like and trust. I highly recommend Shayna!”

About: I have experience caring for lots of animals like cats and dogs. I had to help raise our kittens after their mom died when they were two weeks old. I have basic experience with animal care, special diets and medication, and showing them love and attention! Also, I am only available until the beginning of August, I am home from school this summer and will be leaving back for this fall semester. I work part time several days a week during the day. Typically 6 hour days when I’m pet sitting. Depending on location, might be able to work something out if your pets can’t be home alone that long. I tend to spend time with the animals where I can be around them, such as being in the living room if they’re inside animals or checking on them often if they’re outdoors. Try to follow whatever schedule the animal needs to the best of my ability (such as feeding times or walks).
“Sabrina is a joy to work with to watch our lil dude Nico. Her communication is fantastic and she always went the extra mile to ensure he was well-cared for. We had complete ease of mind being away and knowing that he received lots of love, cuddles and care.”

“Sienna took great care of my house for 3 days. I have a large property with lots of plants, a large dog, and two cats. Everything was in tip top shape when we came home and she took so many cute pics of the animals. We will definitely trust her with our house and our fur babies again!”

“Louisa is our go-to sitter for our two pups. She is amazing! She gets our dogs out on regular walks, gives them cuddles and is incredibly responsive. We will use her every time if we can!”

About: I grew up with beloved household pets, and house sitting and dog walking jobs throughout my schooling. I have done this for cats and dogs alike of all kinds. I'm excited to continue the journey now through this platform and I hope I can be of help to many more in need. As a teacher, I have summers off. There is more time for house and pet sitting during my summers. The rest of the year I would work around my school calendar. I can followed detailed instructions, times for medications, walks, check ins, and feeding. If pet needs to be in a crate, I can proceed with owner preferences.
About: Not only do I have 10 years of experience of pet sitting, I have experience working with shelter dogs. I’ve been with Placer SPCA as a volunteer for many years. I work with fearful, excitable, shy and even reactive dogs on a weekly basis. I make sure to give them the best care I can provide. I have plenty of free time and my shelter schedule is very flexible! I spend most of my time caring for pets or working with animals. I am someone that you can contact last minute for pet sitting! I will make sure that your pet gets all the love, care and attention your best friend could possibly need. I provide mostly overnight care, in which I make sure your pup is cared for in the same way you do every day. Building trust is very important to me, I’ll make sure to send pictures of your dog (or other animals) along with a report of how they are doing and any other info you may need.
“Josh is the first home & dog sitter we've ever used and he's set the bar incredibly high for anyone we work with in the future! During the booking process, Josh was friendly and quick to respond. He kept us updated on how things were going while we were away, and we came home to happy pups and an immaculately clean home. Thank you so much for your great service Josh! Looking forward to working with you again in the future!”

About: I have taken care of dogs on my own since I got my dog Mr. Buddy who is an Australian Shepard. I raised him from a puppy when I got him in Alaska when I was in the air force. I also watch my sister's dogs all the time, and I've decided to turn my love of dogs into a profession. I've learned a lot about dogs from great people like ceaser milon and the dog father, and many great people I've met along the way on my travels in the military. Your dogs will be well taken care of under my care. I have decided to do this as a full time gig. I want to be my own boss and work better with animals then I do people lol. I have delt with dogs of every age from my grandparents older German Shepard of 14 years old to my dog Mr. Buddy as a young 12 week old pup. I can assure that I will adhere to any safety practices that you want for your fur baby. I also have my 4 year old Aussie, Mr. Buddy, that does great with other dogs and socializing them. I've seen him help mentally troubled dogs many times. Off course I will not bring him if the client doesn't want him there. But once again I care assure that any dog will be safe under my care.

“Britt did such an incredible job with our cat. It was evident our cat was in good hands by looking at photos and videos of the two playing and cuddling together. She went above and beyond in keeping our house clean and communicating. We will definitely be booking her again!”

About: I am a lover of animals in general. I have had dogs, cats, horses and goats all my life and know the commitment and care that goes into owning and loving them as family members. I have lived on a ranch and can care for livestock as well. I have been caring for my own animals, as well as friends, family and clients since I was a young girl. I do work from home, so I am here all day every day to meet the needs of your pet. I am willing to discuss transport options. My dogs will be here to entertain them as well. I have three dogs, a 10 yro Pug, an 11 yro island mix breed and a mix breed Doodle pup about 2 an a half. I recovered out of a ditch. They are all very good natured, live in the house and on the furniture. It is not a free for all, I do have some rules, so I think. I also have 3 cats, horses and some goats. I can-do drop-in care or house sit on site. I have 20 acres in Pilot Hill. The property is not fully fenced, but I do have the materials and ability to put up pens. If you would like your pet to come here, we will discuss the individual needs of your pet.

FAQs for House Sitting - Buckeye
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 947 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Buckeye. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Buckeye walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Buckeye maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Buckeye choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
