About: I have lived with at least 2 dogs in my household for the past 20 years. Providing them with the opportunities to live fulfilling and healthy lives has been my priority. Although I am their caregiver, I consider them also to be my teachers. Learning how to communicate with them is the best way to ensure they are happy and calm, and that they feel safe. I am currently retired and spend quite a bit of time at the dog park. My dog and I are mostly inseparable. I take him with me to run errands when I can. It isn't always practical and so he minds the house when I am away. Barney is my only companion, and, even though I'm kind of a loner, Barney is NOT. He is extremely friendly and social and craves the company of other dog;, that factors into my decision to care for other dogs in my home. Barney will help me keep your dog comfortable and happy while in our care. We have a fenced back yard (4 foot). The surrounding properties have no dogs at this time. If your dog can jump a 4 foot fence, this may not be the safest home for him or her.

Last year I lost my soul dog, and while nothing replaces that bond, I've found real meaning in opening my home to dogs who need extra care and patience — through fostering, and now through caring for yours. I know how to read a dog's comfort level, build trust quickly, and adjust to what each individual dog needs, whether that's an active play schedule or a calm, steady routine. Your dog will be loved and looked after like family. I am currently on Sabbatical, and can't wait to fill my down time with being present with your pup(s)! We can have lots of cuddles and walks! I have a fenced yard and a lovely walkable neighborhood! I have a senior dog, Highway that is very welcoming to other dogs that visit!
