Make the Most of Your Summertime Stays with These Tips
You love going above and beyond in your pet sitting business, and it’s never easier to make a splash than in the summertime! We’ve compiled a few ideas to help you make your summertime stays extra special.
Cool Treats
Help your clients beat the heat with some fun frozen treats! We’ve created several recipes for delectable, dog-friendly snacks that you can delight your guests with. All you need is a silicone baking sheet! (Always check with your furry friend’s owners to make sure they don’t have any allergies).
Rover Tip: Make an impression on your human clients by sending them home with a frozen treat recipe their dog already loves!
Fun in the Sun
Dogs love summer for all the same reasons you do! The weather has finally turned and there’s tons of daylight to explore in. It’s prime time for hiking, heading to the beach, or checking out local dog-friendly patios.
Rover Tip: These outdoor activities are great places to take photos of your Rover dog, try sending them home with a vacation portrait!
Splish Splash
If you’d rather stay at home, there are lots of ways to keep you and your Rover dog cool. Remember all of those fun summer things you’d do as a kid? Those same activities are perfect for furry friends. You can set up a sprinkler for everyone to run through or fill up a kiddie pool with cold water. Dogs love new experiences and will be all tuckered out after splashing around in the yard.
Rover Tip: Send dogs home after a refreshing bath–your human clients will thank you.
Safety First
No matter what, it’s important that you and your furry clients stay safe during your summer activities. Make sure you go for walks at the cooler parts of the day (morning and evening), provide dogs with plenty of water, and never leave a dog in a car.
Summer is the perfect time to go the extra mile for your clients. All it takes is a little creativity! And if you need a little more inspiration, feel free to reach out to the Rover team.
