About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs. I currently have a sweet, playful 70 lb bernedoodle who’s 2.5 years old and full of energy. My experience includes daily walks/runs, grooming, playtime, and providing plenty of love and attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I also offer dog RUNNING services for those high energy doggos that just need an extra zoom around during the day! Just book as a walk and add in a message that you’re interested in running. :) Pet care is a natural part of my everyday life. I work 4 days a week at a local hospital, typically 7-8 hour shifts, so I’m home in the mornings and evenings to give pets plenty of attention. My own dog enjoys daily trips to the nearby dog park, plus quick potty breaks in the large grassy area behind my apartment. I make sure visiting pets get the same level of exercise, playtime, and affection to keep them happy and comfortable. In my home, pets have a safe, comfortable space, access to a fenced balcony, and constant access to fresh water. I follow their feeding schedules closely and provide regular walks or park visits for exercise. My friendly 2.5-year-old bernedoodle loves having playmates, and I always supervise interactions to ensure all pets feel secure. I tailor care to each animal’s needs, whether that means active play, cuddle time, or a quiet resting spot. If your pet is crate-trained and you’d like them to have a crate during their stay, please bring your own so they feel comfortable and at home.
“I am so glad to have chosen Savanah to walk my precious girl, Scout, while I’m at work. She gives thorough and thoughtful updates and gets amazing photos of my happy girl. Savanah is so sweet and you can tell she really cares. She is reliable and a great communicator. She did everything I requested and was sure to confirm she did so at each visit. Scout was extra playful and happy everyday after Savanah’s visits!”

About: For eight years, I volunteered with the Wake County Animal Center in Raleigh, NC, where I fostered 60 dogs—from newborn puppies to senior dogs and every age and personality in between. While I’m not a certified dog trainer, I’ve worked with pups who had anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding, medical needs, and even deafness (I taught one dog 15 different signs!). I’ve handled recovery care after surgery, heartworm treatment, skin and eye issues, potty training, and medication routines that required attention multiple times a day. I feel confident and comfortable with any dog—big or small, shy or hyper, special needs or seniors. I haven’t had to give injectable medication before, but I’m completely comfortable learning and have no hesitation. I work part-time as an assistant for a local Asheville artist. I’m often able to adjust my hours around your pet’s needs, especially for midday walks, extended stays, or regular check-ins. Pet care isn’t just something I fit into my day—it’s a huge part of what makes me feel grounded, happy, and fulfilled. I haven’t fostered since moving to Asheville, and working with dogs again is a way I’m reconnecting with that part of myself. I share custody of three senior dogs—now 14, 13, and 12—and they’ve been with me most of their lives. My 13-year-old tripod, a boxer-hound mix, lives with me full-time and is my best friend. Because of him, I’m especially tuned into the needs of older or special-needs pets. At home, I live in an apartment with three private dog parks on the property. They’re usually empty, which gives us a safe place to play, run, or just sniff around. For boarding, your dog will need to meet mine first to ensure everyone vibes well together. In your home, I always do a meet & greet beforehand to get to know your pet and their environment, plus give you a chance to get to know me. Through my years of volunteering at a busy municipal shelter, I’ve developed a strong ability to read dog body language—whether that means giving space to a nervous dog, redirecting rough play, or stepping in safely if a situation escalates. I also know how to interrupt and break up dog fights safely, though I do everything possible to prevent them from happening in the first place! Your pet’s comfort and safety, and mine, are my top priorities- wherever we are.
About: I’ve cared for dogs all my life. I have 3 labs of my own. My heart is with animals and I love them all! I am grateful to spend time with your babies & love them like my own. They are such gifts to us. I work park time and make my schedule up myself so I am free for dog walks most week days with some availability on weekends. I have a fenced in yard & 3 labs of my own. I will play with your dog to get energy out, walk, play fetch, whatever you ask! And of course plenty of belly rubs (if they are open to them of course)
About: I’m a registered nurse that also loves animals and would love to walk your pet on my days off. I will care for your dog as if they were my own. I work 3 days a week so I have 4 other days of the week to play around with for your pet’s needs. I have 2 dogs of my own as well so I am familiar with caring for dogs. I would care for anyone’s pet as if they are my own. I love all types of animals and treat them with the utmost respect and care.
About: Pets have been in my family as long as I can remember - two cats my entire childhood, two family dogs, guinea pigs, etc. When I got my dog, Hercules, I dove headfirst into the world of dog care and training. It (and he) has been such a joy so I want to widen my experience even further. I firmly believe that one of the most important things for a dog's well-being is mental stimulation and exercise. That can come through walks, new experiences, learning new tricks. I'd be happy to provide this for any dog under my service - varying depending on my time spent with them. I'm extremely flexible and willing to work with the owner to find times/activities that work for them. We added a cat, Odin, to our family in 2020 and that has widened my experience and comfortability with cats significantly. I work full time during the week (Mon-Fri, 8-5) but am free on the weekends. My dog is comfortable waiting the 8 hours during the day, but we get lots of energy out in the evenings and spend all our weekends together. My weekends are open to new friends! I am familiar with all of my dogs quirks and how he interacts with his environment. I don’t have that firsthand knowledge of your dog (yet!), so I would defer to whatever information is provided to me. I would keep your dog strictly on leash when outside of your home—I’m not willing to risk any accidents.

“While I was away celebrating my daughter's wedding, Axios and Aurora cared for my pups, Koa and Tuck. From the start, their communication was both thoughtful and kind, providing sweet updates that showed me all was well and allowed me to relax and enjoy my time away. Their attention to detail was impeccable. They asked insightful questions, making sure that they understood every nuance of my dogs' routines and preferences. It was clear that they were committed to providing the best care possible, and I appreciated that so much. Koa and Tuck went on daily walks and hikes and were showered with love and snuggles. After a long day of travel home, I found my home immaculate, a testament to their respect and diligence. They also left behind fresh flowers and a loaf of delicious banana bread, which was such a sweet surprise! Kai and Axios are truly lovely humans, and I would welcome them back without hesitation-in fact, I hope they come back! I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needs dedicated and compassionate house and dog sitters. Thank you, Kai and Axios!”
Susan E.
“Susan is the perfect companion for any dog (animal). She's loving, attentive, takes initiative to tend to their needs. She has very calm, sweet energy that the animals connect with and literally snuggle up to. She's consistent in her love and care for animals in general, although I know she's taken a special affinity lately to dogs. She's volunteered at dog shelters to learn more about them and become involved as a healer and guardian angel for many of them. I strongly recommend Susan as your pet caretaker.”
