“Literally could not ask for a better rover!!! James checked in on Finley last minute for us and was fantastic. He was incredibly attentive and great with communication. He made sure to keep me updated and let me know exactly how Finley was doing while I was away. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone to do drop-ins!!!”

About: I have experience dropping in to feed cats and giving them the attention and love they want. I also grew up with a lot of friends with dogs, and I get along with their pets very well. I work part time in retail at two different stores, but they schedule me for only a few days a week and no more than 6 hours, so I have lots of time for your animals. I care for pets in my clients homes. I give them love and attention but I will also give space if they’re not up for play time.
“Erin was great!! She was punctual, communicative, and overall fantastic! I have a cat and dog and know they can be a handful at times. She did a great job taking care of them and also making sure I was updated on them everyday!”

“Alondra took wonderful care of my two dogs and bunny while we were away. She was always punctual with her check-ins, made sure the dogs got outside to use the bathroom each visit, and kept us updated along the way. It was clear that all of our pets loved her and were comfortable in her care. We had complete peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I would absolutely book Alondra again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

About: My name is Joseph. I recently graduated from college and am living with my family and sweet Yellow Labrador in Mendham, NJ. I’m available for, and have references for, both in-house pet sitting, dog walking, and pet visits. I love to take extra time to care for your pets, such as giving them extra love and taking them on long, relaxing walks if they like that. I get great happiness from taking care of animals and would love to help out in any way you may need! I work part-time at a restaurant Thursday-Sunday evenings, generally from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Aside from that, I am pretty flexible and can work from the location with your pet(s) or come for visits, whichever the client prefers. I would not be caring for the pets in my own home since I am living with others. I would instead care for them in the client’s home according to their instructions.
“Great care & service. I hired Bridget last second, for a holiday and she was quick to reply, very reliable and provided great care. My Australian Shepherd was happy & enjoyed the walks. Great experience and will definitely hire again. Thank you Bridget.”

“Nicole did an amazing job with our 15-year old grandpa cat while we were out of town. She's friendly and attentive and was very persistent with getting our cat to eat his pill (a tough job even for us). Her Rover comments were detailed and always came with nice pics so we felt comfortable knowing he was being well taken cared of. He loves attention and usually is a little stressed when we return from trips after being without us, but this time he was the most chill we've ever seen him, thanks to the great care he got from Nicole. We look forward to having her catsit again!”

“Jackie was wonderful- she took the best care of our dog, Leo! She was flexible with the schedule and very prompt and thorough with her updates. We felt super comfortable leaving Leo in her care while we went on vacation. We would definitely book with her again:)”

About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs for years now, and I also have experience taking care of other dogs. I’ve walked, fed, and pet-sat for multiple different families around my hometown. i’m currently working part time, and want to incorporate pet sitting into my daily routine. an ideal day would be waking up early to walk some dogs, head to my part time job, walk some more dogs, hang out at home, and end the night by walking more dogs. :) I am kind, understanding, and patient when it comes to taking care of your fluffy friends. I love visiting the dog park and other green spaces, and would love to do so with your dogs!
“Isaac was great and communicated well! We had a last minute outing to see some family and didn’t want to leave Jolie for 8 hours. Isaac kept her great company and sent lots of pictures so we knew she was happy while we were out!”

“Cassidy is a wonderful, experienced, thoughtful dog sitter. I returned from my trip and my mini-bernedoodle Zoe was clearly happy and content from her time spent with Cassidy. I highly recommend Cassidy for watching your pup.”

About: Over the past 5+ years, I’ve cared for the pets of friends and family, not as a business, but as a way to support them during vacations, work trips, or emergencies. It’s something I’ve always done out of love and a genuine desire to help. My wife also grew up having different pets, including cats, dogs, and other small animals. Together, we share a strong bond with animals and a commitment to provide them with comfort, safety, and affection. I work 100% from home, which allows me to provide consistent attention and care to the pets I look after. Your dog will enjoy plenty of companionship, playtime, and bathroom breaks throughout the day. They’ll never feel alone or ignored. We live in a comfortable, pet-friendly townhouse where your pet will be treated like family. Pets are welcome on the furniture and free to roam throughout the house. There are no restrictions on movement inside, so they can relax and settle in wherever they feel most comfortable. While we don’t have a backyard, we make sure dogs get regular outdoor time with safe, on-leash walks around our quiet, secure complex and the surrounding neighborhood. We never allow pets off-leash while outside, under any circumstances, to ensure their safety at all times.

Elizabeth and her husband were excellant cat sitters! Lulu is a shy and anxious cat with some bathroom quirks but they were able to handle it with no issues and Lulu even came out to play once or twice! I am really grateful for their professional care of my cat. ☺️ thank you again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brookside. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
