“Joanne took my dog on walks for a week and was great with her! She was detailed in reporting what had happened on the walk. She even brought toys to help my pup get even more energy out! Thanks, Joanne!”

“Kalista has been the BEST with our Husky/GSD mix pup!! He’s 75lbs with a big personality, and she handled him so wonderfully! She always sends pictures and updates and it makes me feel so much more comfortable leaving Sam when I head to work! Kalista goes above and beyond for her clients. I wouldn’t have survived my husbands deployment without her and even his transition home/our long work hours! Sam literally goes insane with excitement when Kalista comes and I couldn't be happier with the way she’s cared for him as if he’s her own pup!”

About: Growing up, we always had multiple pets in our home. I think that really shaped me to become the animal lover I am today. I have experience training dogs, mostly obedience, but some tricks as well. I think friends and family would say that I am reliable and caring pet sitter! I work, but I love taking time out of my day to care for pets! It breaks up the day so nicely in my opinion. At my home, there is a fenced yard and my goldendoodle loves playing with friends. At other people's homes, I am very attentive to make sure nothing happens to your furry friend.

“I highly recommend Rian as pet sitter/walker! She responds right away, checks in frequently, is really friendly, and took great care of my pup! I feel very comfortable leaving my dog in her care. I will absolutely be booking her again!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner in the past for many years and enjoy walking dogs, playing fetch or just showing them lots of love! I currently have a dog and 2 cats of my own that my parents watch for me while I’m doing a sitting job. I do have some experience with training and teaching commands if needed. I am not able to have your dog at my apartment but am willing to come to you to help any way I can! I am using this service out to make some extra cash but also to appease my animal loving heart as well! :) Your pet(s) will be in good hands with me! I work “bankers hours” so I am free on nights and some weekends depending on my schedule and previous commitments but generally plenty of free time. I am always concerned for my own pets health and happiness and do any and everything I can do to make sure they’re living their best life. I will mostly be free for nights and weekends. I don’t usually plan much, especially in the winter, so I have plenty of free time! My cats have plenty of toys and 2 towers to climb on. They are always fed and watered and are always good for a cuddle.

“Thank you Heidi for taking care of my boy! She was great, she walked my dog for a week while I was working long hours so he could go potty and stretch his legs. She was very quick to respond to messages and sent pictures of their walks. I will definitely be requesting her again in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life. I really love animals, and understand how important getting out is for their well being. When they’re happy, I’m happy! I am currently a full time student, and am living away from my own dog so I hope to get as much dog sitting time as possible. I love to to go on walks, and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I will make sure your pets get some good exercise and socialization, but will pay careful attention to make sure they don’t get into mischief!

About: Hello! Dog and cat sitter, full-time engineering student at UAF. Long-time experience with farm animals as well- horses, chickens, and other livestock welcome! Available in Fairbanks until (roughly) December 12th. I'm a full time student at UAF, so my schedule is best for pets who can be alone intermittently during the day. I primarily do multiple visits per day; I CANNOT stay the night, as I'm an RA for a UAF dorm. Visits to your pet look like this: early morning visit, late afternoon visit, and one last bathroom break before bed. This can be as flexible as you need. Walking will ALWAYS occur with a leash, and for your dog's safety I never go to dog parks. In general, we'll avoid other people and their pets.

About: Hey there! My name is Delaney and I am the owner of Wild Iris Pet Sitting; a local pet sitting company here in Fairbanks. I have over 10 years of employed pet care experience as a pet sitter, veterinary assistant, and kennel attendant. I graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a Bachelors degree in biology and much of my coursework was animal/wildlife focused. I started my own business offering professional pet sitting in 2021 and it is now my full time job. I provide care for all types of critters from dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, ferrets, rats, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, reptiles, fish, chickens…you name it! My goal is to bring reliable, safe and quality care to pet owners in our community. There is no better way to travel than to travel with peace of mind knowing that your pet is comfortable at home with a trusted care giver. As a professional pet sitter, I take pet care very seriously and continue to educate myself on the most up to date standards of pet care. I am a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI) and have received certification through PSI as a Certified Professional Pet Sitter. I am certified in PetTech pet first aid & CPR training and am privately insured outside of Rover through Pet Sitter Associates. For more information and reviews, please visit my website by searching Wild Iris Pet Sitting on Facebook or Google. I am a full-time pet sitter, meaning that I take care of multiple homes at once but also meaning I have a bit of flexibility to meet your pets needs. I also book outside of Rover through my website so my schedule can get busy. I recommended that new clients request drop-in pet sitting and dog walking services at least a week in advance. Animal welfare is one of my greatest passions. All animals in my care are treated with kindness and respect, as if they were one of my own. Comfort and safety is my top priority!

About: I love dogs and cats and every pet possible. We had a zoo growing up and I have loved training pets and going on runs with them. I have had dogs for years and cats hold a special place in my heart! I’m a student and spend a lot of time at home. I am extremely flexible and willing to work with whatever you need for your pets! My home is super spacious and there is a park right near by. We also live next to the greenbelt and I am running or walking on that weekly!

About: I have taken care of cats, dogs, hedgehogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, snakes and birds for 15 years. I have pet sat for friends and family, including food, water, litter box, play, grooming, etc I am currently a small business owner in the massage business. About: Greetings!! I'm a professional and outgoing pet caregiver with 18+ years of experience. I'm currently taking classes on animal behavior, problems and solutions, and dog emotion & cognition. My goal is to make you feel like you can have it all; a pet who's well cared for and safe at all times AND the freedom to travel and spend time away when you cannot bring your beloved 4-legged companion with you. Please let me know if your dog or cat needs medication, has any allergies, has specific anxieties (such as separation), or if there are any other special considerations that may make our time together be more relaxing for your pup (or kitty.) I love to play with animals and always include play-time and pet-time with my visits, unless otherwise preferred. I will treat your fur-babies as if they were my own! :) I usually do a walk in the morning and at night, and play ball daily with dogs who like to fetch. I go on longer walks in nature a couple times a week with my dog and will take your dog too if they like car rides! I try to play with kitties at least an hour-ish a day and will pet your kitty as much as they'll let me! I try to get in a good brushing for all the animals during my stay if there's a brush available. I'll let your animals sleep in the bed if that's something that they're used to. I love snuggling with animals! My long time partner Tim has been helping me with sits since I started working days again. This makes it so your animals can have help if I am having a long work day. It also makes walks easier if you have more than 2 dogs that need walking at the same time! And provides ample play time in case I have to work on my computer. If I intend to have him help on a sit I will tell you beforehand and make sure you get the opportunity to meet each other!

Delaney V.
“Delaney is an awesome dog sitter and has taken care of my older dogs at my house several times, including dealing with all of the medications, different feeding requirements for each dog, clean-ups, midday checks, and multiple short walks a day. She's come to do midday walks for me when I'm working long days, and also combo house and dog sitting when I'm out of town. My house is always cleaner when I get back too! She sends updates about the dogs while I'm gone, which I really appreciate. I can tell that Delaney loves dogs and my dogs love her!”

Albert N.

“Zoey is great with my dog Chance and she’s my go to sitter any time I leave town...which is a lot! I can count on her to get the mail and my house plants always look happy when I get back. Chance is a high maintainance dog so I can’t leave him with just anybody. I really appreciate the affection and patients she shows him, and now that he knows her he’s always so happy to see her when she comes to sit. She always leaves my house a little bit cleaner than I left it which I adore!”
