“Abby is THE BEST! She’s so kind, sweet with our cats, and goes above and beyond to spend time at our house and communicate with us while we’re gone. I couldn’t have picked a better person to take care of our cats and couldn’t recommend her more!”
“Alexis was in regular contact with us throughout our time away, asking questions to take the best care of our pets. And it helped having an animal lover caring for them. Thanks, Alexis!”
About: I was raised around animals, including horses and a beagle kennel. Then, I had a sweet chihuahua for 13 years that I raised and trained from a puppy. I really do love all animals, and timid cats usually take a liking to me. I’m currently working part time, so pet care fits in to my daily schedule very well. I’m flexible with availability and commute, and read care instructions carefully. I have a two story house with a unfenced backyard that I can watch small to medium sized pets. When going to client’s home, I follow care instructions very closely and provide lots of love and attention for the fur babies.
“Christina is great! She is a lightning-fast communicator, which any anxious pet owner knows is a big deal! She took the time to get to know my cats, but respected their comfort level, and asked thoughtful questions during intros!”
About: I have had animals my whole life, and have been caring for them since I got my cat Lola for my birthday when I was 9! I’ve always had a passion for animals and couldn’t imagine life without pets. I’ve been taking care of my dog Jack since we got him 11 years ago, dogsitting for my sister Katie for 6 years, and my other sister Molly for 9 months as she recently got a puppy! I would love to meet your furbaby, I’m sure we’ll be great friends!❤️ My schedule is currently very open as I am in between jobs. I should be available any time of day that you may need me! I am unable to provide services out of my own home, however I am more than willing to accommodate whatever requirements or requests you may have in your home!
“The 1st time I had to leave my cats, Pookie and Ziggy, with a Pet-Sitter. Sandy was PROFESSIONAL, PUNCTUAL, and stayed and played with my Furbabies. Sandy sent me pictures each day, which put my mind at ease. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sandy!!! I will use her again!!!😻😻😻”
About: I’ve taken care of pets ever since I was a teenager in high school. My friends, family, and neighbors would rely on and trust me to check-in, walk, feed, and care for their pets while they were out of town and would return home knowing their pets were well cared for while they were away! I am a recent Physician Assistant graduate looking for part-time work while studying for my boards! Rover allows me to create the perfect work schedule for myself, while also allowing sufficient time during my day to focus on my studies. I love caring for pets in the comfort of their own home, where they can stay in a familiar and stress-free environment. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual routine and needs, and I’m happy to provide everything from feeding and walks to playtime and keeping their space clean and comfortable. I understand how important it is to feel confident that your pet is safe and well cared for while you’re away, and I treat every pet as if they were my own.
About: Since I was a child, people would bring strays or unbalanced animals to our house who would suddenly be calm and comfortable in my care. I spent a lot of time in nature and wild animals would often follow me home. I now have my Masters of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis and wrote an original thesis on clicker training for service dogs. I am on the Board and a trainer for Hero Puppies for Life where we train service dogs for heroes with PTSD. We use positive reinforcement and are focused around relational bond training. This sets the dogs up for success to support their humans. We also teach their humans how to understand their dog's instincts and communication. I am quite passionate about it. :) Leo is my 7 year old black lab and personal service dog so your fur family will have free socialization and canine therapy in addition to my human care. He has worked with me extensively as a focal point in my approach to providing applied behavior analysis therapy to children and dogs. I trust our working relationship more than anyone on two legs. ;) Please feel free to ask me any questions about this dynamic! I am currently a full time student in an online, fully remote, tech program so I am very flexible when it comes to location, time of day, and duration for care. From the time I was in college, I always loved pet and house sitting. Opportunities for a change of scenery, in a fresh space, and caring for fur friends is always a treat. The care completely depends on the needs of the animals and home. I have administered meds, cared for young and old pets, implemented training, embraced snuggles, and fulfilled food orders that make meals look like a sundae.
“Joselle was a great pet sitter. She not only cared for our large senior dog, she also took care of our daughter’s 9 week old puppy. She kept in touch with us & was very attentive. Will definitely book her again”
“Our 13 and 14 y/o high-maintenance kitties were so delighted with Kristie's care. They took to her right away which is definitely not common. She communicated with us well and understood our action-packed kitty schedule. We felt at ease while we were away for a weekend trip with Kristie at the helm!”
About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give every dog. I’ve grown up around family pets and understand how important it is for dogs to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’m available 24/7. I have 4 dogs at home and am willing to pet sit at any point of any day! I’m just getting started on rover and would love to get my name out there! I have hands-on experience caring for dogs through both personal and professional settings. I previously worked for a local groomer as a dog bather, where I became comfortable handling dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments. In addition, I regularly care for my family’s dogs by feeding them, taking them on walks, spending time with them, and pet sitting when family members are away. I also help care for pets for extended family members, including my aunts and uncles, who trust me with their dogs while they travel or need extra help. I truly enjoy being around animals and am looking forward to expanding my services to help more pet owners feel confident their dogs are safe, cared for, and treated like family.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
