About: Although my family has always had dogs, I am a cat person at my core (don't tell my parents!) I've lived with a few cats with roommates and we just get along. I was the primary caretaker for one of such cats while my roommate was ill. I fed Rice Chex, scooped the litter box and played with her everyday. I deep cleaned the litter box as often as I could to make sure Rice Chex got the care she deserved. Just give me a time and place and I will make an effort to be there for you and your pet/pets. I have a pretty open schedule. I’m the proud owner of two wonderful dogs: Indy, a 6-year-old Papillon, and Loki, a 3-year-old Corgi. Indy is a calm, observant pup, while Loki is playful and inquisitive, always eager for attention. I raised both dogs from six weeks of age and work from home full-time, so I’m always present to give pets the attention they deserve. Before Indy and Loki, I cared for two cats who each lived to 18 years old, providing them with a happy, well-loved life. During that time, I became experienced with administering insulin shots, pills, capsules, and liquid medications, and I’m attentive to the subtle behaviors and patterns that signal a pet’s needs. My home features multiple pet gates for safe separation when needed, a second floor for flexible space, and a large, fully fenced backyard with lush grass. I live in a quiet, flat, dog walk friendly neighborhood . While I’m not currently sitting cats, I’m happy to provide dogs with consistent care, attention, food, and any required medication. Because I work from home, I can accommodate nearly any reasonable request. I am able to take frequent breaks and often spend that time playing with my two dogs or taking them on walks. They are let out at regular intervals and fed twice a day. I can keep your pet within my view at all times while I’m home and can accommodate a crate if you prefer. I'm flexible with times and locations! I offer attention to detail and love for pups. I'm the pup mom that knows all my dogs allergies and favorite foods! I've had dogs my entire life and even as a kid began training them! My friends always choose me when they are going out of town to watch their pups. I actually decided to join Rover after one of the pups I watch dads suggested I should! I work from home with my black lab who loves everyone and is a gentle soul (her 2 besties are a min pin and a golden retriever) and currently she is the only animal in my house. We take hourly stretch breaks to pee and play a little ball! I have a fenced yard with grass. If you'd like, I'll send cute pictures throughout the day too! Also if allowed, the pups go with me to get weekly pups cups from Starbs. I work from home and have a black lab, so all day everyday I do pet care. My job fortunately makes it easy to interact with thr pups and make sure their needs are taken care of. Prior to recently (they moved), I was watching a golden retriever (Duke) along with my lab every week day and his dad is who suggested I start rover as he would often say "I know my buddy is safe and happy here, he has the best of time". About: Back when I was a kid, my family owned a cattery that I helped take care of. We owned 32 cats and 1 dog at one time. Growing up, I learned how to truly take care of animals, helping deliver kittens during birth, bottle feeding, and training them to be tolerant, friendly, handleable, and able to take walks on a harness and leash. I've had many different pets since then, including a snake, fish, and cats of my own. I've always loved animals of all kinds and I've had a unique kinship with almost every animal I meet. I commonly hear "They're usually not this friendly" around new pets I meet, and at parties and other events, I'm usually found petting the dog on the floor somewhere. I currently have Dasher, and raised him from a clumsy, curious little puppy into the happy, well-mannered goofball he is today. Along the way we've done it all together: crate training, obedience work, and of course tons of playtime, belly rubs, and zoomies in the backyard! Because I work from home, I get to spend my days with a dog by my side, which means I understand the importance on companionship, routine, and a calm, loving environment. Your pup won't just be "watched" while you're away — they'll be genuinely cared for, cuddled, played with, and given all the attention they deserve. Dasher especially loves making new friends, and he's always excited to welcome another dog into our home. Together, we'd be thrilled to open our door (and our hearts!) to your furry family member. I am typically out at the gym from 5:30–7:30 in the morning M-F. Your pup would have some independent time, and even then it's a short window before I'm back and fully available for walks, feeding, and playtime for the rest of the day. Because I work from home, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I'll able to check in, play, and take breaks with your dog throughout the day instead of leaving them alone for long stretches. Your dog's safety and comfort always come first. We have a large, fully fenced backyard, so there's plenty of room for your pup to run, sniff, and play freely without any worry. And our very friendly golden retriever, Dasher, would love nothing more than to become your dog's new BFF. We also take safety seriously behind the scenes. Dasher is crated at night and any time I need to step away, so he always has a safe, cozy space of his own. This would be the same for any pup in my care. While dogs are out and about with us, I'll keep a close eye on them to make sure they're staying out of trouble and not getting into anything they shouldn't. I'm also comfortable handling medications, following specific feeding schedules, and accommodating any special routines your dog is used to at home — just let me know what they need. I know leaving your dog with someone new can feel like a big step, so building trust matters to me just as much as it does to you. I'm always happy to set up a meet-and-greet beforehand, answer any questions, and send updates while you're away to give you peace of mind.
