“Taylynn was excellent! She had great communication, very obviously cares about doing a good job, showed up on time and was very pleasant during all our interactions. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a pet sitter.”

About: I've been taking care of my own dogs, horses, cats, you name it, my whole life! I now have 2 precious golden retrievers who I'm obsessed with and would love to make a little extra money taking care of yours anytime! Hey families! I'm currently a nursing student and work full-time at a hospital, but I'm looking to make a little extra cash on my days off! I care for every pet as if they were my own by providing a safe, calm, and loving environment in both my home and my client’s home. I always follow the pet’s regular routine, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, and any special instructions.
“We booked Erika about four months in advance and had a wonderful meet and greet before the stay, which immediately put us at ease. She was incredibly thorough and even asked for a written document outlining everything about our home and our dogs’ care, then followed it all to a T. Our dogs were so clearly loved and well cared for. They were played with, cuddled, and happy the entire time. Erika went above and beyond by bathing them before we came home, which we never even asked her to do. She kept the house spotless, and we never requested that she clean, but it honestly looked like no one had been here. She sent daily pictures and videos, kept us updated on how potty training was going, and even took the time to clean Olive’s eyes, which is not always an easy task. It was obvious how attentive and thoughtful she was with both Miles and Olive, and they absolutely adored her. We felt completely at ease knowing our dogs and home were in such good hands. We would absolutely rebook with Erika and plan to do so. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional sitter.”

About: Growing up at a dairy farm, I was always surrounded by all kinds of animals. Horses, cows, dogs, etc. I had a love for them all. But it wasn’t until I had my first dog on my own inside the house that I totally understand just how much I really love dogs. I work every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All nights. So Monday through Friday I have lots of spare time. From 7 AM Monday until 7 AM on Friday. I do not have a fenced in backyard. So keeping them on the leash is my number one priority. From getting out of the house and into the car. Because I do a lot of hiking with Bella. I also have a good size first aid kit.
About: I've had dogs since I can remember. My fiancé watched dogs in the past with rover and I would always help. Take the dogs to the park on my days off, play outside, and train them when needed. I am currently on veterans disability so I can focus my whole day to your furry friend. No worry about being stuck in all day. I have 5 acres of yard for them to play on. I have lots of space if needed, room for crates, room outside. Plenty of space so your furry friend won't feel trapped. My animals mind their own.
About: I have had pet experience since the age of 16. I have worked at a dog daycare for 1 year. I know how to handle lots of different types of dog breeds. I’m currently a full-time student at East Carolina University. I am available to walk dogs or house-sit for dogs and cats! I love an animal lover! If I come to the clients home, I will play with your pet 24/7 , feed and be let out. I keep things very organized and I am a rule follower.
“Ada stayed overnight at my house with Bailey. She did an excellent job. Bailey loved her. She walked Bailey in the neighborhood and cuddled with her...No wonder Bailey loves her. She also left my house very nice and clean after staying there for 5 days. I will definitely call her again when Bailey needs a sitter.”

“Zach and Logan did a great job with the pups over the wkend. They were helpful not only with them, but caring for my chickens and hanging baskets while we were gone. I was a bit apprehensive about having someone I didn't know stay in my home but they made it easy and are very trustworthy. They are good communicators and kept me informed throughout their stay on how the pups were doing. Highly recommend them. Definitely will call upon them in the future.”

“Hannah was a wonderful and caring pet sitter/house sitter. We have a much older dog that requires some medical needs and Hannah put us at ease that he would be cared for while we were away. Hannah communicated multiple times a day, sent pictures and asked questions if she was concerned about our dog's behavior. Hannah was very respectful of our home while she stayed. We were able to enjoy time away thanks to Hannah's care of our dog. We will definitely rebook with Hannah!”

About: Friendly sitter with experience with senior pups, cats and chickens. I currently have two wonderful dogs and a handful of chickens. One of our dogs is what we believe is a Foxhound and the other is a Shepherd mix. Both are rescues so we are not sure. I also have experience with cats, parrots (green crowned conure) and various farm animals. Update: I no longer work from home. I am now in Richmond M-F, 8-5. I am happy to stop by during my lunch break to check on your babies in the city. Any other surrounding areas would have to be weekends and not during work hours. Apologies for any inconvenience! I am happy to stop by your home and care for your pets. One of my pups is reactive and we do not want to make her (or your baby) uncomfortable by bringing other pets into our space.
“Helena was absolutely AMAZING!!! This was our first time using Rover and the first time we left our dog overnight. She sent us pictures and updates throughout the time we were gone, showing just how relaxed and happy our dog was in her care. When he whined about sleeping in his crate, she kindly let him share the bed with her (with our approval, of course!). He even seemed disappointed when we came home 😉. We cannot recommend Helena more highly!!”

About: I’ve taken dog-sat for many families in the past. I’ve watched as few as one dog and have watched 4 dogs at one time! I love animals and am very passionate about learning their behaviors and caring for them. I work full time but would be able to take care of the animals morning and evenings. I am off weekends and would spend time with them every day. I like to take dogs on walks if they’re able to and love giving them snuggles. I would make sure they get fed and taken out to the bathroom.
“We highly recommend Riley. Our little Calli Has some anxiety issues, but she seemed to relax and accept Riley easily. She was in excellent spirits when we returned home, and was well cared for. Riley’s knowledge of pets and her love of them is obvious.”

About: I’ve been helping people take care of animals since I was 10. I had a dog who gave birth to ten puppies and I was always there to help the family out. I’m currently working part time so I will have plenty of time for all of your pups. I get off at 4 some days but am available after that time. I snake sure that there isn’t anything your animals can choke on. I let them outside every hour or whenever they act like they need to have a break.

About: Hi! My husband and I own a farm in Amelia, VA with horses, sheep, chickens, and our cats and dogs. I have two rescue dogs of my own and am a complete animal lover. I work in the agriculture sector with a flexible schedule and my husband works from home full time. My schedule allows me to be home with your pets as often as they need. I have been house sitting for over 15 years and absolutely love being able to love other people’s pets like my own! My house also has a fenced in yard, and is great if your pets want to come stay with me as well. I have experience with dogs, cats, most exotic pets, horses, and any barnyard animal you could think of. We are also very experienced in senior care, and often foster for our local shelter so are used to a lot of different behaviors and dog personalities. I am available for pet sitting and farm sitting. I am looking forward to hearing from you! I have a flexible work schedule and my office is less than a mile from my home, so I can stop in often. My husband is also very experienced in animal care and works from home full time. Our dogs spend most of their day snoozing with my husband while he works. They go on 3-4 walks per day and have a fenced yard to run around. Guest dogs are treated like our own! Drop in clients can expect their dogs to be loved on and cared for as desired for 30-60 minutes per drop in.
About: I have helped take care of our family dog since we first adopted him when I was in 3rd grade. I was in charge of feeding him and taking him out to use the bathroom at night. I love all dogs and can quickly form connections with them. I also have experience caring for farm animals such as goats and horses, so I have a wide variety of skill sets that could apply to various animals. I am very passionate and empathetic about any animal's well-being and will do my utmost best to care for them! Currently, I am home for the summer from college so my schedule is very flexible. I am looking into some part time jobs, however, so that flexibility may be subject to change. Depending on whatever instructions I am left with, I will do my best to follow them to the letter! I also consider myself to be very observant so I will constantly be on the lookout for signs that your pet needs something.
About: Hi! I'm Heather — a lifelong animal lover who has rarely spent a single day without a dog by my side. I've been caring for dogs my entire life and currently share my home with four dogs of my own — a 9lb Chihuahua, a 9lb Yorkie-Chi mix, a 50lb Lab mix, and a 75lb Red Retriever — plus a cat and some fish. Safe to say animals are my life! After losing a beloved dog who was poorly cared for at a kennel, I became passionate about providing the kind of attentive, loving care that every pet deserves. I know how much trust it takes to hand your fur baby to someone else — and I take that seriously. I'm available for drop in visits, dog walks, and house sitting. I'm comfortable with all sizes and breeds and happy to accommodate cats too. I'll always follow your specific instructions and send plenty of photos so you never have to wonder how your baby is doing. Your pet isn't just a booking to me — they're family. 💙 Pet care isn't something I fit into my routine — it IS my routine. I'm home all day with four dogs of my own, so visiting or caring for your pet fits naturally into my day. I'm available mornings, afternoons and evenings and can be flexible around your schedule. Your pet will never feel like an afterthought — they'll get my full attention during every visit. When I visit your home I treat it with the same respect and care I would want someone to show mine. I follow your instructions exactly — feeding schedules, medications, special routines, off-limit areas — nothing is too detailed. I grew up understanding that pets are family members, not just animals, and that the trust you place in someone entering your home is significant. I take that seriously every single time. You'll always receive photos and updates during every visit so you know your baby is happy and well cared for.

“Tina was wonderful with our puppy. He had never had a pet sitter before, and she took excellent and loving care of him, with lots of play time, exercise, and even some training. He even cried when she left! We will definitely ask her to take care of him again.”

About: I know how to take care of animals with disabilities, my cat that I grew up with is blind and I took care of him until he passed away. I grew up around dogs and cats, my mom currently has two chihuahua mixes that I have taught some basic commands to. I also have a cat named Keke and she’s 3 years old. I can work around my schedule, I currently have a job working at cvs and am willing to move around my schedule to whatever fits best! I have a dog with anxiety and I know how to calm dogs down when they are stressed out about something and distract them away from the problem.
