About: I have taken care of and owned dogs my entire life, I grew up with 15 dogs on 3 acres. I have never not owned a dog with my senior pit coming up on 17 years with me. Currently home full time most days of the week, kids will be in school full time. I can work around your schedule & needs for pick-up, drop-off or drop ins. I live on 5 acres away from all main streets and a private drive for plenty of running space. I have converted my shed into a climate controlled dog house that has a fenced in area for the runners but if you prefer them to be inside I have plenty of space.
About: As a lifelong dog and cat owner who loves to travel, I know how important it is to know you’ve left your pets in good hands while you’re away. I work full-time but remotely, so it’s easy for me to stop by and check on/feed pets or stay overnight with them if need be. I can’t host others’ pets in my home, but I can easily and safely take care of pets at your house by keeping the home clean, communicating effectively and providing frequent updates. I always appreciate getting photos and messages about my pets’ care while I’m gone and will be happy to do the same for you.

About: Ever since I was I kid, I have had a dog or cat, and I have grown up loving them!! I will take care of your pet like it was my own and make sure it is played with and loved! I can go on energizing walks with your dog. If your dog is more chill, that works for me, too. I love playing with dogs, so if you have an energetic pup that likes to play, I'm willing to spend time doing that. I'll always work to ensure that your dog is safe with me. If we are on a walk, a leash will be used, we will be cautious of other dogs and people. I have experience administering medicine and caring for senior dogs. I am a teacher so I can check in on pets in the evenings and on weekends. I have more availability during the summer. I am willing to travel if necessary to care for your pet! “Dezerae has been great walking my dogs. Even my normally fearful Chihuahua has taken to her kind spirit quickly, which is a feat in and of itself. Would recommend Dezerae to anyone!”

“Linda came to give Zoey her 2nd bath today. Zoey was so happy to see her (I was too)! Linda goes above anything I’ve seen. She keeps the hair out of her ears and eyes and trims her nails. Linda is always on time and dependable, so sweet with our family and friends who may be here, we can’t wait till she comes next week. The best $35 I spend! Thanks Linda!!!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
