About: Peter has a talent for animals. He displays great presence, attentiveness and joy towards them. Also very polite, well-spoken and gracious, "Peace of mind home & pet sitting" began in 2011 when some of his friends needed someone reliable to look over their home and pets while away. Peter is also very thoughtful and a hard-worker. After receiving permission to do extra stuff reasonable and helpful around the house, he can assist with your gardening, cleaning the bbq and organizing things -- no extra costs. His motto is, "when these people are away on vacation, business trip or wherever, they can have peace of mind that their home is safe, pets are cared for and all will be and look the same -- if not better -- upon returning home. I am self-employed as an artist working at home/studio, and p/t outcalls as a CMT at sub-contracted local spas; so I create my own schedule around pet sitting. Many of my clients have remarked that I treat their pets better than they do. Pets are my favorite people, and I give a great deal of presence, integrity and care.

About: I've grown up in a house full of pets. I've helped raise dogs, cats, birds, and a tank full of various fish. This has given me experience taking care of and cleaning up after all type of household pets and critters. I live to spend time with animals and find great fulfillment tending to their needs and giving them the love and attention they deserve. I’ve volunteered at the Sonoma Wildlife Center helping care for the animals. I rescued a traumatized Cockatiel from a neglectful home, in the few months i’ve seen visual progress with him. And when I was little I helped rescue a litter of feral kittens, helping them find homes through Forgotten Felines and getting their mother spayed. I love animals and spending time with them and I would love to meet your fur baby and give them some more love and attention; cause they deserve it and you deserve a little break. I'm currently searching for employment while working on myself which leaves me with a very flexible schedule making it easy for me to focus fully on your pets well being. I am willing to stay in your home or drop in daily to check in on your pets. Making sure their well feed (accounting for any diet they might be on), are exercised and taken on walks, and properly socialized and played with. I also know basic dog training to help reduce bad habits if needed.

About: I have had a German Shepherd companion throughout my life--very blessed. That wasn't easy either as I lived and worked 26 years overseas--22 years in Asia, and took my GSD with me (every where possible). I have also "owned" some great cats--both here in the USA but also at my home in Thailand. Most of my GSD companions I trained myself and they were great in company--took them to work, took them traveling, had friends over...always good, always gentle, and very smart. I am currently semi-retired, so pet care is actually a nice treat. We--my wife, Hien, and I both animal lovers and enjoy the company of pets. We are unable to care for pets where we live, so caring for pets where they live is a very nice opportunity for us. Enjoyable.

About: I've worked in boarding facilities and veterinary offices for a combined 5 years. I'm experienced in providing care for dogs and cats of every age, nearly every breed, and with all kinds of medical conditions and behaviors. I work from home full time and can provide around the clock companionship and care. I love to get outside and go for walks and hikes, but I'm always happy to laze on the couch a bit too. I have one dog, Minnow, a 6 month old mixed breed puppy who is very friendly with all dogs. I have experienced administering oral medications and insulin, basic grooming, obedience and reactivity training, and puppy/senior care. I have previously fostered puppies in my home. I love all breeds from small to large, and anywhere in between! I have a very flexible work schedule. I often have weekend plans but am able to accommodate with notice. I do have one dog who I am the primary caretaker of. I live in St. Helena and love to take walks in the vineyards surrounding my neighborhood or over to Crane Park. I live with my boyfriend (pictured) who often helps provide care. I am comfortable crating, doing basic training, administering medication, and handling reactive or timid dogs. My goal is always to establish trust, and I'll always give time for your pet to warm up to me first. I'll do my best to meet special requests and make sure your pets are comfortable and happy while you're away!

We had just moved from out state, and our dogs were stressed of course from all the months of packing and travel. Our older dog is pretty much a couch potato not wanting much activilty at all. The reason I say Michaela has dog magic is because when the dogs met her, they immediately began their wonderful playful dog dance with each other around the house. She sent us videos each day of the dogs and it was delightful to see our older dog so inspired to go out and have some good fun he hasn't felt like in a long time. “Sarah is absolutely amazing! We have three dogs, one with orthopedic issues, one that is quite exuberant, and one that is nervous around new people. Sarah was patient with our introduction routine, and put our nervous dog at ease almost instantly. She was also great with coming to walk the dogs a few times, to make sure things continued to go smoothly, before staying with them while we were out of town. Our pack can be a handful, which often makes it hard to feel like we can leave them in someone else’s care, but we were never worried about Sarah! While we were gone, Sarah’s frequent updates were so wonderful and reassuring. We could see that the pups were really fond of her company, even Calvin gave her some of his much-coveted attention! She handled all the individualized instructions with ease, and was great about getting everyone out during breaks in the rainy weather. She was also so attentive, noticing that our dog Charlotte’s brace was rubbing, and giving us a heads up. We can’t wait to continue working with Sarah in the future. She’s a lifesaver!”
