I am currently not working as summer school jobs are slim. A little about me--I have had a love for animals since I was young, and I find that I have always felt most at home surrounded by our furry, four-footed family over the years. We have had animals all my life, and we have raised several breeds of dogs including Dalmatian, Cocker Spaniel, Blue and Red Heelers, Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, Boxer, Standard Poodles, Great Pyranees, and many more loveable mixed breeds. I have taken care of dogs and puppies since I was 5 years old. They were always like family to me, and I have many years of experience of their care and basic command training for puppies using positive reinforcement. I have experience caring for sick and senior dogs as well as every canine that has come into our family has found their forever home and lived out their fullest lives possible. If your pup needs some freshening up, a haircut, or a pedicure, I can help with that. I am a professional pet stylist and member of the NDGAA. I have continued education through NDGAA workshops and worked full-time at a pet salon for a few years while also grooming my own dogs, Standard Poodles, their whole lives (14 years.) I can bathe or groom your dog or trim their nails if needed. I currently work part-time, and I have quite a bit of extra time to care for your pups and kitties. Wednesdays and Sundays are our busiest days, so I will not be able to offer pickup on those days, but the other days are open. I have a fenced yard, and I will leash your dog on walks for extra care. They are free to be downstairs in my home with me and our family, and I will kennel for their safety when and if we leave the home for short errands. For pet care in their home, I can take on walks, let outside into fenced yard, feed, water, and bathe/groom the dogs or trim nails if needed. I also have trained several puppies basic commands using clicker-training and positive reinforcement.

About: Hi I’m Lindsey! New to Knoxville, I recently worked at Stand For Animals in Mooresville, NC as a Veterinarian Technician during COVID-19 in 2020. My duties included: drawing up vaccines, cleaning surgery supplies, creating surgery packets, assisting the vet during surgeries, office visit care, etc. I have worked at Dunlap Veterinary clinic since I was 16 years old. Here I was a kennel assistant. Duties included: Supervise and care for all animals that are boarded in the kennels (cats, dogs, small pets, etc.) -Mentor and train new employees, advised in certain areas to help them succeed in the job. -Clean kennels for all animals, walk dogs, distribute medicine, feed and water all animals, bathe dogs, cut toenails, exercise dogs, engage in playtime with all animals. -Aided Veterinary Technicians in giving shots, fluids, x-rays, and drawing blood when needed. I have been living with cats since the day I was born and absolutely love them! I frequently have dog sat beforehand too while living in multiple states including Illinois, Missouri and North Carolina. sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
