âPhoebe LOVES going to daycare every week; I think sheâs starting to learn which day itâs on. Sheâs been gaining confidence, learning new skills, and making friends while Iâm at work, and Iâm so grateful I found yâall!â

About: Hi! Iâm Taylor â a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pups of all ages and personalities. I had my own dog for almost 16 wonderful years, and she was truly a beloved part of my life. After she passed, I began fostering because I couldnât imagine life without dogs. Iâve now fostered several dogs, each with their own needs, quirks, and snuggle preferences. Iâm patient, attentive, and love helping dogs feel safe, loved, and comfortable â whether that means giving extra cuddles, creating calm routines, or simply being a reassuring presence. Iâm also a very active person, so if your dog enjoys long walks or even going for runs, Iâm happy to match their energy. High-energy pups are always welcome! My goal is to make your dog feel at home and give you complete peace of mind while youâre away. Iâd love to meet your furry family member and care for them like my own. I work 100% remote so spend the majority of my day at home and would be with your furry friend. I am able to easily bake in walks and playtime during my workday to ensure they get the attention and exercise they need! We have a nice porch and a fenced in yard for your pup to enjoy time outside without worry. We also have a crate here for up to 70 lbs dog and can safely crate your pet to ensure they are comfortable and safe if left alone.
âDeven and Tyreek took amazing care of Birdie! I could tell Birdie had a truly amazing time being boarded and always looked forward to returning to such a loving home! Will definitely book their services again if in the area.â

âEddie had a blast with Cindy!! She sent us so many pictures and updates that made us able to enjoy our time away from him and know he was being well loved. She was very accommodating with pick up and drop off as well. We canât wait to use her again!â

âMatt is amazing !! I moved to Richmond for work for 13 weeks and he has made my life easier taking care of my 1 year old puppy, Paige. His dog, Cooper is super super sweet. And Paige comes home exhausted from all the fun she has had ! Very grateful for Mattâs helpâ

âKourtney is so loving and kind â she made me feel completely at ease with leaving Henry with her! She kept me updated with photos and texts of how he was doing. I never worried because I knew he was taken care of and loved the whole time! Iâm definitely using her again and would highly recommend her!â
âMs. Paula felt just like home. Like I was leaving my baby with my parents. I was so comfortable and at ease during our visit. My child did not miss me at all and I knew she was in good hands. Haribo is an excellent helper lol. He is equally as sweet as Ms. Paula. I will definitely be using her again in the future.â

âAshley took great care of my Facui. She get very nervous in new environments, but Ashley took her in like she was one of her own. Provided numerous photos of playtime. Very flexible and accommodating.â

About: I've had dogs since I was 5 (I'm 36). Cats I never had my own-- although I am getting kittens very soon :) -- but I have pet-sit for 2 cats of a good friends for 9 years whenever he left town. I also had a neighbor with anywhere from 7-15 cats growing up, and many (but not all) of those cats loved me. I am looking to build this into a primary source of income. I have closed weekends per the default availability, but please inquire and I will do my best to make time on weekends as well. I allow them to explore my house supervised in order to feel comfortable and knowledgeable about their surroundings. I have a space in the middle of the house that will be for pet toys / chewing / napping / etc.
About: I have had dogs my entire life. I have experience with raising and house training puppies, teaching basic commands and walking on leash without pulling. I have crate trained all of my dogs but has free range of the house. I believe in good manners with positive reinforcement training, structure and schedules. I love playing ball or with whatever the favorite toy is. I have experience in administering oral medications and working with dogs that have anxiety. I work from home full time so your fur baby would never be unattended. If for some reason I needed to leave I would communicate that with you I have a large fenced in back yard, your pet would never be left unattended while outside. Both gates are locked to prevent anyone from accidentally opening the gates.
âDespite the late request, Ross answered very quickly and was able to arrange a brief meeting the same night for Murdoch and his dog to meet. The day after, we left Murdoch with Ross and Ava and everything went monthly with a few pictures of Murdoch's day. I recommend Ross and Ava !â

About: Iâve been caring for my own dogs and catsâas well as my neighborsâ petsâsince childhood. I have always had one or more rescue dogs and am currently in the process of becoming a certified dog trainer. I am naturally conscientious and detail-oriented, and aim to provide a retreat-like stay for your dogâgiving you peace of mind and returning them to you happy and tired! I have several sizes of pet beds, dog stairs and ramp, a crate, bowls including an automatic water dispenser and slow feeders, toys, bones, treats, games, etc; the only thing you will need to bring is your dogâs food but I am happy to take any other items that may make your dog more comfortable; please let me know if your dog should stick to food/treats you provide. I work from home, which allows me to easily coordinate feedings, walks, playtime, and any necessary medications. I also prefer to spend most of my time at home, so your dog will receive lots of dedicated attention and love! I truly enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual and providing an environment and activities best suited to their particular needs and personality. I have a large yard thatâs securely fenced in both the front and back, giving your dog plenty of safe space to roam and play. When Iâm home, I often leave the back door open so dogs can come and go as they please. I value clear communication and will provide consistent updates. I understand the trust involved in allowing someone else to care for a beloved pet, and I take that responsibility seriously. I will treat both your pet and your home with the utmost care and respect. I am able to board several dogs at a time but meet all dogs beforehand and donât accept more than 1 new guest at a time. If you prefer your dog to be the only guest please let me know and I am happy to accommodate if I have no prior bookings. I am not able to take dogs that are not fully house trained or mark inside the home. I always feed separately as a precaution.
âJulia was very great and helpful especially since I had to find boarding last minute. She worked with my schedule which I greatly appreciate and was responsive. Highly recommend!â

âCarleen is like home away from home for our dog! We love having her available when weâre visiting family in Richmond. She takes great care of our dog and we never have to worry!â

About: Whether you need a daily walk/potty break while youâre at work, an overnight sitter, or boarding, I would be happy to care for and love your pet as my own! I am a professional runner and frequently travel for races, so unfortunately I donât have any pets of my own. Figure your pet will fill my void! I treat your pet (and your space) as if it were my own. If you prefer boarding, I have a large fenced backyard perfect for zoomies, sniffs, and sticks. I live steps away from the river, so adventures along the James are always on schedule! I own a 1600 sqft rancher, so no stair hazards for my older pups.
Brookhaven Farms dog parents share their Rover experiences
Reese's stay was amazing with Nicholas and his pup! Our girl is high energy and came home tired and happy. We got pictures of her having her best day both outside playing and inside napping, which we appreciated on this hot summer day. We will definitely be repeat customers. Thank you!
