“Melissa and Dan were absolutely wonderful with my dog, Princess Leia. She’s a small terrier and very much a COVID puppy, so she hasn’t had a lot of exposure to other dogs. I was a bit nervous about leaving her while I went out of town for my 50th high school reunion, but Melissa and Dan put me at ease right away. From the start, my plan was to have Leia stay with them for two nights, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. They have a lovely fenced yard and several dogs of their own, which created the perfect environment for Leia to safely and gradually get used to being around other dogs. Dan works from home, so I knew she was getting plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. They kept me updated with several photos and messages showing how Leia was doing, which I really appreciated. It was clear that she was settling in well and getting comfortable in their home and with their dogs. When I picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and seemed to have genuinely enjoyed her little “vacation.” I highly recommend Melissa and Dan for dog sitting. They truly love dogs, understand dog behavior, and provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment. I would not hesitate to book with them again.”

About: Lifelong animal lover. I have a miniature Australian Shepherd named Cocoa who is almost 4. She is the sweetest girl who loves to play. Also have experience with anxious/nervous dogs as Cocoa is pretty anxious herself! I work full time during the week however I am fully home in the evenings from 4pm on! Since I work during the week ideally drop off times for boarding would be 4pm on. Weekends I am always home and they would have around the clock care for both daycare and boarding! Also if you book with enough notice, there is a good chance I can request time off to be home for full supervision during the week! I have a fenced yard and my apartment is a pretty large size for them to roam/play! There is also a dog park in my apartment community if they have extra energy to burn off! I can accommodate whatever is needed as far as crating at night or gating off sections of the home. However, I am more than happy to let them be anywhere they feel comfortable :)

“I left my two border collies with Jessica for the first time and it was a great experience. They came home happy dogs and she was great about sending pictures and letting me know how they were doing without even asking. Her house is extremely clean and I will be using her again the next time I go away! This was a great experience. I have never left my dogs with someone I didn’t know and I had a great comfort level when I left them with Jessica. Thank you so much Jessica!!! What a great experience!!! I highly recommend her if you need a place for your pups when you go away !!”

About: As a kid and into my teen years, I raised roughly 7 Seeing Eye Dogs for the blind. We had each dog for the first year of their lives before they went on to do amazing work. Even as a kid I was to-go to person for tips and tricks for the adults. I have always absolutely loved dogs. They’re an amazing part of my life, always will be. I absolutely love spending time with dogs and puppies. I enjoy the flexibility that comes with this scheduling. I also enjoy that I get to spend time with new dogs throughout the week. I will always treat your dog or puppy as I would treat my own. With all the love in the world and give them everything that they need want or required. My goal is a happy puppy. Happy puppy means happy owners. And that means everybody’s happy.

About: I’ve been taking care of my special-needs pup, Dottie, for 8 years. She’s on a strict diet and takes meds too, so I’m good with following precise instructions. I have a loving and serene home where Dottie and I can welcome your pup. I work from home on Fridays, so I am available for boarding for long weekends. We could coordinate a Thursday evening drop-off if need be. On the weekends, I go to a pilates class and run errands, but am otherwise around as company for the dogs. My yard is only partially fenced, so I will be taking the dogs on leashed walks. Dottie sleeps in bed with me, so it’s okay if your pup needs to as well. If your dog is crate-trained, that is okay too.
