About: I have considered myself a part time pet/house sitter since college when a vet that I worked with at the animal hospital recommended me to a client for dog sitting. My other pet sitting friends always ask me to fill in for them if they are unavailable for a usual client. My expertise is with cats but I love all animals and would love to care for your furry family member while you’re away! I do work full time, 10 hour days but after 6pm I am completely free. Due to my 10 hour work days I have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off every week! I am very respectful of clients’ wishes and animals’ needs. I will do my very best to care for your animals in the same way you would to prevent as much stress as possible and create as little disruption in their normal routine.

About: Growing up in a home with multiple dogs taught me how important patience, consistency, and attention are when caring for pets. I’m very comfortable around dogs and genuinely enjoy spending time with them, whether that means going on walks, playing, or just helping them feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re away. I know every dog is different, and I always try to make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I’ve grown up in a home with multiple cats and dogs. I’m used to feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and making sure pets are comfortable and cared for throughout the day. Because I’ve always been around animals, caring for them feels like a normal and easy part of my everyday life. I’m used to living in a multi-pet household, so I pay attention to different needs at the same time. In a client’s home, I follow their instructions carefully by making sure they’re fed on time, getting the exercise and attention they need, and making sure they always have a clean, safe space. I also focus on being calm, patient, and respectful of each pet’s comfort level.

About: I have had the joy of having dogs and cats as my companions my entire life! Including 2 painted turtles and fish. I've always had a love for animals and nature. I absolutely enjoy meeting new pet friends of all kinds. I have been pet sitting here in Jacksonville for 3 years now and have had the pleasure of caring for parrots, fish, cats, and dogs. A client of mine has a cat that needs medication as well as my own dog with allergies. I've done pet sitting for my own veterinarian's small farm with ducks, chickens, mini ponies, and mini donkey's as well. I pick my daughter up from school weekly and am unavailable from 1pm-2:30pm due to the commute. Otherwise, I'm available to care for or play with your pet any other time during the week. I am available anytime on the weekends. I have a large fenced in yard with two friendly dogs for your pets to play with. I crate my own dogs and can do the same for yours if need be. I give my own dog medication for her allergies and can do the same for your own. I never leave outdoor play unattended as I do have a pool. If feeding time is needed, I separate all so as to not cause issues. I give lots of love and attention!

“Karla’s the best! My dog loves her. He has severe periodontal disease and numerous other conditions and despite his issues she loves and cuddles with him just as I would. Over his almost 14 year lifespan I’ve left him with numerous sitters and she’s the only one I’ve felt good about leaving him with. I have her stay at my home and she treats the place like it’s her own or maybe even better. For me, having someone I fully trust to love and care for my little one is key. My only reservation in writing this recommendation is that I don’t want her to be booked when we need her. :)”
