About: Hi all! My name is Veronica. I'm an Amherst College alumna ('17) and current 4th year med student (Dartmouth, Geisel School of Medicine '26). I spent my childhood in rural NY, TN, and VA with my grandparents and our dogs, cats, and parrot. In my household, animals were viewed as family, and were always treated as such. I've been taking care of/loving cats & dogs of all sizes (we have owned a daschund named Mr. Wiggles, an Irish Wolfhound named Hobbs, a collie named Blue, to name a few) and ages (puppies to salt&pepper seniors) since I was 5. My partner and I are also proud cat parents to two bonded, adopted cats (Gaston & Basil). I have cared for several friends', neighbors', and strangers turned clients' cats and dogs while they were away/traveling! I hope to bring the same love, respect, and care to your pet that I show my own when you are not there. No pet is too small, too big, too silly, or too drooly for me! I will be based in New Haven, CT working on my residency application, research, and other personal projects with much free time in the upcoming year (2025-26). I am happy to house-sit your pet in your own home, be a dog-walker, or drop-in to feed/walk/play with your pet. For dog-walking & drop-in services, I would prefer if clients are within a 10-15 minute drive from New Haven, CT, though I will consider each request individually. Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate dogs or cats in my own apartment.

“Mikayla and Justin are simply great. They took great care of my dog Thelma, who can be very skiddish as she is a rescue. Mikayla and Justin spent ample time letting Thelma warm up to them before taking her out for a walk. I would 10/10 recommend them for any pet care and I will definitely be booking them again for Thelma!”

About: I’m excited to meet your fur babies and provide you with peace of mind that they’re getting high quality, attentive care while you’re away. I always grew up with cats and dogs and have been the go-to pet sitter for friends, family, and coworkers. When I started graduate school in 2012, I adopted my first kitten (who is easily the love of my life). She is now a sassy 13yo senior and her sister- another rescue cat adopted as a kitten- was diagnosed with lymphoma over a year ago. Navigating my own cats’ medication regimens motivated me to sign up as a Rover sitter. I want to take the stress out of leaving pets at home, especially when they need to be given meds. By day I am a researcher with a PhD in Immunology. I am in the lab a lot but my schedule is very flexible. I am able to drop-in M-F before and after work, but if needed I’m also able to drop-in during the day. On weekends I’m generally available at any time. Looking forward to making sure your pets have everything they need to be as happy, comfortable, and safe as possible while their humans are away. I am very confident administering medications of all sorts (topical, injectable, oral- liquid or pill) and tailor my technique to your pet’s disposition to minimize (or eliminate if possible) any stress.

“Jeanne was wonderful with our cat Ben! She sent photos each day and made our time away less stressful. Ben loved her!”

About: I have had cats my whole life and a family dog. I am an approved dog foster and enjoy getting to know pets and making them feel loved :) I am a remote learning student! Which gives me plenty of time to go out and spend time with pets. Not usually available on the weekends. I have 3 sweet cats which can be separated from pets if needed. My priority will always be to keep your pet safe and comfortable!

“Heather is so reliable and nice! Send me pictures and how my lovely cat is doing. And even become friends with him in a few days! Wow he always get scared with strangers. Never thought he would get comfortable in just a few days! Will definitely come back to seek another drop in in the future.”

“We are so grateful for Amber’s services! She took great care of our kitties while we were away which gave us such peace of mind. Will absolutely rebook!”

About: I have about 10 years of experiences taking care of cats, dogs, and small animals. I have experience bonding/introducing new pets in the home, having taken a boot camp a few years ago and doing it multiple times with rabbits, cats (one success, one not), and a dog/cat combo. I've also leash trained my own dog, parents dog and a friends dog. I can also work on basic commands. Im comfortable brushing teeth, bathing and administering non-needle medicines. The prices on the flyer are for payments off Rover (venmo/zelle/cash app), as Rover takes 20% the prices on here are higher, whichever you're most comfortable with is fine with me! Pet care is currently my only job. Even when I have a part-time job, my schedule is very flexible and open to various appointments each day. I do not let animals off leash when outside unless in a fenced in yard/park. At my own home, I live next to a park and take walks at least 3x a day with your pup.

“Have asked Daniela to come visit and let our dogs out a couple times. She does a great job. She communicates well! And makes sure the dogs have everything they need. They seem to love her! She is very good with them. We are happy to have her care for our dogs when we are not there”

“We came home to a happy dog! Nothing better than that! Megan was excellent and we felt our dog was in safe and caring hands. Megan kept us well updated with tons of cute photos! I feel so happy knowing Megan took absolutely the best care of our girl!”

“Stephanie is great. My kitties are very antisocial but Stephanie always finds them so she can send me pictures so I know they are ok. She goes above and beyond keeping the kitty areas clean. She is very reliable. I highly recommend her.”

“Aimee has come and some drop in visits snd walks a few times now with our 12 week old puppy and she's been wonderful! Professional, on time, knowledgeable. Denahi loves her with Aimee and will definitely keep booking in the future. I feel comfortable and confident with my puppy in her hands!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was about 8, varying from puppies to senior dogs. I’m known to be very loving and patient with animals and having great connections with pets! I walk, feed, bathe and with my dog now being a senior dog i’m very comfortable with administering medicine as well! I have a pretty free schedule for the summer so there is plenty of time for me to spend with your pup! I babysit my 2 year old brother some days and work nights in a pizza shop over the weekend. When first meeting the dog/ animal I make sure to dedicate time to allow them to get comfortable with me and the fact that i’m in their home. I like ensuring a mutual feeling of safety and trust between the dog and I so we can have a fun and stress free time together!

About: I have had many dogs of my own my entire life (26 years). That in itself has given me a lot of experience. However, I also have dog walked, dog sat, and have taken dogs to the dog park for friends/family. I have taken care of dogs/puppies overnight and during the weekends. I love all dogs and want them to feel safe and comfortable! I am a school social worker. Therefore, I have summers off and many vacations/days off. Right now I am able to help out from 5pm on, all day Saturdays, and Sundays (other than 10am-1pm for Church most Sundays). I am very easy to work with and have a lot of free time, especially during the summers. I also can definitely help out during the week while I am working as long as your dog is okay being alone while I am at work! I care for all pets like they are my own. I make sure they feel loved, safe, and comfortable while their families are away. Dogs can sense when their loved ones are gone, so I make sure they get as much love as possible until their loved ones come back. This means plenty of walks, cuddles, quality time, yummy treats, and any special services they may need!

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was 10, starting with walking and looking after my own dogs. Over the years, I began helping neighbors with their dogs and other pets—walking them, feeding them, and providing loving company while their owners were away. Whether it’s a quick walk or overnight sitting, I treat every pet like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. With years of hands-on experience, I understand the importance of trust, routine, and lots of playtime! I’m available after 4 PM on weekdays (Monday–Friday) and fully available all day on weekends. Whether it’s an evening walk during the week or daytime care on the weekend, I’m here to help and happy to work around your schedule! Your pet will be safe and loved in my home. I have a friendly Irish Setter and a calm cat who are both used to being around other animals. I always supervise and make sure every pet feels comfortable, whether they’re playful or prefer quiet time.

About: I have grown up around dogs all my life! My neighbors, family friends and relatives have all relied on me to take care of their dogs when needed and I truly enjoy playing and spending time with animals. I am a very active person in my daily life so I love going on walks with my dog and I am more than happy to do so with yours! I am a recent college graduate and am working various self employed jobs, therefore I am available to work around your schedule! I’ll be working some weeks from 9am-12:30pm but after that I will be at home to care for your pets! I am a very active person and go on walks on a regular basis so taking your dog on a walk rain or shine would fit in perfectly with my schedule. I have a sweet loving doggie of my own who loves company when she can get it! We have an unfenced but very private backyard with long leashes for doggies to run around how they choose! I understand the importance of schedule for dogs so I am more than happy to adjust to the routine of your pets and what they are used to as well :)

Alexis N.
“We met and hired Alexis recently before she joined Rover. She impressed us right away at our meet and greet with how quickly she bonded with our pups and also helped with them while we were chatting ( letting them out and playing with them). She came the other day to walk our 110lb Husky lab as he is in desperate need of exercise but he wouldn’t go way from the house because his brother was left behind . Alexis end up taking both of them for the walk . She did a great job and we have booked for two trips for June . I am a fur mom and pet sitter and I have expectations as both. My boyfriend worries about the babies sometimes more than I do . We both feel Alexis will fit right in with our Sitter choices and I can tell the pups like her ! They interviewed and hired her after the first Pet !”

In addition, he also knows how to give cats that are in kidney failure fluids. This was helpful because I felt like I couldn't go away when my cat needed to get fluids every other day.
