About: I’ve grown up around pets and have been helping care for them for the past 2 years with feeding, walking, and keeping them company when my family’s away. I currently have 2 dogs and have been around dogs since I was born. I’m home for the summer, so I can give your pet my full attention. I’m patient, dependable, and always make sure pets feel safe and cared for. Whether it’s a quick check-in or a longer visit, I treat every pet like family. Pet care fits easily into my routine. I’m currently not working and is home for the summer, so I have open availability throughout the week to care for your pets. I can be flexible with times and adjust to your pet’s needs, whether that be mornings, afternoons, or evenings. I always follow your instructions carefully to keep your pet’s routine consistent and safe. During visits, I ensure all doors and gates are securely closed and never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. On walks, pets stay on leash at all times, and I stay alert to any hazards or changes in their behavior. I treat your home and belongings with respect and prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort.

About: I have been watching my sisters and neighbors fur babies for years. They rely on me when they travel for work or go on vacation. I have watched multiple cats and dogs as well as administered a hydration IV for a senior cat. I am loving and kind and will treat your fur babies like my own. I have a tuxedo kitty named Tucker and an Australian Shepherd named Harley, I will always make time for playtime and extra snuggles and pets. I’m currently not working so my schedule is very flexible and open. I can come at a time that is best for you. If you need a consistent schedule, I am able to do that. Our dog Harley is crated trained and plays indoors and outdoors in our fenced backyard.. She is walked on a leash daily and I check for ticks and foxtails after each walk. I completely puppy proofed the house when we adopted her. Tucker is an indoor cat and I keep up on his brushing to reduce his fur balls. I put his feather wand up high when I’m not at home so it’s safer for him. I play with him every day with the feather wand to get exercise and interaction. I know which flowers are not good for pets so we do not bring those into our home.

About: I’ve had animals of all types in my life since childhood, but even more so since I hit college and took on various jobs including those in veterinary medicine, pet sitting, medical care, and teaching. I am foremost a cat person, but have (and have had) dogs of my own and trained them from puppyhood. For pups, the best type of visit is one where both their minds and their bodies are engaged, in whatever way you prefer. I also have extensive experience with numerous other animals, including rabbits, mice, rats, ferrets, fish tanks, hamsters, cockatiels (and other pet birds), chicken, quail, horses, goats, and nearly every common reptile species as well as many uncommon ones. I’m currently taking an extended break from full time work, so in addition to the pet sitting that I have been doing for friends and volunteering with local animal organizations, signing up for Rover seemed to be an excellent opportunity. I am diligent and attentive to any instructions left behind, up to and including double checking the door is locked on my way out. Daily reports are not a problem, if requested. As a pet owner myself, I know how much relief and contentment can be found in knowing your animals are being well cared for in your absence.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life - raised dogs since I was six and had two cats since I was about eight. I regularly help friends, family, and neighbors with pet care, whether it’s daily walks, feeding, or just keeping their pets company. I enjoy taking dogs to the park or beach, and I’m comfortable with everything from young puppies to older pets. I treat every animal I watch with the same attention and care I give my own. I work part-time and finish around 2:30 on weekdays, so I’m available most afternoons and evenings. I’m also free on weekends for drop-ins, walks, or overnight care at your home. I only offer care in your home to make sure your pet stays comfortable in a familiar environment. I’m respectful of your space, follow any routines you have in place, and always make sure your pet feels safe and cared for.

About: I’m passionate about caring for animals and creating a loving, safe environment for every pet. Based in beautiful Novato (Marin County), my husband and I share our home—and a spacious, dog-friendly backyard—with our sweet German Shepherd, Princess Leia. I’ve had the joy of living with and caring for dogs of all sizes, from tiny Frenchies (like my late pup, Sputnik 💔) to energetic shepherds. I treat every pet like family, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and right at home. 🐾 Whether it’s a midday walk, a drop-in visit, or an overnight stay, your pet will receive personalized attention and plenty of affection. I only book a limited number of pets at a time so each one gets the care they deserve. Leia is gentle and well-socialized, making her a great companion for friendly visitors. 🐱 I’m also a lifelong cat lover and grew up with several. I’d be happy to drop in to feed your cat, clean up as needed, and of course, offer cuddles and company. If you're looking for a reliable, experienced, and loving sitter or walker, I’d love to help! With a flexible schedule and a deep passion for animals, caring for pets is more than a job—it’s a joy. I love spending my days walking dogs, playing in the backyard, and pampering cats, all while creating a peaceful and loving environment for each furry guest. Whether it’s energetic playtime, leisurely neighborhood strolls, or quiet cuddles on the couch, your dog or cat will be treated like family. Personalized attention, gentle care, and plenty of affection come standard here. Every pet deserves to feel safe, comforted, and truly loved while you’re away—and that’s exactly what I promise to deliver. I provide personalized pet care in my home and also offer attentive in-home visits, ensuring a safe, loving environment wherever your pet feels most comfortable. Whether at your place or mine, your pet is treated like family. From regular walks and playtime to feeding, medication administration, and cuddle breaks, I tailor each day to meet your dog’s or cat’s unique needs, routines, and personality. I pay close attention to their behavior and comfort, adapting as needed to keep them happy, calm, and well cared for while you’re away. Your pup will never be left unsupervised—instead, they’ll enjoy constant companionship, gentle care, and a calm, cozy space to relax. I make sure every dog gets a healthy balance of exercise, mental stimulation, and rest, so they stay happy, comfortable, and well-loved throughout their stay. Whether it’s for the day or overnight, you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in a secure, nurturing home where snuggles are always part of the routine. 🐾

About: I've been taking care of dogs for 8+ years - I have an Australian-Shepherd myself whom is such a bundle of joy, energy, and excitement, always eager to make new experiences, new pet friends, and new human-bonds! Personally throughout the years, I've always had at least 2-3 dogs at-home, at all times - These dogs have either stayed for just the day, overnight, or have boarded with me, the longest-boarding being 2-3 months (~16-18 weeks) with a German-Shepherd rescue, and we always have a blast. We always seek to find a routine so as to calm any boredom or stress throughout each day! We play, take walks, hang out in the grass yard / property, and go on 1-3 miles hikes in the local area! I love to spoil every dog I have the pleasure to be around, take scenic walks, and of course taking lots and lots of pictures. I'm currently working part-time 2-3 days a week, traveling to Oakland on those days. My availability reflects which days I will be back at-home in Novato, able to give full-attention and love to our little-ones :) I live on a large property, with a fenced-in yard, lush green-pasture for playtime, and complete with a shaded (puppy-proof) deck! I have no problem with crate-training, my goal is to give your pet what-they-need to be settled, calm, happy, and curious / playful. . . and then to give them lots of love and cuddles and kisses!

Amy S.
“To Whom It May Concern, I am delighted to write this letter of recommendation for Amy Shaw, who has been our trusted cat sitter for several years. Amy is simply the best—caring, responsible, and truly gifted when it comes to caring for animals. Our cat, Peter, is elderly at 17 years old and requires special care, including daily subcutaneous IV fluids. Amy has consistently provided this delicate care with gentle precision, deep compassion, and calm confidence. She has earned Peter’s complete trust—and ours as well. Amy is always dependable and highly responsive. She keeps us updated with photos and messages while we’re away, and she’s proactive in her communication, never hesitating to reach out with questions or observations. Knowing she is in our home gives us complete peace of mind; we know both Peter and our house are in the very best hands. It’s clear that animals adore Amy, and she returns that love tenfold. We feel incredibly lucky to have her in our lives and cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone seeking loving and reliable pet care. -Abbie”
