About: I love animals and they love me! I have been pet sitting for 3 years and have several repeat clients. I have had medical needy dogs I care for, senior dogs, and so many more. I love to help reduce their stress when their family is gone. I make it my job. I am there for the pets so I work my routine around them. Our pets are our family members and I work to give them the care and love they desire while the family is absent. I ask clients questions before hand, ask for a full list of instructions of what the pets require at bed time, meal time, potty time, and kenneling. I ask to meet the clients pets before the pet sitting date so their pets have met me and ask them to show me where they keep all the pet supplies so I can make sure they can leave their pets in my care without having to worry about a thing.
About: I've been around pets all my life and currently have a cat. Although it struggles with accepting affection, I do not struggle with giving it. About: I currently have one pet of my own, he is a bicolored Tabby cat named Juice! I’m really excited to use this app as a way to give some love and attention to pets with just the bonus of making some side money :) I live in a very nice area with a doggy park and plenty of trails and places to walk! I go on walks all the time here. I’ve had family pets my entire life and have had my own to take care of by myself so I feel I’m qualified to take on this responsibility. I started Rover around 4 years ago while living in NYC and dog sat nearly every weekend! I’ve had experience with all sorts of pets. From big dogs to small, chill to playful, old to young, etc. I’ve sat multiple dogs at the same time, cared for a deaf puppy, another puppy with a strict schedule who ate specific meals and took medications, and I’ve also sat a cat! My biggest thing is just going to be communication for the animals needs and the owners preferences, so I can do the job successfully. By that I mean what time the animal eats, how much they eat, how often they need to go potty, things the animal likes/dislikes, any concerns the owner has, etc. really just anything the owner thinks is important to know! I currently work in coffee so my schedule can be sporadic, but my shifts are typically 4-6 hours long. It’s usually pretty easy for me to move shifts around if necessary too, but other than that my schedule is very open and flexible! I like to make pets that I care for feel at home. They’re always allowed on furniture, they get plenty of love and play time. I love practicing tricks with treats and going on walks in my neighborhood. As for caring for an animal in the clients home, I care for the pet in a clients home just the same as I would my own, with of course the added respect to the clients home. I like to keep a moto of “leave it better than how you found it”.

About: I have had several different breeds of dogs growing up. I currently have a pit mix and 3 weenie dogs. I raised 3 puppies within a year, so I don’t mind caring for puppies if that’s what you need! I am comfortable around large and small dogs. About: My family has owned dogs as big and energetic as Dalmatians and as small and laid back as mini poodle mixes— I’m really comfortable with all types of dogs. I know some look scary on the outside but have hearts of gold! I also have experience taking care of reactive/anxious type dogs and know the common triggers to avoid. I have a good sense of humor and just love dogs! I’m home from college for the summer and other than a few online classes, have a really open schedule. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
