We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Amber! We have multiple pets, including a very fickle and sometimes difficult Newfie, and she handled everything so patiently and confidently. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our pets were being cared for by someone who truly understood them and took the time to make them comfortable. She provided frequent updates, pictures, and communication throughout the stay, which we appreciated so much. It was obvious our pets were getting lots of attention, care, and love while we were away. Coming home to happy, relaxed animals says everything. We will absolutely book again and highly recommend Amber to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and compassionate sitter — especially if you have large breeds or dogs with unique personalities!

Kerian has done a great job of walking my dog Wally. Wally gets very excited whenever she pulls into the driveway. I also just had her house sit with Wally for a long weekend. Wally was well cared for and the house was cleaner than I left it. I will not hesitate to have her house sit again. I would highly recommend!!

Torri took excellent care of our four legged’s. Unfortunately, one of our animals had an unexpected medical crisis. Torri swiftly acted and handled the situation with care, professionalism, and love. She definitely served as our surrogate pet parent when we were 1300 miles away. Torri also left the house clean and tidy. Her pet care and house sitting was top notch. I would highly recommend Torri. Thank you, Torri.

About: I have dog sat for a family friend for a long time now! I usually stay at her house and take care of her doggies. I am currently a full-time teacher looking for some extra work. If I stay over at your place, you would have to be okay with me leaving for the day to go to work, but I will come right back to take care of your loves. I am available most weekends :) I can take your dogs out for potty breaks, play fetch, take walks, etc. I love giving furry friends treats, pet rubs, cuddles. I can fill up the food and water bowls.

This was our first time having Tanya stay at our home to watch our dogs, and she was absolutely wonderful! She sent us great updates each day and took the best care of our pups and home. She truly cares about the well being of animals which gave us peace of mind that our dogs were in great hands while we were gone. We highly recommend her, and anyone would be lucky to have her sit for them. Thank you so much Tanya. Our dogs loved spending the long weekend with you!

About: I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, chickens mainly for family and friends, some neighbors. I very good with young hyper dogs considering I have a miniature Aussie. I also have a 12 senior dog who can only go on 15 min walks. I love all animals wether it’s watching/playing with them or taking them on walks! Pet care fits into my schedule cause I’m a young hairstylist who is trying to fill up her books. Being a new hairstylist isn’t easy and I want to fulfill my time well considering bills I have to pay each month I am very comfortable with animals depending if you want me to spend the night or not. I’m very flexible with coming and going or simple taking them on walks. I love to take my own dogs on walk and runs as well!

Aida did great with our girl Faye and the updates and pics she sent were so helpful in keeping me calm. This was the first time we ever used Rover and our first time leaving Faye alone since her pup brother crossed the rainbow bridge so I was pretty nervous. If you're thinking about reaching out to Aida, I would say definitely give it a shot! She has a lot of positive and friendly energy that your kiddo will love! Thanks Aida!

Evelyn is a top-tier sitter. Great communication (lots of photos, keep me apprised of the goings on while I was away), super respectful (I think my house was cleaner when I got back than when I left it), and most importantly: my boys loved her. Would book with her again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Evelyn!!

Hope did a great job watching my dog Charlie. She was communicative and gave him a lot of love and special attention. She picked up the booking with only a couple days notice (life saver) and even made time in her day to make sure to give him a walk - even walking him on the day that we got home.

Shea was absolutely fantastic. Our dog has some health issues, and Shea was very attentive to his medications and our concerns while we were away. We came home to a very happy dog. Our house was spotless. Without asking, Shea washed the bedding and put everything in its place. Her communication was thorough and consistent. Without any hesitation, we would ask Shea to sit for Rocky again! Thank you again for everything, Shea!

About: Have a family of 3 dogs and 2 cats and my family and I love our messy and hyper fur kids, no matter the situation we do research to avoid getting our fur kids sick and keep them feeling loved and relaxed :) I graduated from college this past summer and am working part time jobs so I have time to take care of friendly pets of any kinds and more than happy to house sit as well for any vacations! We have a fenced yard and we have a crate to put them in when they are doing naughty behaviors like digging through the trash or grabbing things (like food on the table) when they aren’t supposed to. I take them on walks and give them toys to play with as they love tug of war and enrichment toys to keep them busy while we are otherwise we cuddle and watch tv on the couch in my free time.

About: I have trained my own dogs to do tricks and go potty outside. I have also accidentally trained one dog to follow non verbal commands to come, back up, move out of the way. I am currently not working and have time to stay at the home and come back for potty breaks if that’s needed and to play with the dogs and get them out and about. I take the dogs out and walk them. We play and swim (they use life jackets). Pick up the potty right after they go. And with my cat I scoop her litter box daily and do a hot water and soap bath wash weekly. She cuddles and plays with me when she wants to. For all animals fresh water and food everyday and clean bowls everyday.

FAQs for House Sitting - Bodum

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Bodum on Rover is $32.19 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 1,445 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bodum. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bodum walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bodum maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bodum choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bodum. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
