About: I’ve been caring for pets informally for my entire life and professionally starting 12 years ago. I care for each pet like they are my own. I am sensitive to their energy and needs. I am able to work with animals who have unique social/emotional and medical needs. I mainly work with dogs and cats but am also experienced in caring for small animals like rabbits, birds, reptiles and fish. I’m currently working part-time, and my schedule varies a bit week to week. I am free mornings and evenings, most Thursdays, as well as Mondays after 2 pm. I usually work shifts under 8 hours, so with good communication I would be thrilled to come up with a plan that will suit you and your pet(s). For now, I am able to care for and board cats and small animals in my home. In the summer, I can board dogs in my fenced in yard. I've often had people reach back out to me to sit for them again. I love to follow your instructions as closely as possible to help out your animals with the stress of owner absence. I find it important to take time to play with and sit with animals. I'm familiar with giving pets medication, whether through pill pockets, food, or other methods. If your kitties are particular about litter cleaning, I am happy to provide that more frequently as well. I work with energy and empathy in my other jobs, so I am able to bring a calm presence for animals and pay attention to their energy when caring for them. I value consent-based interaction, so I allow animals to warm up to me before petting them. I have flexible work, so I can arrange to stay with your pets or drop in at your convenience. About: I’ve had pets since I was about 4 years old, and am experienced with caring for cats and dogs. Any needs they have, I will take care of them all - from simple company when you're at work, to walks, giving meds and overnight stays! I have experience training puppies too, from potty training to the classic "stay", "sit", "come", "leave" etc. commands. I have a large dog myself so size of your pet is no issue. Anything you're unsure about, shoot me a message! I work full time at a school but am free weekdays after 2pm until around 10pm. On weekends I am free from Friday afternoon until Monday morning so I can do overnight stays too if needed. Depending on the care required, I will feed pets, give them meds, take them outside, play games/fetch/etc., brush them, empty litter boxes and so on. I have had several cats and dogs of my own and cared for many more, so I am comfortable with adjusting to their different personality types.
