“Cathryn is wonderful! She took amazing care of our dog Lucy who is highly energetic. She kept us updated with pictures each day and was accommodating when things popped up. This was our first time using rover after changing dog sitters and I’m so thankful we found her!”

“Carrie was incredibly reliable and maintained great communication, regular updates and photos that put me completely at ease while I was away. My pets were clearly happy and relaxed with her. Thank you for providing such excellent care for my furry babies!! I would absolutely recommend her.”

“Andra was absolutely exceptional. Wonderful communication, friendly and kind, and a true animal lover. Knowing she was at home with my two senior dogs for the week put me at complete ease.”

“Day was absolutely wonderful with my two pups! (And even my betta fish) They were extremely well taken care of and it was clear that they truly enjoyed having Day stay with them while I was out of town. Day went above and beyond in their care, AND the care of my home/patio plants as when I left town, the area was hit with about 5 days of bad storms! Day took my patio plants off their stands so they wouldn’t blow over and then placed them back. 100% hope to have Day house/dog sit for us again in the future. Thank you!”

“Roni was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend her. I have 2 large dobermans and she disciplined, cared and loved on them with ease. She is brilliant! She was constantly in contact with me sending images etc and she is a wonderful person.”

“Laura was great! She sent me regular updates and pictures of Cash, my greyhound. He was very happy and content when I got home from my trip. I will definitely have Laura come and stay with him again!”

“Parker absolutely loved her! Sent photos of my pup to me throughout her visits and went above and beyond! Thank you for helping me out so last minute I APPRECIATE YOU!”

“Stephanie took great care of Mac while she was house sitting! She took him on daily walks, sent daily updates, and was respectful of our home. I would use Stephanie again in the future!”

“Lesly did an awesome job taking care of our pups. She sent us pics so we could see them. I would absolutely recommend Lesly if you need a great dog sitter. She is very sweet and kind. ❤️❤️”

“Willow did a great job watching our 14 year old cockapoo the two days while we were out golfing. Very reliable and professional. Great communication. Highly recommend and will be using her help again on our next trip to Amelia Island.”

About: Petcare is not just a job but a privilege for me. I will treat your fur babies as my own! I have loved animals all my life, have had many of my own over the years, and have been actively pet sitting for friends and clients across Jax for the past four years. I've watched pets with special dietary restrictions and have experience administering medicine/supplements to them. I've cared for both senior animals and young puppies. I'm active and can take dogs on extended walks and am happy to even take them on my favorite hiking trails around Jax if they're up for it. I'm retired so I have a very flexible schedule to give your pets plenty of attention, bathroom breaks, walks, or whatever else they need. I make sure to closely follow each owner's care instructions and try to keep your pet's regular routine to make them as comfortable as possible in your absence. I'm also happy to accommodate any idiosyncrasies or peculiar needs they may have (I have held umbrellas for dogs sensitive to the sun but love their time outside). I will treat your home with the utmost respect and am happy to water plants, take out trash, or do any other tasks that would be helpful while you're away. I create a safe, calm, and loving environment by supervising all pets closely, keeping spaces clean and secure, and following each owner’s care instructions to make sure every pet feels comfortable and protected.
About: Your pet(s) will be treated and cared for like family, and the environment is calming, secure, and quiet to assist with comfort and boarding stay. I'm currently part-time; however, I can make adjustments as necessary and can board daily and on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. We can discuss the details of the care for your fur baby at the meet and greet. Have a fenced-in yard at home with a security system. Located around animal treatment/medical facilities. I have a 5-year-old German Shepherd who is calm and well-trained.
About: I have always had cats in dogs, and I feel like especially dogs are great for humans to have around. Over the years I have had 4 dogs, 5 cats part of our family...and one bearded dragon. I used to care for 2 different sets of 3 dogs weekly from the time I was 9 until I was 19. One set of dogs also had pond fish and a cat to take care of. I have had my dog for 11 years, she is a rescue from Puerto Rico. I trim my dogs nails, brush her teeth and do other grooming all myself. I have trained maybe a dozen puppies, but have not worked in a veterinarian's office. I have cared for horses and exotic birds on a bird ranch before, although the dogs on the farm were my main focus. I'm up early with my dog, and then off to various parts of Oregon or Florida to work. I make my own schedule and need more dogs in my life, so Rover helps facilitate that need. I follow instructions, and otherwise just try to be your pet's friend while keeping things clean. I like to sit with animals or interact in a way where they get to know me, and offer my attention if they want it. Walks are big for me, but yard play is more appropriate for some dogs. I try to find something the pet and myself can bond over, that way they aren't as nervous when their human is absent. I like to make nicknames for pets too, and talk to them with baby talk when it's just myself and the animals.
About: What sets me apart from many sitters is my lifelong experience with animals and my ability to genuinely connect with them quickly — especially pets who may be anxious, shy, older, highly attached to their owners, or simply used to lots of companionship and attention. Over the years, I’ve helped care for foster litters of puppies and kittens requiring around-the-clock feeding, monitoring, and weight tracking alongside my best friend, who is a veterinarian. I also have veterinary technician and shelter experience, along with hands-on experience caring for senior pets, administering medications, reinforcing basic puppy training, and supporting animals with special routines, anxieties, or medical needs. I’m currently working with one of my own dogs in service dog training, and I’m also a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who previously worked with pre-K children with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Both experiences have strengthened my understanding of behavioral reinforcement, nonverbal communication, patience, routine, trust-building, and adapting to different personalities and emotional needs. In many ways, both children and animals communicate heavily through energy, body language, consistency, and feeling emotionally safe, and I’ve found those skills help me connect especially well with animals of all temperaments. I’m also an avid walker and love spending time outdoors, taking long walks through the beautiful Riverside and Avondale neighborhoods, local parks, and nearby green spaces — especially when the weather cools down a bit. For more active dogs, I genuinely enjoy playtime, walks, fetch, and engagement throughout the day, while calmer pets usually find me just as happy to provide cuddles, companionship, and a peaceful environment. Because I operate my design company remotely and on my own schedule, I’m often able to spend extended time in the home providing companionship, supervision, structure, affection, and a calming presence throughout the day and overnight — not just quick drop-ins. I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and creating an environment where they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and relaxed while their owners are away. Because I own and operate my own boutique design firm, my schedule is highly flexible and allows me to work remotely from anywhere with a reliable internet connection. I’m also involved in tween mentorship and creative consulting, both of which I manage on my own schedule, making it easy for me to prioritize the needs and routines of the pets in my care. I’m naturally both an early riser and a night owl, so I’m available for early morning feedings and walks, late-night potty breaks, overnight companionship, medication schedules, and pets who simply feel more secure having someone nearby throughout the day and evening. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy the companionship, structure, and calm presence animals bring. Whether I’m working quietly from my laptop while keeping your pet company, taking breaks for walks and playtime, or providing attentive overnight care, I’m able to give pets far more presence and consistency than many traditional sitters with rigid work schedules. Safety, trust, and creating a calm environment are extremely important to me, whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. I have two friendly small dogs and cats of my own, so pets staying in my home should be comfortable around other animals and able to coexist peacefully. Our pets are very much part of the family and are welcome on furniture and beds, so I aim to create a relaxed, loving, home-like environment rather than a kennel atmosphere. I understand that every pet has different comfort levels, routines, and boundaries, and I take introductions, feeding, supervision, and transitions seriously to help everyone feel safe and comfortable. If a pet prefers to be crated or separated at times, I’m happy to accommodate those needs as well. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m highly respectful of routines, security, cleanliness, and household expectations. As a longtime homeowner and business owner myself, I understand the level of trust involved when someone gives access to both their beloved pets and their home. I’m conscientious about alarms, locked doors, medications, feeding schedules, potty routines, cleanliness, and communication. Because I work remotely from home in the Avondale area, I’m also able to provide a high level of flexibility, supervision, companionship, and overnight presence for pets who are used to having someone nearby throughout the day.
About: I’ve been loving on our four legged friends since I can remember! Family, friends, and neighbors have trusted their loved ones in my care since I was a kid and now I have my own four legged friend who I love with my entire heart! It’s true when they say, “Pets are family!” I’ve kept schedules of walks, medicine administration to all ages, play time, snuggle time, had many sleepovers in the owners home to having their loved one stay with me in my home; and yes even reading a bedtime story to a furry friend! I always enjoy taking pictures of your loved one so you can put your mind at ease knowing they are in great hands! Let me love your loved one like he/she is my own family! I currently have a very wide open schedule! Therefore, I have a lot of time for your loved one! Any day, time, or place I’ll be there! Send ‘Rover’ over! With my past dogs, I would care for them daily. I woke up to snuggles and kisses and often times, I'd go walk the dogs before I even went to the bathroom lol. They were my best friends! We loved to play, go for walks, or at times I'd even tell them stories like they knew what I was talking about haha. Dogs are like children. I wouldn't treat your dog any differently than mine, which means they would be treated as family!!
About: I've been taking care of pets ever since I was physically able to. From cats to dogs and all sorts of other pets. I've pet sit other people's dogs and cats before and done plenty of walking and house visits. I'm currently not working and going to school but with winter break I have plenty of free time to take care of any pet any time. I have a tall wooden fenced yard with plenty of bowls and toy. Multiple spare crates for pups of all sizes and plenty of cleaning supplies for any mess they might make.
About: Dogs are also family wouldn't you say they deserve the best care from the best dog caregiver!? With me your fur baby will receive attention through play time, be given time to run and play and have the love and care to continue to thrive. The Services I do provide are feeding, walks to keep your fur baby happy and healthy, fun time to keep them stimulated, to continue to build on their social skills and so they can routinely be working on their bonding with family, new faces and other dogs. Dogs are constantly growing and learning so the proper sitter is needed. My schedule is flexible, so it’s allows me to be available for any type of service that may come up. Around Special events and holidays I have more time to play with your fur baby and be more active. Making sure your dog is secure in my home or yours is my first priority. Because dogs are just like babies they can get into things so double checking doors and Gates is a must.
About: I have been dog walking, sitting, and house sitting for over 8 years! I have a 3 year old golden retriever as well as a 6 year old cat, so I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes and ages! I am lucky enough to work from home and have a very flexible schedule so I get to play with my own pups and hopefully yours too! I am happy to feed, bathe, play with, and crate train your doggo per your preferences! I do not provide boarding in my own home, but am happy to come to you!

About: I treat every pet like they’re my own—spoiled, snuggled, and spoken to like a tiny furry human. I have experience with senior pets (slow walks and meds? No problem), energetic puppies (zoomies encouraged), and everything in between. Whether your dog needs extra patience, your cat prefers a quiet companion, or your goldfish just needs someone to not forget about them—I’ve got it covered. Bonus: I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and always down for sending cute photo updates. Because let’s be honest, you do want to see 17 pictures of your dog sleeping. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. Like your pup, I also need multiple walks a day- I don't love spending a lot of time inside. So I take breaks by going for walks! We also love to relax and unwind, only really love a good happy hour and to be in bed by 9. Whether I’m caring for pets in your home or mine, I stick to their normal routine as much as possible—meals, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and snuggles all on their schedule. I take the time to learn your pet’s quirks, preferences, and energy level so they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I’m neat, respectful, and always leave your home the way I found it. In my home, pets have cozy spots to relax, plenty of playtime, and of course—constant supervision, belly rubs, and photo updates. Basically, I become your pet’s temporary best friend. ❤️
About: I joined Rover last month with the goal of providing exceptional care and service to each pet that I encounter. I hope by proving excellent services to establish a strong client base. Doing so will be a challenge with so many wonderful pet sitters, but I know it is possible! As a child, my family and I always had dogs and cats. As an adult, I continue to have a passion for all animals. This passion drove me to become very active board member of an animal rescue, The London Sanctuary. The London Sanctuary is a local hound rescue based in Jacksonville, for over 10 years. There is a 20% off the first booking promotions to any new clients. I currently working at compounding pet pharmacy. Pet care seamlessly integrates into daily and weekly routines by creating a structured framework that benefits both the pet and the owner. I would be staying at your house. I believe this helps your pets feel more comfortable in their daily routines that are already established. 🐾

Stephanie continues to be such an amazing resource for my family and the most attentive pet sitter! I have no fear traveling internationally knowing my pup is in such amazing hands! She always goes above and beyond and has stellar communication. Would be lost without her and would recommend to anyone looking for pet services. I have her stay in my home each time and can not recommend her enough!!

Absolutely adore Hailey! From the moment we connected, I felt completely at ease. Hailey’s communication was fantastic, and the frequent updates and photos meant the world to me while I was away. She followed every instruction exactly as requested and went above and beyond to make sure my pets were happy, comfortable, and loved. What impressed me most was how quickly Hailey connected with and cared for my pets as if they were her own. It’s rare to find someone who is not only reliable and professional, but also genuinely invested in your pets’ well-being. I came home to happy pets and complete peace of mind. Words honestly cannot express how grateful I am for Hailey and her services-I would trust her again without hesitation and highly recommend Hailey to anyone looking for an outstanding pet sitter!

Kira is amazing. Our fur babies and daughters lizards were well looked after. She did us the honor of updating us with pictures of them the whole time she came back to the house from work. We had her stay at our home with them. Kira treated them so well, they seemed happy and calm when we returned and that was amazing for us as both our fur babies have separation anxiety. Yes a million times I would recommend her to look after your fur babies. We look forward to having you look after Kili and Manjaro again in the future. Thank you Kira.

I really appreciate Alexis‘s patience and grace, while dealing with my energetic and rambunctious puppy. I was very anxious about leaving her as this was my first time away from her since I got her in November. Alexis was gracious and communicated with me often. I’d definitely use her again if she will have us. 😂

This was our first house sitting with Rover and Nathan. Nathan always responded quickly in the app. He sent pictures while we were away. He played with Sadie and took good care of our property too. Will definitely use Nathan again. Sadie was very relaxed and happy when we returned home!

Victoria was awesome. She sent updates and photos of our furry little loved ones. She walked our dog way more than we normally do! Very easy process. We feel very comfortable with her, watching our animals again and will definitely be using her in the future.

Not only is he incredibly reliable and kind, but he also went above and beyond by taking out my trash cans while I was away — such a thoughtful gesture. It’s rare to find someone so dependable and genuinely caring. Highly recommend him to anyone needing a great dog sitter!

We were out of the country for two weeks and very anxious about leaving our pets, especially our old dog who is having a lot of mobility and incontinence issues. We knew from previous trips (and other old dogs) that Layda would take excellent care and be able to handle any curve balls that Aster might throw her way. Layda cares for our pets like her own and we felt much more confident on this trip knowing that she was here with them.
