About: I have taken care of all kinds of animals from a young age. Family and friends have trusted me throughout the years with caring for their animals. In my younger years, I worked at a kennel walking and caring for dogs and cats. I have had all kinds of pets through my life including birds, rabbits, cats, dogs, mice, guinea pigs and more. For the past 5 years I have been a stay at home mom. My children have all started school and I am now looking for other ways to make income while still being able to be here for my family. With my children in school I have time throughout the day to care for your animals. I love animals and spoiling them. My dog is a michecious guy. He like to annoy his cat sister and find different things to get into. Although he does not have separation issues, he is my second shadow. I am excited to meet new animals.
About: Over the years, I have owned 11 cats and 4 dogs, not to mention hamsters, guinea pigs and birds. I have always loved animals, and have a gentle approach to care as I think often our pets are scared enough when their owners need to be away. I enjoy trying to ease their fears or stressors, and getting their licks and purrs in return. I am recently retired and generally have a flexible schedule, depending on whether I'm traveling or not. Usually I'm able to work with your schedule. I believe in play and exercise as a way to ease the stress of owners being gone. But of course I listen to my clients and maintain whatever routine they think works for their pet. They know best. With my own dog, we walk twice a day and play occasional games in between (but she is an older chihuahua mix and mostly wants to sit by my side and take naps!). I lost my latest cat last year, but my daughter has a two year old kitty who LOVES to jump, run and play and it's so fun to see what he can get into!
“Nikki was an awesome sitter! Not only was she reliable and responsible, but she was also able to coax my shy cats out and make friends with them. I felt very confident and comfortable leaving my pet family in her care. I will definitely be asking her to sit again😊”
