“Miranda is wonderful! She was very responsive to my messages, sent tons of adorable pictures of my cats, and went above and beyond my expectations by bringing cute toys for the kitties to play with and vacuuming the area around the litter box. I highly recommend booking her to care for your pets.”

About: I am a dog mom of 2, my dogs names are: Beauty, and Skyla. I live on almost an acre, so your pup has plenty of room to play. I have two children who love to spoil and play with dogs so they will get plenty of attention, exercise and love. I am flexible with sitting, boarding and anything else you may need, my son is 16 and helps me with any dog that I care for. I live in a nice quiet neighborhood, so I can walk your dog on their leash as well. I treat my pups like they are my kids, they are spoiled, but they are great with other dogs. I will provide pictures/videos daily so you can see your family member and feel at easy while you are away. I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby. As I do work three jobs. My kids help take care of our own family pets as well as other people's. I ensure any pup I sit has their own water bowl and food bowl. Like I would my own pups. If you notice I don't say dog or animal. My two pups, I call my girls or my pups. They are my kids too and any dog I board, I treat like I would want someone to treat my girls.

“Sabine is very dependable and my dogs loved her. My dogs can be barky and jumpy and she handled them with ease and understanding. On a visit to let out my dogs, it was raining and Sabine went out (with no overhead coverage) and coaxed my dogs to go out. I was very grateful she went through that effort since I wasn’t able to return for hours later and felt great knowing if they had to go they would. After she left, I think they waited by the front door hoping she’d come back. Greatly appreciate her!”

Our dog immediately liked her and I could tell he didn't miss us when we were gone! She was very thoughtful with our 2 cats too even though we only booked her for the dog, and very respectful of our home as well. About: Hey there! I’ve had animals and pets all throughout my childhood. I have always been passionate about animals. Our fur baby’s really are a huge part of our family. We are an active family so being outside a lot is important and we love to share that with animals. We go on walks and hikes a lot we even bring them on lake day adventures and my favorite… camping trips! I can clip nails, give baths, brush coats throughou and I have experience with giving injections and medications. I love to play with pups fetch with a ball or tug of war with their favorite rope toy! I am very observant, organized, adaptive and willing to to learn anything about your furry friends! I’m currently a stay at home mom. I am the sole caretaker for your furry family members! My son is 2 years old and will be accompanying me with drop ins and dog walking, he will be under my supervision at all time while providing animal care. I take full responsibility for my son while we care for your furry friends. He is comfortable around animals, we’ve had dogs and cats in our family since he was born! We live a very active lifestyle where we are always on the go. We go for walks and hikes a lot. We also enjoy swimming, and we always bring our fur baby along for the adventure. Pet care would fit perfectly with our schedule and lifestyle, with the love of being outdoors it’s so nice to share that time with our 4 legged friends! I do not have a fenced yard at my house, I always stay with my puppy weather on leads or ecollar. We have an electric fence but I ensure nothing can come into our yard(other animals, people etc). If we do not use the electric fence we use a long lead. At a clients home if they have a fenced yard I would still never leave an animal unattended, that’s just me personally. I would love to spend time with your pets outside, maybe we can play a little or if your fur babies just wanna soak up some sun and relax, I’m here for it all! If the client does not have a fenced yard I would use a long lead or regular leash and never leave the pup pup unattended. For safety both in my own home or clients I utilize a crate if necessary, and positive reinforcement for good behavior! I also have experience with muzzles and other tools(collars, leads, head leads, etc) Its not only about protecting me and others but to ensure the safety of the animal as well. I want to do what you need me to do to ensure the safety of your pets. I want peace of mind and communication for everyone! Don’t be afraid to advocate for your pet, let’s talk!

“I am so grateful to Brittney for watching my two cats while I was away for almost two weeks. Brittney gives my fur girls a lot of TLC. I can see such a big difference from Brittney’s care and some previous sitters because my cats are more emotionally secure when I get back and wanting to interact. Brittney is trustworthy and thorough in her communication. I can count on her to follow directions and she pays attention to details and when I have had to change instructions from a prior time I had to be away. Knowing Brittney was taking care of my cats allowed me to be much more confident and secure about being very far away and for a long time. Thank you thank you thank you Brittney! 💗🙏🏻😻😻🫶🏻”

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Boston

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
