About: I have been pet sitting for 3 years now and want to make a future out of it. Any experience helps me ensure that my veterinary technician career pathway is tangible! I am completely free in availability- although I may be busy during the day doing my volunteering at my local cat clinic! The key is giving them time to warm up to a new environment, routine care and lots of affection. My own dog turns 15 this year and people still ask me if she is a puppy because of how active and happy she is around others. I always treat every animal as if they are my own and would be honored to do so for your pet too. I spend the majority of my time at home, hanging out in the backyard and have a pretty flexible schedule. We’d go outside at least 5-10 times a day, always early in the morning and right before bed. I have a fenced yard on over an acre of land and lots of non-harmful plants that my dogs loves to sniff around. When the dogs are outside I will be right there with them enjoying the afternoon.

About: I have my own 1.5yr old husky/blue heeler, he's my best bud. Before him I adopted a senior lab & loved her through her end of life care. About: I've had dogs and cats my entire life! I honestly cannot remember there ever being a time I haven't had pets to care for and love on. My family currently has a Maltese mix, a Chihuahua, and two kitties who are 12 year old brothers. Our Chihuahua was recently diagnosed with Addisons Disease so I am currently learning how to help him live his best little life with his new diagnosis. About: I’ve grown up with at least one pet in the house. In the past I’ve watched over dogs with lots of medical care and also puppies as well. Im currently working a part-time job so i have lots of free time. My hours are all over the place sometimes, however i never work past 6pm I will treat them like on of my own. About: I’ve grown up around dogs, mostly Pit Bulls, and have always been comfortable caring for and being around them. I also cared for my own dog for over a year after getting her when she was around 6 months old. She had a difficult past and had already had puppies at a very young age, so she needed extra patience, trust, and consistency. I worked with her and taught her basic commands, and she became very responsive to me. I’m currently available for pet care any day and at flexible times throughout the week. Starting August 31, I’ll be attending school Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Outside of those hours, I’ll still have plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, sitting, and other pet care needs. My school schedule is consistent each day, so I’m able to plan my availability reliably around it. I treat every pet in my care like they are my own. I want them to feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owner is away. I make sure they are fed on their normal schedule, have fresh water, get their walks and exercise, and have plenty of playtime and attention. I also enjoy playing with their favorite toys and getting to know their personality and routine. I understand that some pets may take a little time to warm up to someone new, so I’m patient and let them get comfortable with me at their own pace.
About: I'm back! After an injury sidelined me for a bit, I am back to it and better than ever! Let me reintroduce myself... I come from a long line of pet lovers, pet caregivers and guardians. My dad bred Collies most of my life, so we always had animals around to balance and enhance our lives. I grew up a military brat and later joined the military myself and because of this, our community was always in need of reliable, caring and attentive pet sitters as their owners were off taking care of business and the last thing they needed was to worry about their loved ones. I have even looked after some exotic animals to include snakes and lizards (not my fav to be honest), turtles, parrots, ferrets, a sugar baby, puffer fish, and tarantula, just to name a few that come to mind. Trust, acceptance, forgiveness, try to enjoy life and its surroundings, bring joy, don't sweat the small stuff, and to try and love unconditionally. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
