“My dog’s weekend stay went great. My dog has a few issues which Victoria and her family were happy to accommodate. She updated me daily with pictures and some info on how he was doing. I also really appreciated her flexibility and excellent communication!”

“Our dog had a little ‘vacation’ of her own at Sarah’s while we went on vacation. . .Sarah gave frequent photos and spoiled her to death, she’s the best!! Can’t wait to use her again!”

“Breanna was an amazing dog sitter who went above and beyond for our girls and I couldn't be happier! She sent me frequent updates and pictures which really made my time away from them easier. She kept me in the loop on everything that was going on including that the girls were not feeling to well. She went to far as to pick up medication for my dogs and bathe them to keep them clean and feeling better. I'm just so thankful for all the love she and her family showed them and would love for them to take the girls back the next time we need a sitter! ❤”

“my dog was well taken care of at Yvette’s house and came back happy and sleepy! She was there for me last minute when our air-conditioning went out for my dog to stay somewhere nice and cool on a hot day. Very communicative and sent great pictures for updates!”

“Stacy is so awesome! Our fur baby Gambit is always well cared for. Stacy is also very responsive and sends updates throughout the stay. She’s our first choice whenever we need a sitter. Would highly recommend!”

“Great communication and even better care. Mia loves coming to Ms Sheila’s house so much I have to take the leash off before entering or else I’ll be injured with all the excitement from Mia!!”

About: I have watched dogs both young and old. They are truly beautiful animals, and I love being around them. I know how to communicate with them and make them feel comfortable and loved:) Pet care fits very well into my daily routine. I work approximately 10 hours a week, so I have plenty of time to care for animals and love on them. My life is pretty simple and uncluttered so being able to care for your animal would be a perfect fit for both me and your pet. I live in the country on 2.5 acres. My 2,300 square foot house is open concept and there is plenty of room for pets to roam. There are many large windows to look out and watch the wildlife. I love to take walks and there is next to no traffic in my area. My spare room has a large tree house for cats to enjoy.
“This was my pet’s first overnight stay with Jacklyn, and her first extended overnight with any non-family member. My pet was so well taken care of, and I got regular pup-dates on how she was doing! Jacklyn is polite, professional, courteous, and was so sweet with my pet. We look forward to using her services again another time!”

“This was our first time using Rover, and Melissa was fantastic! We left our little Rooney with her for a week and he was in such great hands. She checked in with a few photos and videos for the week, and filled us in with updates on how he was doing. She has a wonderful set up for pups with a big fenced in yard. We will definitely be using her services again! Highly recommend :)”

“Dayana did an amazing job with our two dogs while we were away for four days. She sent daily updates with videos. Our dogs had a lot of fun playing with her dog too!”

“Heather was great. She and her family loved and took great care of Carver and Cedric! I appreciated the updates and how happy the guys were when we brought them home. Our pug (Cedric) drinks a lot of water and it was obvious they kept him well hydrated, which we really appreciated!!”

“Maelynn did a great job watching our dog! Our pup and hers became fast friends, and Maelynn gave us periodic updates that eased any of my worries about our pup staying somewhere new.”

“Seth and Rachel were great! This was the first time booking with them and they went out of their way to make sure Archie was comfortable. They provided updates and photos the whole time and had great communication. Would definitely book with them again!”

“Graham had a great time at Claudia’s house! She sent us pictures and kept a log of all of his activities for us to see when we picked him up. Graham was certainly well taken care of while we were gone. Thank you Claudia!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Briarwood
Romeo and Dante had a wonderful stay. The caregivers were patient, attentive, and truly cared about their well-being. I especially appreciated the frequent updates, quick responses, and clear communication throughout their stay, which gave me great peace of mind. The property is beautiful, with a large fenced yard that provided a safe space for them to play and explore. It was clear they were treated like family and received plenty of attention and care. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable place for their pets.
Kelli and her husband are the most caring and affectionate pet sitters, so much so that Rusty didn’t want to get in the car to come home with us. He absolutely enjoyed his stay with them. If you’re looking for someone to care for your fur babies like you do, they are the ones!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Briarwood home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Briarwood.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Briarwood sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
