“Michael was very patient with my two old-lady cats, and was able to give one of them the medicated ointment she needed on a healing wound. Would recommend!”

“Emily was amazing with my 2 elder chihuahuas. I was so worried they would not do well because they are very picky with people in general. She spent time with them and made sure they ate. I was on a cruise for a week and she kept me updated everyday with pictures. I know they were comfortable with her because they actually let her love on them & she sent me videos of them playing. I would 100% book Emily again!”

“Alexandra did a great job caring for our cat! She completed all items as requested and sent plenty of photos. We would recommend her services to others in need of pet care :)”

“Ariel was amazing. She took the best care of our cat. We felt at ease while we were away on vacation. She went above and beyond for us and our cat. We received detailed daily updates and pictures. We definitely will work with her again and would recommend her to friends and family, because She’s that good. Thank you Ariel!”

“So attentive and loving with our pets! She sends sweet, detailed updates at every visit along with lots of pictures. We feel safe leaving our pets in her care. Highly recommend!”

“Jordan is amazing! She took such good care of my Penny! This was my first time leaving Penny since I adopted her last year. Jordan made it so easy and sent updates and pics to me every day! Jordan was a perfect match for my Penny. Do not hesitate to book her! Your furry babies will be in great hands. Thank you Jordan!”

“Macy was great! With laylah having a new medication that had to be administered at not idea times, I was worried it would be difficult having a sitter that could make it work. Macy was able to with ease and helped me not be so worried about it. She was nice and professional and laylah warmed up to her as soon as she met her. Would recommend!”

“Gabrielle continues to be our go-to for taking care of our cat! She cares deeply about the animals she takes care of, and is great at communicating. I highly recommend her.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bridgehead. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
