About: I have lots of compassion when it comes to animals, and I have years of experience working for cat/dog rescues as well as pet transports, I currently have a four day weekend at my current job and have way too much free time! I also have no problem with early mornings or late nights! I have two small dogs that I take for a couple walks a day, and I Help prepare their food which is home made and all natural. I also have a cat with urinary tract issues so I’m used to keeping their litter boxes spotless.

Love the photos! This was our first time using anyone for a pop in visit. This was totally last minute! Asked Paul and his fiance last night at 7pm to please help us, and without hesitation they came right over and met our boys. They did a pop in visit today and they were wonderful!!! Will definitely use them again :) They were great!!!! Thank you both so much !

Jen is absolutely the BEST petsitter you will ever experience. My cat is very high maintenance with her attitude and her massive hair (forest cat). Upon my arrival home kitty was calm, very content , and had an extensive grooming! My home was exceptionally clean with the removal of litter and cat food cans. Jen met me before the sitting dates and she was extremely knowledgeable . She has tons of common sense--- You will not need to give her pages of instruction. She GETS IT ! In addition, my plants were watered during this 94 degree weather , mail was placed neatly inside, and trash cans were taken to the curb . Photos are sent to you at each visit. Love Jen to take care of my cat.

About: I’ve been dog walking and sitting for neighbors since I was 12 years old. I’ve dog sat multiple types of dogs. I’ve done dog walking, check-in & potty break visits, and I’ve stayed at a clients home for long periods of time (5+ days) to be with their pups. I’ve also been tasked with administering insulin shots to dogs before. And I have a lot of experience with dogs that have anxiety, whether with new people, thunderstorms, or anything else, as I have one myself and a long remaining client of mine does as well. I’ve always loved dogs, having grown up having 2 smaller dogs myself. I am hoping to do pet sitting as a new permanent business, so I will have nothing but time to look after your pets! I will schedule out days and time periods based on client necessity and to provide the optimal care for your pets. Because I have two dogs myself, one of which has severe people and other animal anxiety, which for the safety of your pets and mine means I am unable to bring any pets into my home as of current. However, I’ve stayed at the homes of clients before to be with their pups while they’re away. I feed them every morning and night or make sure the food bowl is full depending on how the client feeds their dogs. I give them any medicine or joint tablets that they need to be well. I let them out multiple times a day whenever they need it. And I try to play with and pet them as much as I can while I’m there so they don’t miss their humans too much. I will even take them on a walk if allowed.

About: I am a mature and reliable pet sitter with a preference for cats but will also be happy to provide care for small dogs or other animals. I operate with a genuine love for all all animals and have a history of community service and donations to animal shelters and causes. I have been a cat owner for over 12 years and currently have one senior cat. When it comes to cat care, my extensive experience and commitment to feline companionship shine through. I specialize in socializing skittish cats, exercising larger cats, and soothing senior cats. I am detail-oriented, ensuring that your pets get the care and attention they are accustomed to, including medication management, grooming, and in-home care. I am proactive in communication and am also highly responsive, giving pet-owners piece of mind. But that's not all – my versatility extends to caring for dogs as well. I bring the same level of dedication and expertise to canine companions, ensuring they receive the love and attention they deserve. Whether it's daily walks, playtime, or adherence to dietary requirements, I'm well-equipped to provide comprehensive care for dogs of smaller sizes. With me as your trusted pet sitter, you can confidently leave both your cats and dogs in capable hands. Your pets' happiness, safety, and well-being are my top priorities, and I take pride in delivering exceptional care tailored to their individual needs, whether they're four-legged felines or canine companions. About: I have had dogs since I was in preschool. I started my understanding of them and other animals when I turned nine. Since then, I always have had my and other people’s pets interest at heart. Today, my dogs are ages eight and eleven and I am their most trusted person in the house. I’ve trained them both despite being in school and I take care of their hygiene. This includes brushing their fur, washing them, and cleaning their teeth. When I am not taken care of their hygiene, I make sure they have a daily playtime or cuddle session so they have some love everyday. I have a part time job that requires me to work on Friday evenings and every third Saturday morning and afternoon. Other than that I am very flexible on both weekdays and weekends. If I am unable to work, I will communicate immediately to the best of my ability. I make sure hazards are out of range and site of the animal in care. I don’t rush the bond, and take it to the pet’s pace for trust. At home, my dogs at senior dogs that I have trained since they were puppies and we have a lot of trust in each other and a great bond. I can’t perform service at my own house since I have a toddler sibling who my dogs have gotten used to but I do not want to stress anyone’s pets out. We also have family members who have allergies.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Briana, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From our first interaction, it was clear that she had a genuine love for animals and a deep understanding of dog care. Briana took the time to get to know my dogs' personalities, habits, and specific needs, which put me at ease right away. During the time I was away, she provided regular updates and adorable photos, which reassured me that my pups were in great hands. Thank you Briana

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,569 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Betterton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Betterton. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
