About: I began volunteering at my city's animal shelter at the age of thirteen, dog walking, and I quickly began taking on more responsibilities at the shelter from there. By the time I was fifteen, I was volunteering in vet services, helping with adoption events, and doing critter care, where I socialized and took care of small animals like rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, and mice. During my time as a volunteer, I began a veterinary assisting program. I spent five days a week providing care to dogs, cats, horses, and rodents while learning proper medical procedures. Within that care, I attentively followed tailored feeding and kenneling instructions meant to keep the animals safe and healthy. Through my time at my tech school, I gained my OSHA 10 healthcare-focused certification, my HIV, Bloodborne Pathogen certification, and I graduated with my veterinary assisting certification. After graduating, I began working at my city's animal shelter as a Student Day Laborer and Veterinary Assistant, as well as pet sitting for people living in and around my city. At the animal shelter, I handled dogs with various behavioral challenges, including nipping, jumping, barking, pulling, lunging, and multiple kinds of reactivity. I maintained a clean and tidy environment by cleaning up many kinds of bodily fluids and parasites to ensure the comfort and health of the animals. During my time there, I fostered several dogs from the euthanasia list to provide them with proper enrichment and training to make them less frustrated and more adoptable. I have experience providing medical care and enrichment to puppies as young as three weeks old and senior dogs. I am a college student, but I am currently on summer break, so I am available every day except for Thursdays and Fridays. I am very flexible with my schedule when it comes to work and am willing to work with people on timing. I am capable of providing medical care and following specific feeding instructions that have been provided to me by the owner. I provide appropriate enrichment and exercise for different age ranges and breeds.

About: I've taken care of dogs who love everyone and those who are as choosy as cats in their people. I share my home with four cats, each one with their own style of pets and play (and their own diets). Every animal, just like every person, has their own personality. My goal is to pay attention and interact with them in a way that makes them feel safe, loved, and...if they're up for it...entertained. Need someone to walk your canine companions for a couple miles and then follow detailed instructions on which doggo gets what food and treats? That's me. Additionally, I have experience with administering medication to both cats and dogs (pills, inhalers, injections). I'm a remote-first professional, so my schedule is fairly flexible. Animals thrive with consistent routines, so I make a point to arrive on time and follow all owner directions. I regularly book between 7 AM and 9 PM, but currently my schedule is tight. Morning appointments are available if timing is flexible +\- a couple hours. My goal is to ensure that pets feel as safe and loved. Animals thrive on routine, so I'll be on time and follow your directions to ensure as much normalcy as possible while you're away. I have four cats, all of whom have different diets, play styles, and stranger tolerance, so I'm used to paying close attention to details. I'll earn your pets' trust by following your directions and adapting my approach to their needs. As a pet parent, I understand the importance of knowing how your companions are doing while you're away. I'll always check in with you and include pictures and updates. About: I have grown up with dogs and cats, and I have a cat of my own! I have always loved taking dogs out on walks and snuggling with cats. I have experience taking care of dogs and cats, and the odd reptile or bird, and I love getting the opportunity to gain more experience! I am available weekdays and weekends currently, and when school starts in late September, I will be available only on weekends and weekdays after 4pm. I live in an apartment complex that has a fence around the entire property. There’s a courtyard for dog walking/relief, and my apartment is pet friendly since I own a cat of my own. I walk dogs often, and feed my pets on every morning and night. I have a harness for my cat since he likes going outside, and I know not all cats like that. I give plenty of attention to my pets, and I might spoil them once in a while!

About: Hello! My name is Lauren and I have been taking care of animals on and off since I was a little girl. I have sat for puppies, seniors, cats, dogs, and everything in between. I have a bird and three dogs of my own, including a Saint Bernard. I love animals and I am hoping to get to meet some new ones before my graduation. I am a running start student so my weekdays are very flexible and open. I work at a daycare center on Sunday mornings, but aside from that, my weekends are completely free. Because of my flexible schedule, I am able to take pets on walks/potty breaks as often as needed. I always make an effort to tidy up toys or the home in general before leaving and I am very comfortable crating/feeding/playing with dogs of any size.

My dad is a vet and I also work at the clinic he owns so they’ll be in good hands. I love spending time outdoors or just relaxing and giving all the pets I work Monday through Thursday 7:30-5:30 at the vet clinic. When I was in grad school at Western several years ago, I worked part-time for a local pet-sitting business, The Placid Pet, where I enjoyed four wonderful years of looking after client dogs and cats. Currently, I am a full-time writer seeking healthy activities to supplement the hours I spend in front of a computer. What better way to get that activity than to hang out with awesome dogs and provide my fellow Bellinghamsters with the peace of mind that comes with knowing your furry family member is happy and well taken care of? As a former college athlete and life-long hiker, I'm in good shape for whatever activity your dog needs. I'm available for short or long walks in your neighborhood or at a nearby park or trail of your choosing, and I'm also happy to stop in and snuggle with your anxious pet for as long as he or she needs. I've taken an animal CPR training course in the past and plan a refresher course in the near future. Your dog's health and well-being is of utmost importance to me, and as a former professional dog walker, I have the skills and experience to keep your pet safe and happy during my visits. As a writer, my time is flexible, so I can be available in the mornings, at lunch, or in the early afternoon on a regular basis. I coach soccer on the weekends, but an occasional Sunday visit might be possible as needed. I am experienced entering client homes to render service, and as someone who has lived with escape-artist pets, I am also accustomed to entering homes carefully to make sure even the wiliest of pets doesn't escape. My car has a dog gate in back so that your pet can travel safely, should you choose for me to take them to a park or trail.

About: Hi there fur families! I've always had an affinity for all living creatures but especially dogs. I understand the importance of connection through play, maintaining a positive, bonding relationship, and how to make them feel loved and welcome. I believe in making sure that dogs are truly understood in their own language (smells, sounds, signals, and treats!). I can be very comfortable in your home or make your pet comfortable in mine and make sure your pet won't miss you too much while you're gone.
