Monica was pleasant and interested to know all the little things about my doggies. She was timely, played with my dogs and took them for a walk. I will be having her back!

Thank you, Mackenzie. You were patient with our dog Baker understanding that he is sometimes fearful of others and you kept me informed. Would highly recommend Mackenzie.

About: I'm the guy everyone asks to pet sit because I never say no! I'm reliable, attentive, and patient and never met an animal I didn't like. I'm a freelance artist which gives me loads of flexibility when it comes to scheduling. Short notice is fine. Life throws curve balls sometimes, and I'm here to help. I abide by the golden rule, and treat all animals as if they were my own family. I pay attention to details and follow all specific instructions for our special friends!

About: I’ve had a passion for caring for animals since I was a child. I have 25+ years experience ranging from dog walking to in-home boarding. I have two dogs of my own. I am also well-experienced with senior dogs and bring a very calm demeanor. I am currently taking a break from corporate life and have flexible availability! I am typically available any time M-F, though occasionally I travel on weekends. I have a fully fenced in yard with two dogs at home. My dogs are social and love meeting new friends! I know that it can be unsettling for a dog to stay in someone else’s home, but we’re pros at welcoming others into our pack!

About: My husband and I have loved getting to dog sit for friends and family. When we heard about rover we got so excited! My husband and I are both runners and are happy to take the dogs we watch on runs/ walks and hikes. We also have enjoyed our new home which came with a fenced in yard. Giving the dogs freedom to run and play is so fun to watch! Every dog we watch feels right at home and we love to cuddle with each and every one. I am currently a stay at home mom for my 5, 4 and 2 year old and think your pup will fit in just right with our fun crew. Feel free to reach out with any questions! I am currently working part time, and I have plenty of time to work your pup into our daily routine. We have three kiddos at home so a routine is something our family thrives on. We have a beautiful fenced in backyard with lots of room to run and play. We also have a crate that can be utilized if need be. There is an extra room we use for dogs to be able to take a break if need be.

About: I am and have been vegan since I was a child. I’ve always had a deep love for and towards animals ever since I can remember. I like to be in animals energy and presence. Even when giving “care” it’s enjoyable and pleasing for me to offer that for your pets. I bring a calm and peaceful vibe to any situation. I want to be a safe and comfortable space for your animals. ~ If you book the house sitting option, I am only available to sit throughout the day. No sleepovers. I currently am a part time student studying vet tech with a fine arts minor! I have a great amount of free time and flexible schedule to accommodate “different” jobs and care. I live in an apartment with 3 cats. I don’t have any closed off areas at the moment and my cats free roam around the house.

Marie is fantastic! She promptly arrived on time. My dog loves her. She fed my fish, too. The interaction between them was all positive. Many posting of Truman were made, even videos. This gave me comfort and joy to see my boy happy while I'm away.

About: I’ve been a dog lover since about the age of 10 when we got my family dog, Shadow, a cockapoo. As a kid and while growing up, I even trained Shadow to compete in agility competitions and took him to training weekly while also practicing with him in the backyard! When I moved out, I got my own fur baby- a golden doodle named Bubity! Obsessed doesn’t even begin to describe how much I love my dog as I have a water bottle, pair of slippers, shorts and sweatshirt with him on it! I promise to treat your dog as if they’re are my own! I’m currently working part time as a nurse while also attending classes virtually for my masters. My schedule changes weekly but I usually know it about a month in advance! I am pretty flexible on my days off and and willing to work with you in order to help take care of your fur baby! I have a fully fenced in yard and my 1 golden doodle at home. I am more than happy to host your dog for play dates in our yard. I know how hard it is to get a routine set with your dog whether it be something as simple as turning the TV on before leaving the house, walking a specific route to get them to go potty or giving them a special treat when they’re going to be left alone. Whatever your routine is, let me know and I will follow it to its entirety!

I’ve cared for cats and dogs of all personalities and understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. My schedule is flexible, and I’m available for drop-ins, house sitting, and pet care throughout the week. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, cuddly, or independent, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! 🐾 It fits in perfectly! I am currently doing mostly freelance work right now so this type of flexible schedule is just the right fit for me! I will provide extra toys, lots of love and snuggles, and I am open to discussing providing more if that is of interest to you!

About: I have been a lover of animals for as long as I can remember. From horses, to kitties, to dogs and rabbits, I’ve watched and cared for them all. I love meeting new critters! I have a very flexible schedule working retail and picking up substitute teaching so I can work with you to make sure your pets get the car they need when they need it! I have a sweet baby boy cat who has not had problems with other animals, but can play or leave alone if needed. We have a large house with plenty of room. A nice backyard as well to run and play! About: I’ve had a variety of pets my whole life; dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, lizards, turtles, rats, ferrets, and fish! I’m very comfortable being around animals. I am currently a nurse but enjoy being around these furry creatures so much that I wanted to do this on the side! I promise you your pet is in good hands with me. This will be more a reward for me than a job ❤️ Weekdays after 3 I’m typically always available. Other times throughout the day and weekends will vary, so please just ask! I will do what I can :) I can work with you and your pets needs. Whether they use an automatic feeder or need manually fed, I can provide what is needed.

About: Hi! I’m Erin, an Ohio State graduate with over 10 years of pet sitting experience, specializing in dog/cat care. I offer both drop-in visits and overnight stays, with a big focus on making sure your pet stays in their normal routine. I’m confident handling different sizes, temperaments, and leash behaviors, and always prioritize safety and consistency. What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I bring. I’m very detail-oriented and tuned in to behavior, so I pick up quickly on what makes each dog comfortable. I keep communication clear and consistent with updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I also keep things clean, calm, and organized in your home during visits or overnight stays. I’ve been an animal lover my whole life and have two cats of my own, so I truly understand the trust that goes into leaving your pet with someone. With years of building my long term clientele, I can assure you your pets will be treated like my own everytime! My goal is to make your dog or cat feel secure, cared for, and as close to their normal routine as possible while you’re away. If you’re looking for someone reliable who goes beyond the basics, I’d love to connect and meet your pets:) I have dedicated my days and weekends to providing loving care for animals! I’m fortunate to have a flexible schedule that allows me to make pet sitting a priority in my day to day life. Most of my experience has been pet sitting in the owners home or drop ins! I provide overnight services as well. Since I have 2 cats of my own, I would allow dogs to stay at my home if they have experience being around cats. I am dedicated to making each animal feel as comfortable as possible and making sure they feel loved while you are away.

Chris was AMAZING with our dog. We were very hesitant to use someone off of Rover and she made us feel very comfortable from the start. She took lots of time to walk and play with our dog, ensuring he had clean paws, treats, and fresh water afterwards! She is great at communicating and giving updates as well. I will absolutely be using her consistently. I’m so grateful we found her!

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Botzum. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

  • 96% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
