“Adalia did an awesome job with my two cats. I received rover report cards and pictures every day. On the last day Ellie had a digestive issue and Adalia cleaned it up even though I said I could do it the next day. Will definitely use her again if she is available.”

“Lauren did amazing with Major, he usually gets scared with people and won’t come out of his crate but she got him to go outside and potty! He also made a few messes but she cleaned it up and kept me updated on everything! I really appreciate her help and would recommend her help!”

“Amazing care for my cats! Cleaned up after them and changed everything that needed to be changed. Very attentive, professional and easy to work with! Will definitely be booking again, highly recommended!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life. I’ve worked at two animal shelters, socializing dogs, playing with them, feeding them on time, bathing them. I’ve owned four dogs, two of them recently passed and lived up to ages 16 and 12. I’ve lived with my cousin and her 4 large dogs with specific feeding needs and her 4 cats. The last shelter I worked at mostly had cats and kittens, some with special needs that I cared for. I’m not currently employed and have plenty of time in my schedule to give to an animal. I do not live alone, but still need to be home to help with my two. Nonetheless, I have lots of time on my hands right now. Any specific requirements they need, I will fulfill to my best abilities. Dogs and cats are weird creatures with weird specific needs sometimes. They have their ow personalities and likes and dislikes, so I understand. I can let them out for potty breaks, play with, and feed them. As long as there is a small list of instructions.

“Dons a lifesaver! New to the neighborhood with a pack of anxious pups and he responded right away to my inquiry, came out to meet them and a visit was set! Being Updated throughout the whole process made me feel at ease while away at work. Will definitely be re-booking and highly recommend.”

About: Librarian dog mom here! I have a huge love of all animals. I have had dogs off and on most of my life. The longest, however was with my soul dog, Wrinkles. He was adopted from a puppy mill around 2-4 months old and I raised him until he passed away from cancer in November of 2020. I now am co-parent to a rambunctious puppy I adopted in February of 2021 (who lives with grandpa), named Freckles. I am also co-parent to a sweet boy who is around 7-8 years old, that belongs to my partner and is named Max (or his official name of Sir Maximillian of the Beef and Bacon Foots). In February of 2025 we adopted our little mali-gator Beatrix "Goo Goo Muck". Bertie for short. She's something else. She is a year and some change old now and growing like a weed! I am a librarian/ archivist/information specialist but due to current health I have taken a sabbatical from work. I have a huge love of animals. I would absolutely love nothing more than to spend my free time, not only petting and playing with precious animals, but helping someone out by being able to leave their furbaby with someone trustworthy, reliable, and not out to break your wallet. I would love to schedule a time with you to come for a meet and greet and get to know your furbaby a little prior to the first housesitting or drop-in visit. Because my partner's dog is reactionary, I cannot host your furbabies at my place. However, I am available to house-sit for a few hours or overnights. Not only does it work best for me, I think it is best to keep your pet in their own home and maintain their own routine.
About: I have watch dogs for my friends for multiple years I used to live in a house that had 3dogs so I'm used to having a full house. If you do decide to stay with us we do have a dog of are own so your pet will not be lonely she is cat and dog friendly. She is very playful. My wife has experience watching, housing and designing diets for cats/dogs/ferrets. We currently take are dogs for walks down to beach or we like to go hiking the hills around Helendale. Me or my wife will be at the house the entire time your pet is staying with us. We hope you decide to stay with us if you do you wont regret it.

About: I have grown up with dogs for most of my life, I have helped raised 5 dogs in my family's home. I have learned to raise dogs since they were born. I've learned how to train them when I used to go to doggy training at petco. How to keep them active, how to play with them, relax with them, bathe them. I know such a good amount of knowledge and it still surprises me when I learn something new. I love and adore dogs. I am currently active duty, so my schedule usually ends with work off after 3 or 3:30pm. I am available weekends for whatever your animal needs. During the day when im at work my wife is a stay at home. So when I cant be their during my work hours shes my second pair of hands to help care and love your animal too. When I usually see my family and help care for the family pets, I love taking them to a park or a nice hike/walk. I think it's super important for dogs to be as active as possible (well at least untill they used up all their energy for the day) to make sure they get their bones and muscles moving to keep them healthy. Then a nice warm bath to make sure they stay clean and fresh. I usually like to spend at least a hour with redoing the tricks they have been taught. So it stays fresh in their memory and to make sure they aren't getting rusty on doing the trick. Then usually it's the end of the day, the dog had exceeded the energy for the day and it is now ready to relax. Anything you need help with for your animal can be taken care of. For my feline friends I have 2 cats of my own which are so gentle and loving towards other animals. I have never had a problem with them meeting a new animal. I live in a 2 story house so alot of room for your animal to walk around and feel safe
“Such an amazing pet sitter. So attentive to the needs of my four cats and so loving. Her communication was awesome and she left the house so clean. I would recommend her 💯!!!!! She was consistent and came at the same time each day, which helped her build a rapport with my cats and help create a routine for them.”

About: My family members have owned dogs, chickens, rabbits, and cats, so I’ve always had love for animals. I promise to follow whatever boundaries you have set for your pet, as well as make them feel as if you never even left while you enjoy your getaway. Love to play with animals, & I’ve found that they enjoy my company too. As of right now, I am unemployed, available whenever you need me, but that’s only for a limited time. I’m also available any time of day :). I will be working in your home, simply due to the fact that I live with people who allergic to certain animals. I usually feed my own pets on a schedule, but I am willing to work with whatever you provide. I can also bring toys for your pet! <3
About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life and have always loved them. I currently still have 2 of my own. I have helped take care of litters of our own puppies, and volunteered at my local animal shelter. I am confident that my knowledge and love for animals will help me take care of yours too! I am a busy stay at home mom with lots of littles, but I am usually home and able to provide my services when needed! I do my best to ensure all animals are comfortable and feel safe around me, wherever we are. I like to bond with them and earn their trust. Whether it’s a walk, or ensuring their comfort while you’re away, count on me!
About: I have had pets since I was very young. I currently have my loving Mia and she's been with me for 10 years. I will give your pets the love and attention they deserve while you're away! My pet sitting service offers personalized care, playtime, and cuddles to keep your furry friends happy and comfortable in the safety of their own home. Rest easy knowing your pets are in good hands! I do work during the week. I am an Instructional Aide for Silver Valley Unified School District. I work for one of the schools in Fort Irwin National Training Center. I can do drop-in visits during the week, but they would be after work. I have just moved to the area and I am looking to build a customer base. Whatever is normal routine for your dog! I think it’s important to maintain this balance for them while you’re away so they do not have added stress. It helps keep them feeling familiar and grounded in your absence, but I am always happy to add to that with new experiences and places. I do not have the capacity to allow clients animals into my home, yet am more than happy to travel to stay in someone’s house to care for their animals. Animals are generally more comfortable and confident in a space they are familiar with, and I am willing to travel to ensure your pet is cared for as best as possible.
“What a fantastic first-time experience. Afton was professional and personable, I could also tell that my pets were well taken care of during my time away. I was originally wary of letting someone into my home for so many days, but everything was just as I left it, and my pets were very happy. It was fantastic having someone local, and I would definitely recommend Afton to anyone looking for pet care in the High Dessert or wherever she may venture to in the future.”

About: Hi! I'm Emily. I own two Siamese- mixed cats named De Vil and Shadow. Throughout my life, I've taken care of a variety of pets such as dogs, cats, and chickens. My experience with these animals has given me the skills involved with handling all range of animals and ensure each and every pet is taken care of and nurtured. I am available from 6:00 am to 7:30pm, every day. I believe it's important to keep animals on a schedule, I make it a top priority to be punctual and organized. For a safe and fun adventure, I typically carry treats, water, and spare leashes. I can also follow any specific requirements and bring any special items that your pet may need. I look forward to spending time with and getting to know your pets. I recommend meet-and-greets, so your animal has a chance to get to know me, while also guaranteeing the animal's comfort and trust in the presence of its owner.
About: I have excellent experience with all ages of dogs and cats, I used to have multiple pugs, a Chihuahua and a hound dog I trained them myself . I also have alot of patience for the senior animals,I had my Chihuahua and my hound dog for their entire life. I'm a caring gentle , and patient animal lover and if I had the money I would open a no kill shelter for all animals including exotic and live stock. I'm very detailed and prideful when it comes to the care of animals. I respect any and all rules set down for your fur babies, and household rules. Please be prepared to do a meet and greet before any bookings are accepted. thank you - Brittany Due to job loss after 3 years of employment, my schedule will be open for the most part outside of my motherly and spousal duties. But for the most part completely flexible. I don’t accept boarding at this time , I have done a couple of house sitting jobs before 2020 happened. If a house sitting is what you would like please have a list of rules and expectations written for me as I have had past miscommunications and I would like to better serve your pets needs and abide by all house rules as smoothly as possible. I do have experience with grooming my own dogs and include a grooming table, and various tools such as scissors and shaving tools, also shampoos. I’m no professional but I am confident in my development. I will respect you, your home and your pets completely.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
