About: I am admittedly that person who goes “Hi! Who are you?!” in a high-pitched voice to every animal I pass. If you followed me on Instagram, you’d realize how obsessed I am with other people’s pets and am usually introducing myself (with permission of course). I’ve been around animals since birth (I was basically raised in a zoo). We had multiple dogs, cats, rats, chickens, snakes, bunnies, and birds. Through college and my mid-twenties I lived with my roommate who had 3 dogs and 3 cats and I would help care for them. For the past four years I have been the designated pet sitter for a friend’s Bernese Mountain puppy, three schnauzers, a senior beagle, and my neighbor’s lab/pit mix, Guinea pig, cat and turtle! I work completely from home and have an extremely flexible schedule. If I don’t have meetings during the day, I’m available to watch or walk your pet during work hours! I am down to just hang out with your pet at home and we binge tv shows together, take them on walks at any park, or go on a drive. I sometimes will go on walks with my friend and her beagle (who is very docile). I can send you photos/videos of your pet throughout the day :) I live in a larger house in a woody neighborhood with a 6 year old Doberman and 13 year old chihuahua. (Pictured at end of photo gallery) They can each be slightly nervous but definitely not aggressive! There is a fenced in back deck and yard. However, I’m comfortable with just popping in to your home or house sitting if you need! I look forward to meeting you and your pet!
“Jennifer was outstanding. Came by for a quick meet & greet before the single day service. Was even available on short notice. Book with confidence that she'll take good care of your fur-baby.”

“Sam does an excellent job. The cats were just as fat and happy upon my return. It was a week long trip and knowing Sam was taking care of the cats was a huge relief. I've already hired her for my next trip.”

“Kelly was able to fit us in — same day request!! She did a great job with our big dog, and I loved the ongoing communication during her visit. 5 stars and would recommend!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Alyson is an attentive and caring sitter going above and beyond. During her stay my cat had an emergency medical issue that Alyson was able to not only take her to the emergency vet for but then made sure she received her medications as prescribed. I was initially worried but I knew Alyson was taking such good care of her and she kept me up to date on how she was doing. Thank you Alyson for going above and beyond and keeping my cat safe and cared for.”

“Amanda was amazing from the first meeting to the end of my vacation. Communication (pics included) was great. She wasn’t afraid to ask questions and share concerns. My boy Lotus is a scaredy-cat and quite shy but he took to Amanda day one. I felt very confident my babies were very well cared for while I was away. Great relief knowing I didn’t have to worry about them and could focus on fun.”

About: Have owned pets my whole life. Also have animal clinic experience with skills such as handling animals safely, providing a calm, stress free experience for them, and able to recognizing signs and behaviors of illness or discomfort. I work Friday-Sunday and can drop in at any time needed. I do not stay overnight, but I can stay during the day. I can administer medications if needed. In case of emergency, I will call you all and can arrange to take them to your provided vet. All pets will be walked on a leash and monitored at all times outside. I can adjust to make your pet as comfortable as possible (for example, your dog/cat is apprehensive about a pet sitter in their home, so their respective space will be given)
“Highly recommend Ken, he has been our ‘go to’ for our bunny Steve while we are away. We have booked several times and will continue to book Ken anytime we travel. Trustworthy, friendly, reliable and a friend to all. Thank you Ken”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my whole life. I’d love to help with any extra needs as long as I’m told about it. I love to clean, take care of special needs animals, and do yoga. I would love to help in any way I can and I’m proud to be an option to take care of your fur baby! I’m currently unemployed so I will have lots of time to help your animals and take care of them! Im available Monday-Friday and also weekends if I’m needed by anyone. I have a fenced backyard and a dog door. I feed my dogs twice a day, morning and night, and they come and go outdoors as they please. I love to cuddle with animals and let them sit on the bed or give them a comfy place to sleep. If the dog needs to be crated, I can also arrange that. If there is any special services, just text my profile and let me know!
“We have three large dogs so it can be quite difficult to find a good dog sitter. She was great everyone got their potty breaks and play time, she was friendly and easy to communicate with. Will definitely be using her again.”

“McKinley is great....a very nice young lady! I got to meet her for this first time and she met my kitty boo. She was very sensitive to both my quirky cat and me! I knew he (Seven) would be in good hands! I am very particular and McKinley is too! She feels like the perfect fit for us! Her experience shows, probably because she has several animals of her own (dogs and cat) and is a vet assistant. I'm looking forward to using her again. If you need someone who will "get it" with your pet, you need to reach out to her! Thank you McKinley!”

“Taylor was awesome! she came over last minute because I unexpectedly had to stay late at work. She followed instructions and communicated very well. It meant a lot that she was able to let them out in such short notice:) would definitely book again”

Jennifer showed up 0n time for every visit and was patient with Gracie as this was the first time anyone took care of Gracie besides us. She even took in packages that were left at the home for us. I without a doubt recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter and you can be fully comfortable with Jennifer.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
