“Cheryl was wonderful! Came over to meet Boomer before the drop by visits & took notes and asked questions. It was my first time using Rover and she answered all of my questions and eased my worries. She sent pictures after each visit and was great with communication! Would definitely recommend and use again! Thanks again Cheryl!”

About: I am available for all types of doggy care. I’m a dog lover with two of my own. I have been dog sitting for around 8 years as well as worked with dogs of all types at Red Oak Country Kennels. I work from 2:30-5:30, but other than that I can be there at any hour to care for your pup and provide whatever is needed. I have a fenced in yard and two dogs of my own, as well as two cats. I can keep in a crate if needed, and will adapt to any preferences you have for your pup.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have over 10 years of experience caring for them. I understand that every dog has a unique personality, and I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’ve always had pets, so caring for animals is already a part of my daily life. I have a flexible schedule and enjoy making time for walks, playtime, feeding, and giving pets the attention they deserve. I make sure pets are well cared for by maintaining their normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of attention. I have a fenced area at my home where dogs can safely play and get exercise. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my goal is to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away.

“Ashley is incredible! I have used her several times to check in on my diabetic dog. She is so good with her and I don’t have to worry about her getting her insulin while I’m away. I love the pictures she sends and she is always quick to respond. Highly recommend!”

About: I've taken care of large and small animals all my life, I grew up taking care of my aunt's horses with her, and I've pet sat and house sat for the past couple of years and have been very successful. I am no longer a college student so my schedule is way more open! I love all animals small or large! I am currently looking for a part-time job, I will always be available on the weekends and I should be available in the mornings and late mornings almost every day. I have a big fenced-in backyard, and I own two friendly dogs and an indoor-outdoor cat that stays away from most people and other dogs who come to visit so there is no worry about him if you're worried about your animal around cats.
“Lydia checked on my puppy, Maggie, twice during the evening. Maggie seemed content when I got home. Lydia's daughter played with Maggie, which was great for socialization. I would recommend Lydia and will use her services again.”

About: I have been around dogs literally my whole life. I don't remember a time since I was born that I didn't have a dog. From sleeping on our pit bull as a toddler to rescuing a shelter baby to keep me company at college dogs have been an amazing part of my story. I'd even like to think that because of my fur babies I was more prepared to taken on the new journey of becoming a parent of an amazing little girl. Because of these experiences, I have learned many things about not only catering to a variety of personalities, but being creative in entertainment and time management. With these skills and all the added free time I have now that my daughter has started school I can assure you that not only will I be easily accessible for your needs, but I will make sure that you and your pet are sure to have a comfortable and enjoyable time using my services.

“Dallas was amazing... prompt responses, great communication, went above and beyond. Really put our mind to rest after having to leave our cat following a traumatic encounter with another cat.”

“Katlyn did a wonderful job with our babies. She was able to help us out on short notice, which was really appreciated. She seemed very knowledgeable about dealing with many different dog personalities and did really well dealing with Dakota, who is skittish around new people. I would definitely recommend Katlyn to watch your pets.”

About: For as long as I could remember I’ve been my family’s go-to pet sitter. Anytime my Grandmother had a doctors appointment or my Aunt and Uncle left town, I would be their first choice. I love animals and caring for them, making them comfortable when their families are gone is not an easy task but easing their anxiety and keeping them comfortable is a very rewarding job. I’ve worked with rover in the past when I was in high school and it was a great experience. I am currently working part time but my schedule is relatively flexible. As far as boarding goes there is and will always be someone at the house caring for the dogs 24/7. I have a large plot of land adjacent to my house for the puppies to play in. I currently have three very friendly small dogs who love to play and make friends.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for the past year throughout college. I’ve always loved animals and enjoy playing and taking them for walks! I currently work part time only for like 4 hours so I have plenty of time to take care of your pet throughout the day! I will always make sure the house is cleaned up and your pets are taken care of with anything you need done throughout the process of me working with them!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
