About: Need a reliable pet sitter? I’m your girl. I have been working in the animal field for the past 11 years. I’ve worked everything from shelter, boarding facility and now currently at a specialty hospital for the past 7 years, 5 of those years working as a tech in the surgery department. I have seen it all and very comfortable around all type of dogs. From the shy to the goofball I can handle them all. In the home lives 2 rescue pitties, a cat, and 3 kids. While you enjoy your time away your baby will be able to enjoy cuddling on the couch watching tv or running outside in my fenced yard with my 2 goofballs. My goal is to make sure your baby is well taken care of and comfy so you have one less thing to worry about while you’re away. I currently work full time at the hospital. I have plenty of time in the mornings and after work to care for your pets needs. I have a fenced in back yard and 2 dogs to keep your fur baby company! I accommodate all stays and visits to what makes you and your pet most comfortable!

“Blair took such a good care of my Leo Coco. She sent me updates with photos without even asking. She responded to me every time I texted as soon as I texted, even at 12am at night. I forgot to bring Leo Cocos bed, so she gave them nice cozy blanket to sleep in. She also kept them for on extra day with last minute adjustment request. Overall we are very pleased with her service. Thanks Blair for going above and beyond to take care of my babies.”

About: I am very patient with puppies and I can train them and I will make sure any dog and my hair stays clean if they are filthy and finally clean drinking water and treats the owners approved. I have a flexible schedule for the dog owners when they are for me and I can work every day if needed and that’s all. I will make sure the dog has a fresh clean bowl of water and they will have access to run or walk in the backyard if they gotta go potty.
“Kenneth watched my dog nova for a day and overnight when I went to a Mardi Gras parade and I can’t be more pleased. First off it was last minute and during Mardi Gras nonetheless so it was very challenging to find someone, Kenneth made it easy and responded to my request almost immediately. I was able to drop nova off and felt like I left her in good hands. Kenneth sent me lots of videos and photos during his time with nova which was also super appreciated. And finally when I was an hour late picking her up because I lost my keys and had to wait on a locksmith, he didn’t mind. Overall if I could give 6 stars I would and if I need a dog sitter in New Orleans again I know who to ask. Thanks so much Kenneth!”

“Leaving Bentley with Kate and Conor felt like having a friend take care of him! Bentley was immediately comfortable with them. Kate was attentive to all of Bentley’s care needs. Bentley wasn’t even that excited to see me when I picked him up, which always tells me when he feels right at home with his sitter. Highly recommend and will definitely be rebooking!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover who will provide enthusiastic and reliable care for your pup! I grew up caring for my family’s dogs, riding horses, and pet sitting for my neighbors’ dogs and cats. Now that I work from home, I have time to give your dog the attention they deserve throughout the day. My fiancé and I have a fenced in backyard where your dog can enjoy outdoor time, and our terrier mix, Clementine, will be happy to make a new friend! I also have experience with senior dogs and understand that older pups may need a little extra comfort and care. Since I work from home, pet care is a part of my daily routine. Your dog will have plenty of company during the day! I’m able to provide potty trips, backyard time, walks, and pets routinely. My dog is absolutely a part of the family, and your pup will be too when they stay with me. Please be detailed with care notes or any special needs as I want your dog to feel at home when they’re with us.
“Alejandra was so great to rely on for excellent pet care for my weekend trip! She was super communicative and kept me updated with pictures and videos of Prince enjoying himself. This was his first time with Alejandra and she made me feel very reassured that his safety and well being was taken care of and a priority for her. Prince can be a high energy dog and she kept up with his playfulness and energy so well, would definitely look to book with her again anytime I will be away and need a sitter for my boy!”

“Sophie is the best! She is very communicative and went above and beyond to help my pup feel happy and comfortable while I was out of town. Sophie graciously shuffled her schedule to take my dog to the vet for an unexpected issue and made sure to call me so I could talk to the vet. Sophie is extremely reliable and my dog absolutely adores her. I highly recommend Sophie for fantastic care for fur babies!”

From the initial meet and greet up to picking my dog up after his stay, Bekah was a fantastic communicator and made our boy feel right at home. I love how much access he had to their large back yard and it was great that he had a couple of pup pals to play with too. Thank you for all the great pictures and updates. Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
95% of sitters in Avery Estates can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Avery Estates home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Avery Estates.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Avery Estates sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
