“Gillian was great with my dog and cat! Sent pictures and updates multiple times a day. 10/10 would recommend to take care of your pets!”

About: I was responsible for caring for my childhood senior dog. She was a small chihuahua mix that I was responsible for walking, feeding and giving oral medications. I also cared for a family friend’s two German Shorthaired Pointer’s for a week. My responsibilities included feeding, walking, crating and administering oral medications! I currently work full-time but have a flexible schedule that allows me to check-in on pets during the morning and evening. However, I can provide longer check-ins during the weekend and have no standing/recurring commitments during the weekend. As someone who has owned pets before, I am well aware of the safety precautions needed. I make sure that my home is pet-proof by making sure my plants are out of reach and any dangerous chemicals. I also have experience with crating dogs.

“We love Aelish! She’s the first person outside of friends/family to stay with our dogs overnight and made us feel so much better with her multiple updates and photos. She even gained some trust from our shy/anxious dog, which isn’t easy. We hope to be rebooking her in the future!”

“Justine did a great job with our sometimes anxious dog. She stayed at the house and took care of everything for us. Her help is so appreciated.”

“Chris was outstanding with our Peppermint.”

“Laylani watched our pups on short notice over a holiday weekend. She was a great companion for our dogs while we were away and they were happy to have her!😊”

“Laura is always so good with our pups - they might have more fun when she stays with them versus when we're home! The pups get multiple walks a day and Laura sends frequent updates with pictures so we know the pups are doing well. Highly recommend for any of your pet needs!”

“Marquesa was great with our 2 dogs. She kept us updated with texts and pictures during our weekend away. She is also very sweet. We definitely will use her again.”

About: I have taken care of dogs within my household for 15 years now, with the additional walking & house sitting for neighbors! I recently started pet walking & sitting in Blacksburg this year and have had such a blast! As an incoming vet student this fall, I will bring an expertise and view that will be beneficial for the pet in their environment and for the owners. I am so motivated to support owners with their schedules by sitting or walking! I’m currently working part-time throughout the summer, and have time within the day to complete walks for your pets! I am also available to pet sit in-home for you if needed; preferably not Monday-Wednesday, but I am flexible! I always start off my sessions with building a connection with the pet prior. If possible, I like to meet prior to needing my services to socialize myself with the pet, so that trust can be gained. Once this is done, I love to play with the pets and cuddle them so that they feel secure! I love taking photos of the pets during walks to send to the owners, as this reassures them!

About: I have experience caring for both elderly and young dogs. This has equipped me with a variety of skills such as age-appropriate exercise, nutritional needs, and understanding certain behaviors and how to react. I just recently graduated high-school and need something to fill my time. Playing with your pups seems to be the best thing to fill my day! I’m free majority of the week and only work part-time as a waitress. I have a cat and dog at my house but both a friendly to other animals. If needed the animals can be put in a separate room away from clients pet.

“Megan is awesome! I would not hesitate to use her again to watch our dog Bailey. We received multiple pictures every day. She even let Bailey sleep with her, and we know she is a total bed hog! Everything at the house was perfectly in order.... like no one had been there! Hire her! She's terrific! Thanks, Megan!”

I have two cats who are indoor only and they get aling great with dogs.😄 I currently work in the healthcare field and have some flexibility with my schedule. There is always someone on premises when I am not there. I have a fenced yard that my two dogs enjoy. There are toys everywhere both inside and outside. “She was amazing and took great care of both of our dogs. We will definitely be continuing to have her watch our dogs in the future! Thank you again!”

About: I am currently a student at Virginia Tech. I have been pet sitting and taking care of dogs for ten years and have loved each and every animal I have cared for as if they were my own. I have owned dogs and cats my whole life and have trained them myself as I got older. I have experience with puppies under the age of one and will play with them until they can’t play anymore. When I care for your pets, I promise to give them as much love and affection as they get when you are there (possibly even more). Your animals are my top priority when I am caring for them, and I will love them as much as you do until you can get back to them. I am able to care for your pets any time. I will be starting school in the fall, but that will not impact the way I love and care for your pets due to the way my class schedule is structured. I have a very friendly lab that loves to play with other dogs. I ensure that when I am in someone else’s home, I am supervising the dogs while I also make sure they are getting the exercise and enrichment required for their breed and temperament. Every dog needs different treatment, and I will adjust the way I care for them based on their own needs.

“Brandon is on his way to vet school, and after seeing how naturally he connects with animals, it’s easy to see why. He has an incredible ability to make pets feel safe and comfortable—both of our dogs took to him almost immediately, which is no small feat! He’s calm, patient, and clearly passionate about animals. Beyond that, he’s everything you’d want in someone caring for your pets: trustworthy, respectful, a great communicator, and extremely responsible. We always felt completely at ease knowing our dogs were in his care. Brandon is the kind of person you can count on, and any pet would be lucky to have him around. Highly recommended!”
