“I left my Teddy for daycare while I had to visit family out of town. I absolutely love Jasmine and her pack. They are very welcoming and Teddy fits in and is happy. Happy dog, happy mom 😁.”
About: Ive had dogs and cats all my life from new borns to seniors. They all received love, time, hikes, cuddles, and attention. My previous cats have all lived their full happy lives with toys and cat nip and cuddles. Im very patient and i know how to read dog and cat body language to understand them better for your pets best convenience. I will treat your dog or cat the way id want someone to take care of mine. Nothing but the best! I am currently unemployed my fiancé works so im free all the time. Perfect for park time, and i even have long leashes so they roam safely. My dogs have a well diet they take dog vitamins to help with health. They play fetch outside for 1 hour 3 times a week and then 4 days a week we go to the park and play tug of war or fetch also. Good to keep your furry friends physically and mentally stimulated! They get cuddles throughout the day as well. Currently i have no cats my senior cat just passed 3 months ago from old age. So current dogs are good with cats
“It was my first time booking a dog sitter on the Rover app and I had anxiety of leaving my puppy with anyone. I’m so happy I decided to book with Paola, she is the sweetest lady and great with dogs included her own. My puppy had a great time spending the day with Paola and her puppy Katana. She took my puppy for walks and treated her like she was a part of her family. Paola made an effort to send me videos throughout the day which made me feel comfort knowing my puppy was in great hands! I have already booked my next dog sitting date with Paola and my little Rosie will be thrilled to see both Katana and Paola again. It’s such a relief when you know you can trust someone with your precious baby! Don’t think twice and book Paola for all your dog sitting needs, I know she will be my go to for all my dog sitting needs :)”

About: Hi! We’re Tiffany and Mike from Victorville, CA. I am a third grade teacher of 18 years. Mike is a work from home pet lover! We have a 6 year old daughter and two dogs, Eva a cattle dog mix and blu, a chihuahua/italian greyhound. We live in a 3 bedroom house in Victorville with a secure fenced in back yard and front yard. Dogs are welcome anywhere in the house and outside that they feel comfortable. We have a built in doggy door. We cared for pets using rover many years ago and are looking to start back up again now that our daughter is older . I look forward to meeting you and your precious pets!

“Amanda was amazing! Sent photos, gave medication and fed my little gremlin throughout his all day stay. I am very satisfied with her service and will definitely continue to book with her.”

“Tucker had a wonderful time and great stay with Xutao! We received daily photos and videos, of walks, and care. I felt relieved that I do not have to worry about our dog while we were away. I highly recommend. They come with a great dog yard and a very friendly household.”

“If I could offer a rating of 6 out of 5, I would! Thank you as always for treating our little Brunni like family! She’s always so happy to spend time with you and your family, including her bestie FuFu, the Old English Sheepdog. See you soon. 💯❤️🥰⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Daysha is a lifesaver! I came into town from over eight hours away under very stressful circumstances and had never been to the area before. When my pet sitter canceled at the last minute, I decided to bring my almost two-year-old Chinese Crested with me. My mom suggested trying Rover for doggy daycare. It was 9 PM and less than 48 hours before my arrival, but Daysha responded immediately. She was communicative, professional, and instantly put my mind at ease. She happily agreed to care for my pup on short notice, asked thoughtful questions about his routine, diet, and personality, and was incredibly flexible with an early morning drop-off and pickup time. On our way there, we discovered that the nonrefundable hotel I had booked didn’t allow pets. I had been misinformed and immediately panicked. We reached out to Daysha to ask if she could accommodate an overnight stay instead—even though we were still seven hours away and wouldn’t arrive until around 11 PM. She didn’t hesitate for a second and said, “no problem!” My dog sleeps with me every night, and this was our first time apart. I hadn’t planned for him to stay elsewhere, but Daysha was completely prepared and even had a crate available since I hadn’t brought one. She and her adorable chihuahua mix, Harlow, met us outside, and we introduced the dogs on leash first in a neutral space—such a thoughtful and knowledgeable approach. Then we moved to the backyard so they could get more comfortable off-leash. She even invited us inside briefly before I said goodbye, which I really appreciated. I was worried my pup might have a hard time adjusting, especially since he’s used to sleeping with me, but Daysha handled everything with ease. She didn’t force him into the crate (which meant a lot to me), and he ended up sleeping comfortably in the bed I brought. Throughout his stay, I received regular photo and video updates, and Daysha remained consistently communicative. Honestly, I think it was harder on me than it was on my dog! I’m so grateful for this experience—Daysha truly went above and beyond, and I would absolutely trust her again.”

“Jenny was amazing with Pepper. She was able to accommodate us last minute and was very flexible with timing. She sent us pics and updates often and was very quick in replying to us.”

About: I love animals. I grew up with dogs, a cat and numerous other animals. I have taken care of my neighbors pets, friends and families pets whenever they have needed it. It’s always been a fun experience. I am a stay at home mom, so I have a wide-open schedule that can accommodate others pet schedules, all you have to do is send in the request. I have a nice home, all hardwood and vinyl flooring. I currently do not have any pets of my own at this time, which would work well to take care of others pets. I have a big fenced backyard, plenty of room to run around and explore and nice grassy area as well. We have a small child, he’s very curious about all animals, we would love for him to get know your animal too!
“Yunuen & Saul are always so flexible with booking and make sure to update us with plenty of fun pictures of our fur babies. Bernie and Bruno seemed more relaxed when we dropped them off which reassures us that they enjoy staying here.”

“Ariana has taken care of my miniature schnauzer many times now. She’s great, always sends me pictures of my baby, has been flexible when I’ve had to make changes to my bookings and has taken care of my dog when she isn’t feeling so well. :)”

About: I've had pets my entire life! I currently have dogs, cats, birds, and turtles. I foster homeless and lost pets that I find out in the streets, including hawks lol. I am very respectful with senior and disabled dogs. I am happy to give your pets medicine (if any), make homemade dog food if that's what you do, be alert when taking smaller dogs outside to pee, make sure pets don't sneak outside and ensure gates are locked to prevent run-aways. I love my pets and I will ensure to take care of your pets as I would with mine. I will make them feel comfortable, safe, loved while you are away, so don't worry! I will be happy to also send pictures and videos and hop on facetime, so you can chat with your babies! I work from home M-F, so I am able to step away from my work to tend to your pets needs whether that's taking them out for a walk, out to pee/poop, feed them, play and take any medication of theirs (if any). I will take care of your pets as I take care of mine. I will ensure they are always in my sight and not be distracted on my phone as much. One thing about me is that I like to be present and not scroll away on my phone as much while on the job. I am always alert to hear if any pets are not chewing on things they're not supposed to in case of a choking hazard. In the past with foster pets, I've had to clear airways for them when they were choking, so I'm not afraid to stick my hand in their mouths to remove the object/food. I will ensure gates and doors are locked to prevent runaways.
“We were nervous of leaving our furry son Milo, but Natalie & Jorge gave us a great experience, they were both very friendly and we could tell how much they enjoyed dogs, they kept us updated throughout the day, they provide excellent companionship and take care of your furry babies like their own. I will definitely will be sharing my experience and bringing Milo back.”

“This was our girls 🐶🐶 first time having a day visit with Estella and it went well. As Estella was going over their day with me, one of our girls continued to lounge in the doggy beds that Estella provides, showing us that she was comfortable! Estella was very mindful of our 🐶🐶 needs and special quirks. She sent several videos and pictures of their day at her house, which we greatly appreciated! We will definitely try to have our girls stay with Estella at her home again! Thank you Estella. 🐾”

“She was very nice and made me feel comfortable to leave my best friends in her care over night for their first slumber party. Everything seemed to go well without any problems at all. My dogs seemed well taken care off and I will use her again next time it's needed. Thank you”

“I picked Diana to be my dog’s sitter after I read her reviews. The reviews was spot on with her updates and photos. My dog felt at home as she ran and explored her big yard. Diana is very easy to talk too and informative about dogs.”

“Greta is and outstanding sitter. Gidget loves to go to her house and play with other pups. I don’t worry about Gidget while I am at work because I know she is not only safe but she is having fun!! She is amazing!!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
