About: I have hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, ducks, geese, chickens, and roosters. I currently care for backyard animals for a regular client, so I’m very familiar with feeding routines, cleaning, and making sure everything stays safe and secure. Pet sitting is my full-time job, allowing me to be fully available and attentive for every booking. My partner Brayden is also on my profile and comes with me to bookings. He has over 10 years of experience working with horses and farm animals, including owning his own horse. Together, we’re confident handling multiple animals and assisting with farm routines and basic horse care such as feeding and turnout. We always follow instructions closely to keep your animals safe, happy, and on their normal routine. I provide full-time, professional pet and farm animal care with a flexible schedule throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnight stays. Because this is my primary job, I am able to give each booking my full attention and maintain consistent, high-quality care. I have experience with dogs, cats, and a variety of farm animals including chickens, ducks, geese, roosters, and horses, and I tailor my care to each animal’s routine and comfort level. I provide attentive, reliable care with a strong focus on safety, consistency, and trust. I carefully follow all instructions for each pet’s routine, including feeding, handling, and any special needs. I maintain a calm, clean, and respectful environment in every home I care for. I also believe in clear communication and provide regular updates so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away!
“Tricie provided wonderful care for Cooper and Archie! She was very professional, communicative and detailed. Tricie provided daily photos of both Cooper and Archie. Based on those photos there is no doubt A & C enjoyed their playtime with Tricie too! Tricie brought in the took out the trash and brought in the mail, pkgs., etc. She kept the litter box cleaned daily and refreshed it on her last day of care. Tricie was an excellent communicator regarding the status of A & C! She gave us peace of mind that our fur babies were in good hands. We will definitely call upon Tricie again!”

“Preston is awesome. I’m so lucky I found Preston to take care of our three dogs and four cats. My German Shepherd requires special attention with IBD medication and prescription foods. I don’t have to worry with Preston handling everything! I highly recommend Preston and trust him 100%.”

“Christy was fantastic! From the multiple pictures, to a play by play of exactly how the kitties were doing, we were very impressed. It's obvious that Christy loves animals and takes her job seriously.”

About: I’ve always been that person who immediately notices the dog before the humans (respectfully 😂). I genuinely love animals and take caring for them seriously. Whether your pet is full of zoomies, prefers a slow stroll, or just wants someone to sit nearby while they judge me from across the room (looking at you, cats), I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’m reliable, patient, detail-oriented, and I’ll stick to your pet’s routine because I know consistency matters. Expect lots of updates, cute pictures, and the occasional message telling you your dog made a new best friend (me). I’m currently a PhD student, so my schedule has flexibility throughout the week. Pet care is honestly one of my favorite ways to step away from my computer, get outside, and spend time with some furry company. I’ll always communicate clearly, arrive when I say I will, and make sure your pet gets the attention they deserve. If your pet is in my care, they’re my priority. I’ll carefully follow your instructions, keep a close eye on their behavior, and make sure they stay safe and comfortable. I know leaving your pet with someone else can feel nerve-racking, so I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can actually enjoy your time away instead of wondering how your fur baby is doing.
About: I've got multiple years of experience handling a highly anxious dog that can be dog selective during high stress situations. I was the one primarily training my family's two dogs, as well as the one taking them out on as many walks as I was able. I have multiple years worth of experience with senior dogs that had arthritis and who needed to have their food prepped especially for easier eating. I'm currently a student at the University of Georgia and currently looking into part time summer positions, however my schedule is very flexible with daily check-ins and overnight stays during both the week and weekend are very doable. During check-ins, outside of ensuring food and water are available, I would make sure to spend time playing and hanging out with any dog and if I have time to take them on a walk I will. For overnights, I would do the same thing with the only difference being the amount of time I'd be able to spend with the dog.
About: I have been working at a vet clinic since I was fifteen. I’ve moved through multiple departments, currently i’m working in the groom shop. I love making pets feel pretty! Throughout my years there I have gained plenty of experience with animals of all sizes, temperaments, and ages. As a plus I am confident in administering oral medication for any senior pets. I understand that pets are apart of the family and would be overjoyed to meet yours 💗 I work mon-fri from 7:30am-4:30pm. I am completely free to care for your babies any time outside of that. I am also open to making accommodations for pets that need walking/checking up on during my lunch break at work, as long as the location is close. I hope to soon go part time at my primary job. Which would give me more time for your babies! If you have any questions feel free to DM me! I prefer to care for your pets in your home. My biggest priority is your pets comfort. I find that they are most relaxed and feel the safest when they are in their own home. That being said I do not offer boarding, but I am very open to working in accommodations if needed.
“kathryn was so great with mitsi! she left me a detailed review of their time together (two walks in one day) and mitsi looked super happy in the photos. i’ll definitely be reaching out to kathryn in the future for times i need care for mitsi!”

About: I have my own dachshund that I take care of on a daily basis but also have 3 other family dogs tha range from a dachshund to a german shepherd. I’ve always helped taken care of the family dogs growing up. I work 3 times a week and have school but my schedule is very flexible and I can adjust it around based on what I have going on. Any pet in my home that’s not mine would be treated like my own pets. They would be taken care of all the time. The same would apply in someone else’s home. I would follow a schedule feeding and letting the pets out just like I do with my own.

“Mateo was so wonderful with our dogs! He handled all 4 like a pro, even the little one that is blind and requires insulin injections after each meal. We will definitely be calling him back for all our petsitting needs!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have not only taken care of my own cockapoo, but also my friends and neighbors dogs and cats. I have tons of experience dealing with all sorts of dog breeds ranging from pitbulls to chihuahuas. I’m happy to help with any of your pet needs, whether they need a day of exercise or are just relaxing at home. I am a student at the University of Georgia, so my schedule is somewhat flexible. I’m typically more available in the afternoons, usually after 3:00, but my schedule can be moved around if needed. I’m also usually available early in the mornings, if your pets need to be fed or walked before 9:00am. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I am available from 9am-12pm and then again after 3pm. On Wednesday and Fridays, I am available before 9am and then again after 3pm. My weekends are very flexible for walks or check ins. I have tons of dog toys and treats that I would be happy to bring for your dogs before/after walks or when I come check in on them. I also have extra leashes and trash bags that I’ll have handy if needed.
“Amanda is phenomenal. From communication to care, she is exceptional. She took extra time to meet our furry family before we left and assure that any special needs were met. She went above to provide both love and play. We are truly grateful for her care!”

About: For several years I took care of my friends dog Koda while living with my friend. My friend was busy in graduate school and working part time, so she asked me take care of Koda in the mornings and evenings when she could not make it home in time. That included walking Koda and feeding Koda. Those responsibilities grew to taking Koda to the vet when necessary. I learned a lot about dogs, and I am able to handle taking care of dogs. Safety is the most important thing when taking care of a dog. My schedule is flexible. I would prefer at least 2 days notice for scheduling purposes. I am available throughout the day seven days a week. I would ask the client what is important when taking care of a pet in their home. Does the pet have any allergies? Do they have any health problems I should be aware of?
About: I have over 7 years of experience working in the veterinary field and bring a knowledgeable, compassionate approach to every pet in my care. I am especially experienced with senior pets and those requiring extra support, including insulin injections, oral and topical medications, and eye medications. I am also comfortable assisting pets with mobility challenges and making sure they are safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout their visit. Younger pets can enjoy plenty of attention, exercise, and high-energy playtime to keep them happy and entertained. I understand that every pet has different needs, personalities, and routines, and I strive to provide care that is tailored to each individual pet. Most importantly, I treat every animal as if they were my own and want both pets and their families to feel comfortable and confident in my care. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs of my own, so I’m very comfortable balancing feeding, exercise, medications, cleaning, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I also work daily at an animal hospital, where I care for animals with a wide range of needs. My experience has made pet care feel like second nature, and I’m used to providing reliable, attentive care both at work and at home. I can cater to all sorts of animals and there individual personalities. If you have a high energy pup I love to run with them or throw a ball around for as long as they need. If there’s a coach potato in need of belly rubs and ear scratches I’ll gladly sit there for hours.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
