About: Since high school I have pet sat for family and friends and I'm also a lifelong pet owner of both cats and dogs! My dog growing up was a Samoyed, giving me lots of experience in handling strong energetic dogs and I've had many cats throughout my life. Some, like my current cat Albus, were very cuddly, while others were very shy and reserved. This lifelong experience has allowed me to learn how to handle all sorts of different needs and personalities of every animal I meet and know the challenges and joys of pets at any age. Currently I have one pet named Albus, he's a very grumpy looking Norwegian Forest who loves to cuddle, take naps in the sun, and people watch through the windows of our house. He is also very mischievous and likes to mess with people by laying right where he knows you'll walk so he gets extra pets with no effort! All of this gives me the experience needed to ensure your pets get lots of playtime, daily walks, plenty of treats, as many pets as your fur-baby desires, and making sure they get any pills they need on time! I also know how stressful traveling away from your pet can be, so I will be sending plenty of pictures and will respond to any texts as quickly as possible to ensure you won't have to stress during your vacation! My shedule is very flexible, occasionally I will be out of town on contract but in the time I am home I will be able to cater to your pets schedule. I'll keep a close eye on your pet while I'm there and my main goal is to make sure their usual schedule is kept! so the more details of pet care you can give me the better. I'll make sure they get walks, meals, medicine etc. at the correct times to ensure the health and happiness of your pet. I am also happy to do household tasks like watering plants or taking out the trash. I will also always ensure all doors are locked, and there's a light on when I leave (unless requested otherwise) to make sure your pet is as safe as possible while I'm away.

About: I’ve grown up around pets and have been helping care for them for the past 2 years with feeding, walking, and keeping them company when my family’s away. I currently have 2 dogs and have been around dogs since I was born. I’m home for the summer, so I can give your pet my full attention. I’m patient, dependable, and always make sure pets feel safe and cared for. Whether it’s a quick check-in or a longer visit, I treat every pet like family. Pet care fits easily into my routine. I’m currently not working and is home for the summer, so I have open availability throughout the week to care for your pets. I can be flexible with times and adjust to your pet’s needs, whether that be mornings, afternoons, or evenings. I always follow your instructions carefully to keep your pet’s routine consistent and safe. During visits, I ensure all doors and gates are securely closed and never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. On walks, pets stay on leash at all times, and I stay alert to any hazards or changes in their behavior. I treat your home and belongings with respect and prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort.

“Kat was a good send, last minute I was in need of someone to come and take care of my 7th month old puppy and stay at my place. She responded to my post in hours and was flexible as I figured out If it could work. She agreed to come and meet me first so we can connect since this was the first time I had ever hired a dog sitter. She took great care of my puppy and it was clear she is a natural. She took our pupp6 to her office well she worked, which was great because I meant she was never alone for too long. She took great care of the house and left it in great shape. I'm so glad that I found Kat for the next time. We need a do sitter.”

“Sophie is kind and reliable and seems to do great with my little dog Tess. Good communication and sent a pic or two along to let me know Tess was doing fine. I’ve re-booked her for another weekend: definitely a wonderful resource here on Rover.”

“Richard was on time, he was great with my dog. He even walked him, I appreciate that a lot as it wasn't a requirement.. Thankyou for being so great..I'd definitely ask them to watch Hammy again. Susannah was not feeling well today so we didn't get to meet her this time..”

“Carmelo did a wonderful job staying in my house with Bentley and Benji while we were away for a six days. He sent photos daily, communicated often and my house looked perfect when I arrived home. The pups were happy and healthy. Thanks Carmelo, I will definitely call you again.”

“Mesgana was fantastic. Our girls loved her from The moment they first met her at the meet and greet (which is unusual for our standoff-ish Akita) We came home to our normal dogs happy to see us but not that desperate “where have you been?- energy” Mesgana was so conscientious and took care with the whole house! I had to reach out regarding some deliveries during the trip and she handled that with grace even though it wasn’t at all what she signed up for !”

“Lindsay was a perfect dog and house sitter while my wife and I were on vacation. It was so great knowing our precious older dogs were being well taken care of as Lindsay updated us on a daily basis. Will absolutely be hiring her again if she’s available.”

“Taylor is responsible for, kind, smart, and wonderful with dogs! We have a Blue Heeler mix who is picky about who he likes and he bonded with her immediately. About: For house-sitting, please message us to discuss availability. We may have more availability than listed on Rover! Ryane and Dave are a couple with decades of experience in pet care. Between us, we have provided care for dogs, cats, small animals, birds (including raptors), reptiles, fish, and exotics. Our experience includes providing medication and taking care of special needs animals. Both Ryane and Dave have advanced degrees in animal-related fields; Ryane has a Ph.D in Animal Behavior and Dave has a Master's degree in Avian Science. Both of us have devoted our lives and careers to learning about and caring for various animals. Our experience through both research and wildlife rehab has given us plenty of hands-on medical experience with animals. Our former cat, Charlie, needed up to 8 medications a day for the last year of her life, and we understand just how hard it can be to travel when you have a high-needs companion. We hope our years of professional and personal experience caring for animals will help alleviate your anxieties, knowing your critters are in capable and loving hands. Please feel free to reach out to us to discuss if we are a good fit for watching your animal(s). Our schedule changes regularly and Rover may not be up to date; we may be able to accommodate requests outside of our listed calendar. Please message us to discuss options. Ryane currently works full time Tuesday-Saturday, but Dave's work is remote, so one of us is usually around to give care to your animals when needed! Please note that we are often balancing our work with pet care, so understanding your pet's individual care needs throughout the day is important to determining if we are a good fit. Please provide as much information as you can! We pride ourselves on leaving our client's home as clean as we found it and will always treat your home with the utmost respect. We do our best to follow your pet's established schedules and routines, making your time away as easy on your pet as possible! We are also able to provide regular house care (e.g. plant watering, etc.), just let us know what is needed!

“Carlee recently housesat for my dog and cat for a week. My senior dog has some special needs (medication) and she did a good job taking special care of him. We did have to adjust walking and feeding times as I’m retired; Carlee was up and out before the dog usually gets out of bed. He seemed to adapt to the changes in his schedule, I seemed to have more anxiety about it, simply because I was not aware ahead of time. She sent pictures which were very much appreciated, and left the house extremely clean and tidy.”

“Isabella was amazing!! Incredibly sweet and responsible, clearly a dog lover 😊 She went above and beyond to make sure we knew Jax was safe and taken care of with lots of updates. She even showed up with a pup cup & treats for him when she arrived! Thank you so much Isabella, Jax misses you already!”

“Caroline is wonderful with Jake. When he sees her, he jumps in her lap and wants to be cuddled immediately. Caroline gave him some much needed play time and a walk while I was out for the day. This is my second booking with her and would definitely book again!”

Gabriella T.
“Gabby has pet sat for me and my family countless times. Each time I have come back to a happy and healthy pup. She was diligent about making sure Cooper got long walks each day, was fed on time, and got lots of love throughout her time staying with him. Cooper gets so excited when Gabby comes over and it gives me such peace of mind leaving him with a responsible and loving pet sitter like Gabby.”

Vaughn T.
“We highly recommend Vaughn as a pet/house sitter. We went on a recent 2 week trip and Vaughn stayed at our house and took great in home care of our dog, Skyler. He also managed the household including garbage day pick up, daily mail, and providing a presence at the house. We felt comfortable with Vaughn right from the beginning meeting. Vaughn is trustworthy, reliable, caring, responsible, and easy going. He is very pet oriented and took very good care of Skyler. He took her on adventure walks and even gave her a bath! That is above and beyond the call of duty. We really appreciate that Vaughn sent us pictures and communications via text, which is very reassuring. Vaughn is a very nice person and provides exceptional personalized care. We would definitely utilize his service again and again. Way to go Vaughn.”

Ryane & David L.
“Ryane and Dave have sat for our dogs a couple of times and they're great. One of them is a tempramental chihuahua, but they handled him no problem at all. They bring a wealth of formal education in various types of animal studies as well, which gives them a level of understanding of animal behavior that far exceeds most petsitters you're going to find. Definitely recommend!”

Black Point-Green Point pet parents share their Rover experiences
Jessica did a great job taking care of my dog Bailey. Bailey absolutely loved Jessica which was represented in the pictures that she sent. Bailey has some "special needs" due to an ole leg injury and Jessica was very mindful of that. She is responsive and communicates well. I would definitely have her sit with Bailey again.!!!

Erik was wonderful with our 2 dogs. He sent us daily pictures and maps of the walks. Our dogs were happy and very well cared for! Erik was also flexible and stayed an extra day which was an absolute life saver for us!! I highly recommend Erik without any reservations…and will be booking his services again when needed.
