“I thought Maellen was terrific. A few days before our cruise, Lili, our corgi had to be fitted with "the cone of shame" for a skin condition. I contacted Maellen to see if this would create a problem and offered to find another sitter but Maellen said it would be fine. She treated the skin condition twice a day took excellent care of Lili for the 7 day cruise. Lili obviously had a great time and was in excellent condition. She did not seem to be in a big hurry to leave so I know she liked it. THANK YOU, MAELLEN.”

“Thank you Brian, for taking such great care of our dog. We would recommend you to anyone in need of boarding their dog. We look forward to using your services in the future.”

“Cecilia was an excellent last minute sitter for my dog for the weekend. She was communicative and provided lots of photo updates each day. I know he was loved and cared for in my absence.”

“Brandi was amazing! She accepted our same day request and was great at communicating and keeping us updated. Our mind was put at ease knowing they were in such great care. Would definitely book either Brandi again!”

“Rosalia cared for our dog Winnie for 3 weeks while we took a dream vacation. It was pretty hard for us to feel good about leaving Winnie for so long, but Rosalia made it easy with daily updates. It was clear to us that Winnie was having a great time, which enabled us to have a good time on our trip. Thanks Rosalia!”

“Bonnie is amazing! Charlie loves her and is excited to go stay with her. She takes care with all the dogs she watches and she is also quick to respond to me. I'd recommend to anyone. Our dog is in good hands with her.”

“Lisa was wonderful with our cat, Jason. She was kind and gentle, kept us updated the whole time we were away, and made sure he got plenty of snuggles. She also cleaned up after him and left his things tidy. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in her care. Highly recommend!”

“Shell and her family took in my persnickety old pooch with open arms. Our Meet and Greet went well and I felt confident in her professionalism. My feelings were spot on, as I received text updates and photos of him enjoying the good life at Shells. When we arrived to pick him up, he was so busy being part of the family he almost didn't recognize us! That was a great sign and made me know he was in top shape. He came home happy and well rested. He never showed the least bit of stress that is always displayed after boarding episodes at kennels - no matter how attentive or nice they were. Her house and yard are beautiful, clean, tranquil and inviting; it's a wonderful HOME. A safe environment for "sensitive" dogs. I've already told everyone I know with a dog about Dog VaCay and Shell, and what a great concept and home we found in both.”
“My dog has never been happier staying with someone. The entire experience increased her ability to socialize with dogs and people so much so that she's been calmer and more confident after the stay.”

“Jamie and Patrick were awesome. Easy to communicate with and very responsive. This was my dogs first stay away from us and they were understanding of that. Trustworthy, friendly and caring. I would definitely use them again.”

“Josie, Peter & Paco treated my pup so well while I was out of town! They were super flexible and made my dog feel right at home- I’ve really never seen him so comfortable in someone else’s space! I got plenty of updates and my dog is tuckered out from all of his playtime. Definitely will be booking with them again next time we are out of town, so glad to have found them through Rover.”
“Moosie had a great stay with Mike! I appreciated the photos and videos throughout the day. Very communicative and professional. I highly recommend Mike! THANK YOU, Mike!”

About: I've cared for my friends' pets for over 10 years, both in my own home and doing home visits. I currently have two dogs, one of whom is a special needs chihuahua. I'm comfortable with administering medication, various special needs, and senior dogs. I work from home and have very flexible hours. Whether you decide to board your pet or have me do home visits, I look forward to caring for your pet as you would. I have a fenced in yard that's completely secure. Because I work from home, I'm with my own dogs most of the day. If you decide to board your pet with us they will get more than plenty of social time as well as time with me.

Crystal is so conscientious and ensures your dog’s well being, safety, and happiness when your pups stay with her! She’s become a regular sitter for us and we feel so lucky!”

“Great people to take care of your dog. She sent me pictures on a daily basis so I could see that Ivy was enjoying herself. I intend to use her in the future. Thank you Victoria”

“Liz was so great caring for our dog for 4 days! She was responsive, sent me lots of pictures and details about his day and genuinely seemed to care and love him. I will definitely use her again if we need a pet sitter”

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
