My dog Luna had just been diagnosed with kidney disease, and I was overwhelmed. Ami came over to administer subQ fluids, which have been a struggle for me to do on my own because it was so stressful for my dog. Ami taught me things the vet never mentioned, so that the experience was less stressful for Luna, such as warming the bag of fluids, the position to hold my dog in and how to distract her with treats. She even recommended needles that are thinner, and I was amazed my dog didn’t even react when she poked her! She is also working with me on a specialty diet specifically for CKD which is already helping with her nausea and appetite. I am so relieved to have found Ami - she is an invaluable resource, and true animal whisperer. And our kitties approve too, they absolutely love her! Thanks again Ami!!!”

About: I absolutely love fur babies!! I have been pet sitting for friends and family since I was 15. I have volunteered In shelters, and I've been dog walking for 3 years! I've been caring for cats for about 4 years. I have fostered healthy cats, as well as helped nurse cats with FIP back to health! I currently work at a fine dining restaurant as a lead server, and am taking classes for my Sommelier certification, though it's typically only Thursday through Sunday 4pm to 11pm. Which leaves lots of day time hours for me to play and exercise your animals! I will first of course get to know the animal make sure they are comfortable with me, then we will walk in their preferred areas and play fetch/tug if we are able! I love to just sit and pet for the more gentle, more shy dogs, and run around with energetic pups!

About: I have had dogs for the last 15 years and cats for my whole life, and am familiar with a bunch of other fur, finned, scaled, and feathered friends. I am Comfortable with dogs of all sizes and needs, having taken care of medical complex animals, post surgical animals, seniors and babies, along with the run of the mill ones. I’ll take care of your animals like my own. I am currently a stay at home mom with a 4 year old in tow. I can do walks and feeding visits anytime needed. Preferred to be good with the small, but can accommodate otherwise. She loves all creatures. For care in your home, I can visit for feeds and walks, whatever is needed. For care in my home, detailed instructions on your pets routine is helpful. I do have about half an acre fenced in with a 4’ fence for the dogs to run and play. I do have one medium size German shepherd mix in my house who is mild mannered and submissive, and gets along with all animals. He communicates well with other dogs and plays to their level. We have had him in play groups, established packs, one on one with difficult dogs and dogs of all sizes. He is a love who can socialize your fur baby with skill. We do also have one very dog savvy cat, who has her own safe space to get away from the dogs when she’s tired of it. She can frequently be found snuggling the dog though.

About: I am a 23 year old grad student home for a break until August 20th and would love to help out with your pet needs until then! I have the most experience caring for friends and neighbors small and medium dogs. I am happy to stop by for potty breaks, play with your pup, or stay overnight! I am home for a summer break from grad school and have open availability until August 20th! I can stop by multiple times a day for play and potty breaks during the week as well as nights and weekends as needed :) I am a detail oriented and trustworthy sitter that will respect your home and follow requests carefully. I love animals and am happy to help out in any way I can.

About: I follow directions to the t!! I have a habit of overasking questions and making sure I am following all the care instructions. The more details the better. I am currently working full time. Most days I get off around 6. I am usually off on Mondays and Thursdays! Thursdays are when I am the most free! I will follow your instructions as perfectly as I can to ensure a safe and happy service for you and your pet! I am open to sending little photos and videos!

About: I have been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up my family has always had a least 2 pets, even having 15 at one point. My love for animals has run deep in me since I was a child, which is why I am currently a pre veterinary student at the College of William and Mary. I have experience training puppies including potty training, assisting senior pets, and providing a full and fun life for all animals. I have previously worked at multiple equestrian training facilities and farms, so I understand how to handle larger animals. I am versed in problem solving and strive to make all pets feel safe and happy. I am currently home from college for the summer, so I will have plenty of time to care for your wonderful pets. This will be the main job I am working this summer, so there are few scheduling conflicts. I understand every pet and home is different so I try to cater the care to each client, however there are a few things that will always stay the same. First I always ensure I understand the pets feeding and bathroom schedule. This is vital to ensure the happiness and health of all pets. Second I try to make your pet as comfortable with me as possible. Sometimes new people can be scary, so I would allow your pet to make the first move and establish their level of comfort. I find this creates a level of trust and care between me and your pet. Third I follow any specific instructions given by you, the owner. The families always know their pets best, so following their directions helps ensure your pets safety and comfort.

We are excited to open our home to help you leave your pets in a healthy safe environment Mother and son work part time out of home on opposite shifts. Which means one of us always home to care of your pets, all day all night! We have a small fenced and backyard. Two sleepy chihuahuas and a French bulldog who would love to have some playmates! Daily walks, playing and snuggles! I work during days, my son works nights. So there will always be someone there with your dog. 24 hour care, crated only at your request I have a fenced in back yard, and access to a dog a park. We have three dogs, two are sleepy but one will be so energetic to play with other dogs!
