“We continue to be so grateful for Andrea’s care and attention. I cannot say enough kind words about her. If she cares for your animal, know that they will be in the best hands! We highly recommend!”

About: I love all animals! I have experience with dogs, cats, cows, reptiles (mainly snakes), chickens, ducks, rodents (rats, mice, hamster), rabbits, sheep, goats, birds, etc! I love connecting with each animal in their unique ways, I truly believe we have a lot to learn from these compassionate beings. It's my pleasure to make them feel safe, loved, well fed and fully exercised! I am happy to offer extra services that include picking up or dropping off (you provide crate), giving medications orally or topically (I don't do injections), brushing fur, cleaning litter boxes, feeding your other animals, etc. Please don't hesitate to ask for more help, I'm here for you and your pet! I don't have a lot of experience with disabled or very old animals but I'm willing to learn what their specific and special needs are. I have had older dogs in my life so I do have a basic grasp on their needs but everyone is unique! I mostly work remote from home with the occasional pop into the warehouse once or twice a week. My schedule can be pretty flexible for the most part! I'll gladly learn the typical schedule you have with your pet so that they feel their care is secure and stable. Time of feeding, length of walk, treats, etc. Just let me know and I'll do my best to make you both feel considered and cared for. I'm not currently doing doggy day care or boarding. Eventually I will offer that service again! I might be open to it on a case by case basis.

About: I began my seriously joyous devotion to animals at the age of 11, as an SF ZOO volunteer in the barnyard, where I learned to care for a variety of animals, from miniature horses to coyotes to parrots, and more. I have continued to attract rescuing wayward beasts of all kinds, providing them with excellent love and care. I am a natural nurturer, the animals feel at home with me wherever we are. I have worked as a cat, dog and multi-pet sitter for many years, up until now, only through personal referrals. I am a kundalini yoga teacher, craniosacral and polarity therapist. My son is grown and I have a very flexible schedule. I love to get out with the dogs for long walks and if they don’t mind the car, we might get to the beach. I love nature, the outdoors and finding out how best to care for your animal so that they don’t miss you too much. I absolutely appreciate forming long term client relationships so that you and your animals can relax and have fun. I am self-employed and can accommodate your needs. When I am hired for a pet-sit, this is my focus and priority. I can schedule all my other work around it. I have a lovely minimalist home for your pet, a small garden and plenty of leashed walking in the woods space for regular exercise. If a dog is ok with car rides, I’m happy to take them to the beach.

“Natalie was a godsend! She stepped in over the busy holiday season to walk our beloved pet while we were away and when we found that our overnight sitter needed some extra support. So grateful for that! We found Natalie to be conscientious and in tune with what our dog needed and what we needed to know about our dog when we were away. Perfect amount of photos and updates! In addition, Natalie is fun and upbeat and clearly cares about the well being of animals. Even though it was one of the weeks of the year, Natalie took out our girl-dog faithfully. She was an excellent communicator with the other sitter, which really helped and made us feel like our dog was getting the best care she could have.”

“Kaiel took my sweet but reactive pup out for a walk and fed her dinner while I was out of town. Kaiel was super responsive to all my messages, came over for a meet and great ahead of time, was really great with my pup, and sent lot of photos and a nice message after the walk. I highly recommend!”

“Oli has been such a help for both overnight house sitting and quick workday walks. She is respectful of all my requests, very communicative and helpful. Best of all, she is so great with my large, energetic German shepherd dog. I’m so grateful for her help and would highly recommend her services.”

My own animals are well mannered and will welcome your dog into our home. I am currently a "stay-at-home" mom. About: I have been dog sitting for years but started Rover in 2022. I started out caring for my two pugs and cat, and have been sitting for family, friends, and folks on Rover. I am currently working as an overnight nursing assistant on Sunday-Tuesday, so I have plenty of time to take care and play with your pet! The rest of the days I am here to help, so they can get all the love and attention they can get while you’re away! When I am at a client’s home I make sure fencing is secured if needed. My home has a fence as well. I also make sure they have enough place to play whether it could be inside or out. I prefer to be outside with them! I love being active with animals but if you’re pet is somewhat a couch potato OR old, I can comfort them in whatever way they feel comfortable.

About: I’ve lived with dogs since my first memory. I grew up on a farm, and we had 3-6 dogs at any given time. When I went to college, I adopted the first dog I would raise on my own -- he lived almost 15 happy years. I rescued another pup in my mid-thirties — he’s going on 7, and we’re best buds. So, I have experience taking care of puppies, seniors, and every age in between. My dogs and I have participated in puppy schools and worked 1:1 with excellent dog trainers -- in each case, I learned as much as my dog. I believe dogs just want to give love and get love back. This emotional reciprocation, along with adequate exercise and a healthy diet, makes for a happy, healthy dog. I believe every dog is good by nature, and, as humans, we have a responsibility to provide dogs with a nurturing environment in which they can be their good-natured, happy selves. I love connecting with a new dog, understanding its world and experience. With empathy from this connection, I find it easier to care for a dog and provide the type of love any particular dog needs and wants -- through daily routines, fun-hearted play, and plenty of attention. Ultimately, this leads to a more enjoyable relationship between human and canine. While I’m primarily a dog person, I grew up with lots of cats on the farm and have lived with and cared for cats here and there as an adult. I feel comfortable with cats and understand their needs. I understand the trust required to let someone else take care of your pet. My promise is to always be building and reinforcing my trustworthiness as a caregiver to animals and plants. I walk my dog every day. I understand some dogs need more than one walk per day, depending on their energy level. I also make sure my dog gets outside several times a day to enjoy the fresh air and relieve them. I will do the same for yours, based on your preferences. At this time, I work from home, so my availability for drop-ins or walks is very flexible. I am calm, gentle, and patient and aim to create an environment where the dogs I care for can feel and act the same. When walking, I like to keep dogs on a 6-foot leash (not a retractable leash) and keep the dog walking forward as opposed to stopping every few seconds. I consider myself the leader (not the dog) and intend to set a vibe where the dog understands they have a job to do -- walk!

“Avery was a great pet sitter! Good communication, friendly attitude, and a delightful young woman that I felt I could trust. She also knew how to take care of my dog and cat very well. She must have some experience. Will definitely hire her again”

About: I am a fish biologist, but love all animals. I am new to Rover, but my friends and coworkers regularly rely on me to care for their pets. I have cared for dogs with special needs, such as epilepsy, senior dogs and puppies. I have done basic dog training courses with my 30 lb tripod dog and volunteered walking dogs at my local shelter. I will treat your furry family member with love and care! I work remotely from 8-4:30 pm on weekdays, so I’m available to provide attention and fun for your pet most of the day. I usually go to the office on Wednesdays, but I can accommodate if your pet cannot be alone very long. I am an active person and would love to take your dog to the park or beach or for walks on trails, if they do well in those settings. If your dog is lower energy, I can match that energy too! I am excellent at following directions and will follow your pets normal schedule. I am observant and will pay attention to your dog’s well-being. You can expect clear and consistent communication if you trust me with your furry family member. House sitting: I am happy to take your dog for multiple walks a day and accommodate special food or medication schedules. I am a respectful, clean, non-smoker, in my 30s. I work from home on weekdays, so would just require internet access. Boarding: If you prefer to board at my place, I live on a partially fenced, three acre property in the forest with my partner, Troy, another fish biologist. We have chickens in a fenced in area, a dog and an indoor/outdoor cat. There is a creek between our house and the street. I usually take my dog out for two walks a day and outside in the yard with supervision, or unsupervised in a completely fenced in porch where she loves to sunbathe.

About: A lifelong animal lover, I have cared for dogs, cats, and other pets for over 20 years. For the past decade, I have worked professionally in the animal care field, with most of my time spent in animal shelters caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, and more! Working with shelter animals has given me a huge education on how to approach scared or stressed animals, so I can work with dogs and cats that aren't comfortable with new people, and go at their pace to ensure a smooth transition. Working in a shelter environment has given me a solid foundation in canine and feline behavior and enrichment which will allow me to provide more specialized care to your pets. I am also working towards a Professional Dog Training certification with Karen Pryor Academy, which is a school with a focus on positive reinforcement-based dog training. I hope to be certified near the end of 2025. I currently have a flexible schedule and can work with you to meet your and your pets' needs! I am happy to accommodate schedule changes as much as I am able to. I am only offering dog walking and drop-in pet-sitting services at this time. I am happy to work within your boundaries to ensure safety and security for all.

Animals can sense things we cannot and I would have to say that my Chihuahuas love her. You would not go wrong by hiring her to take care of your four-legged friends.”
