About: I have been passionate about animals, big and small, my entire life! I have volunteered at humane societies, fostered animals in need, cared for the pets of family members and friends, interned at AZA-accredited zoos, and worked at wildlife sanctuaries. Currently I am a full-time licensed wildlife rehabilitator caring for injured and orphaned Wisconsin wildlife with the goal of releasing them back into the wild, but I have previously worked with a variety of domestic animals both in my personal and in my professional life. I am well versed in animal behavior, body language, and positive reinforcement. I promise to treat (and spoil) your pets like they are my own! At the moment I have 3 sweet cats, a high-energy dog, a mischievous chinchilla, and a gentleman of a ball python! Please do not hesitate to reach out and get to know me more! “I can’t speak highly enough of Vicki! Every day we got a little update on how our cat was doing, and it was much appreciated. Vicki clearly got to know her, paid attention to her idiosyncrasies, and enjoyed playing with her and taking care of her. She not only cleaned our cat’s random messes, but apparently the remains of some creature that was eaten right outside the door… that would not have been a fun thing to come home to… As luck would have it, our street got flooded while we were gone. Vicki sent daily reports and pics about the water level in the yard and the basement condition. She was ready to move things as needed (thankfully it was not needed). Finally, she was worried we might be getting home a bit too late on the last day, so paid an extra visit to our furry one without being asked. In short, I recommend Vicki 100% and will definitely use her services again! Thanks Vicki!”

About: I started caring for animals at a young age. Walking, medicating, cleaning and spending time with them. I really love spending one on one time with any pet! I work at 11am M,W,Th,F so am available anytime before 11 those days & then anytime on T,S,Su! I am also available most holidays, I try to have a flexible schedule. I have a golden retriever named Mobi and a Tabby cat named tiger. I clean tigers litter box while maintaining his diet. As for Mobi I feed him, talk to Him, sit outside with him and walk him.

About: Animals have always been a part of my life. They show us so much love. Who are we not to give it back in return. Since the passing of our long time dog (Roc,15) we’ve been watching our friends and family dogs while they’re out of town. In each case the owners return with their dogs a little hesitant about wanting to return home. LOL. I work from home and I have no plans of switching to another job that would require me to go into the office. Therefore, I have plenty of time to play with your big and little babies. I also like to take walks at minimum twice a day. This is a perfect time for your fur babies to stretch their legs. After a nice long walk I clean their paws to make sure they leave the yucky stuff outside. I have a designated area where they can sleep. However, I like to keep them close to me during the day while I’m working. I think it sets them up for a positive visit. They immediately become part of the family. I also have the flexibility to take them out throughout the day. There is a highly recommended veterinarian within a two minute driving distance and maybe a ten minute walk in the event of an emergency.

About: Welcome to The Hardy-Berndt Ranch! Our family adopted our first dog together shortly after moving into our first home. Since then, we have adopted many more, fostered almost forty dogs together, and love having extra heartbeats in our home. We even chose our current home for its dog-friendly neighborhood, large yard with multiple fenced areas, and plenty of space for visiting dogs to settle in and feel comfortable. We appreciate dogs of all sizes, shapes, breeds, and ages with a soft spot for shy dogs, big dogs, and seniors. Our resident dogs are friendly and enjoy a good romp with well-matched playmates. Dogs who enjoy the company of other canines will be welcome to visit in our home and be with our resident pups. Having fostered several dogs with challenging behaviors and understanding how important it is for them to be safe and comfortable, we welcome dogs who may prefer to be separate from others and/or enjoy the company of humans only. For dogs working on social skills and with specific training needs, our family will gladly discuss with you and do our best to reinforce the training you are working on at home. As you will see from our photos, we do have a dedicated "rescue room" devoted to canine visitors who would prefer a little extra space. This includes a private, fenced yard area connected so visitors can be outdoors without interacting with others if needed. Our household is committed to helping your pet(s) feel comfortable and receive the best possible care while you travel. We look forward to meeting you and your beloved pets! Our home life centers around our children and pets so we are home more often than not. Visiting dogs are a welcome part of our home life and the kids love meeting new canine friends (and seeing their favorites come back again!). We primarily offer care for dogs in our home. This allows us to integrate them into our routine when it works for them and their families.
