It’s so nice to know that we can all leave town as a family now, and one of us doesn’t have to stay behind to take care of of Angel. We used a kennel service one time, and we will never go that route again. Regan is awesome!”

About: I am a farm girl that has loved animals her whole life! I started working for a dog and cat breeder over 10 years ago and fell in love! I love caring and nurturing animals and I would love to love on yours! I currently am a student at SDSU and have a part time day job. I would be more than willing to stop by in the evenings, early in morning, and periodically throughout the day to care for your pet! I do not have a yard for pets to play in at my home but I can let them play in the yard of the clients home or take them for walks, etc

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was about 10, my dad is a hunter so I grew up with dogs - puppies all the way to seniors. We've had 3 litters of puppies so I have experience with the youngsters! Currently, we have 4 English Setters ranging from age 2-11. I'm currently a student athlete at SDSU so will be in the Brookings area until I graduate this coming Spring! I am available most days. I care for pets in the way that I am affectionate, yet also know to let the pet know they aren't in charge. Otherwise, I love cuddles, playing outside, and going for walks!

About: I have cared for animals longer than I can remember. I have had experience with just about any animal you can think of. I have always watching neighbors/friends animals and really enjoy doing it. My grandparents own a ranch in SD so I think that is where my love for animals started. I would be able to provide just about any cares your baby needs! I also have experience with animals of all ages including pregnant/birthing cats! I am currently a nursing student at SDSU! I'm here almost every weekend as well. I have a couple hours of class a day and just clinicals on Wednesdays. I'm super flexible during the weekends as well as most weekdays! I currently have one border collie/austrailian shepard mix but we do have a two story house so they can be separate if needed. We have a fenced in backyard and also lots of parks around our pup loves to play at!

About: I have 9 years of experience. I can help with Pet Walking and Pet Sitting. I have my own animals of all different species. Looking to become a vet. Pretty knowledgeable in most species. I am comfortable with all animals. I’m a sophomore at SDSU majoring in Animal science with a minor in animal health and on the pre-vet path. I am looking at petting sitting basically any type of animal. My classes are in the morning so my afternoon and evening are basically free. I also am in Brookings a lot of weekends. I worked at the sheep unit last year and have pet sat many times. I have my own dogs and other animals. I know how to work e-collars and other collars if your dog is trained to that. I trained my own animals to do basic commands. I know how clean up after animals and clean them. I love to go on walks and play fetch with them.

About: I feel that dogs give us so much joy and comfort that it’s only fair that we do the same for them! I love all sized dogs and breeds! I have been a dog trainer for almost 5 years and just started boarding dogs with the new kennels I set up! Dogs are my passion and life! I want to always make sure dogs and owners feel comfortable when they are staying with me! My main job is pet care. This is my full time job! So I am always available for any needs! There will be few times that I am out of town and will have that time blocked off! I have a fenced yard with 15 kennels, I put dogs into groups based off of size, age, and temperament. If they do not like playing with other dogs they can be by themselves as well! As far as in home visits, I think spending quality time with them is so important!

“Brooke has watched my dog and four cats before and has provided great care. She makes sure feeding times are done at the right time, making sure not to over feed or under feed my animals. She also took my dog Gunner out for walks and kept him quite happy over the few days she watched him. The kitties loved having her as she got them all four playing as well. She communicates well and you can tell she really cares for animals!”

About: I had a big golden doodle when I was little and I loved to snuggle with him. Now I have two 13 year old chihuahuas that I love to carry around and snuggle with. I also have a brother who has a young lab that is very energetic and loves to play. Plus I have dealt with the not so nice dog owning situations (like when they have accidents or roll in something that smells). I now have a roommate who has a dog and is currently being trained. When I lived at home it was a daily thing I dealt with. When I got home from school I would let my dogs out and give them food and water. Almost every hour on the dot I would have to let them out again because they are so small their bladder isn’t very big. I now take care of a dog every single day and help trainer her since she is my roommates dog. I will care for your pets like I would care for them. I will give them some time to warm up to me if they are shy. I will let them out, give them food and water, play with them, and then show them some love whether that is cuddling or simple pets. If they are very energetic and you would like them to go for walks I am more than willing to do that as well.

About: I've grown up with dogs and cats of my own, as well as caring for pets of friends and family. I am reliable for all days and times of the week, providing quality care from lots of pets to daily walks. I am a full time student athlete, but am able to make your pets a priority while you're at work or traveling. I am available mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I will provide the care your pets deserve, while making sure to follow their routine and instructions given. From feeding schedules to daily walks, making sure your fur babies are loved and cared for while you're away.

About: Growing up, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to care for all sorts of animals. Dogs have a special place in my heart as I was raised with the responsibility of helping take care of my family’s Labrador Retriever and Maltese dogs. Exercise, health, nutrition, comfort, and tender love were vital to the way we nurtured our dogs. I have experience with both older dogs and young puppies as well as small and large dogs. I like to prioritize daily exercise with my pets as this can establish trust and it is crucial for their health. I currently work part time as a server and my schedule rotates weekly/biweekly. I can be available on certain weekends and most times of the day. I ensure that my pets have a safe and healthy/clean environment to be in. This is crucial to the health of my pets because their comfort is my priority. I typically bathe them multiple times a week which can very depending on the outside train (mud, puddles, etc). I also ensure that they are fed and rewarded with proper nutrients to maintain overall health and schedule frequent veterinary visits to stay updated on the veterinary needs of the pet. Lastly, trust between the pet and the owner is huge priority of mine so I make sure that I provide physical support such as petting, belly rubbing, and holding if necessary to build trust between the pet and I and make them feel comfortable and safe.
